"I don't think the idea would be too out there... Seeing as there are people all over the world with Digimons as well besides myself and my friends."

Are crossover RPS okay? I can't find any living Digimon blogs except for two. You're one of them.

"The Digital World's been doin' better ever since i stepped up as King!- and unfortunately yeah, that means a lotta paperwork to deal with..."

"If it's not Wisemon helping him decipher those, he'll sometimes show up in my Xros Loader and ask for my help."

"Taiki... You're truly my lifesaver........"

"Though... Shoutmon hasn't been showing up as often anymore. And i think that's because he's getting better at navigating their paperwork, so i'm glad i could be of help for a short while."

"Oh, ya mean Taiki right? I heard a couple o' people call him like that sometimes... Though i don't think he's that big of a fan of it if his face is any indication."

"Taiki's, well... Taiki's an all round awesome guy! And if it ain't for him i'm sure i won't even be around anymore- or both of our worlds for that matter."

• Taiki is trans (this came to me in a dream so it's forever canon in my heart)

People in his life (family, friends, etc) were surprisingly fine with it (returning his kindness for helping them with the kindness of supporting him :})

Though there are a few exceptions (mostly people at school) that would remain silent and pretend they're supportive but the second Taiki's not within earshot, they start referring him with the wrong pronouns or gossip about him (yes im giving him issues, he needs issues)

The majority are quick to scold amd correct them— but Shoutmon?

Taiki lets out an exasperated sigh.

He had been exploring through this part of town with Shoutmon for atleast a couple of hours now, still not quite sure about where this weird Digimon's presence was even at.

Well, he supposed that Kiriha will be Kiriha, regardless of how much time had passed since the last time they've crossed eachother's paths.

But it would be nice if the blonde hadn't decided to vanish to god knows where after dropping that bombshell on him.

Still though, his friend hadn't been wrong. Prior to his announcement, Taiki would sometimes hear something graze past his ears, barely audible before it faded away, easily drowned out by the hustle and bustle of the world.

And whenever Shoutmon had been around, no longer obligated to his kingly duties for the day, they'd confirm that they'd felt the same thing too, just as briefy.

"I wonder if Shoutmon's found it already..." The brunette muttered absentmindedly.

Even if Taiki's been bestowed with the blessing to hearing a Digimon's soul, their ever beating melody, he wouldn't be surprised if Shoutmon outmatched him in that department.

He knew his people better, after all.

As Taiki began weaving his way through the crowd of people- likely getting home from work, trying to avoid the forecasted rain, or both- he noticed a soft glow whisk past him from the corners of his eyes...

Split paths and cover more ground in the Human World. He'd suggested.

Sure, it could put them at risk, especially with him strutting downtown like he owned the place.

But at the same time, he was atleast tall enough to be mistaken to be just some guy in a really elaborate mascot costume.

While Taiki wasn't too big of a fan of this idea, Shoutmon thought it would be equally worth the trouble since Kiriha thought he'd be soooo helpful by just dropping information and fuck off entirely after.

And despite their best efforts, he hasn't been able to find what the other General had mentioned- yet.

Instead he finds himself getting more looks from people than good progress on their search.

He won't let himself be deterred though, because if he did, he won't be called The Digimon King to begin with.

"Bright."

Not in a blinding way, but broader. Encompassing like sunlight against a gentle sky. Taiki looked smart; eyes of easy expertise.

"Caring."

Not that Taiki seemed like he would be gentle with the world, but more that he would think about what he might do before jumping in, and be willing to face how his actions affect those around him. Taiki's air was one that opposed naiveté, despite his young age and happy-go-lucky exterior.

"Skillful."

Kouichi couldn't have known Taiki was a child prodigy - an athlete - a strategist. A leader of a digital army. But Kouichi had been a warrior of the digital world, and it was almost second nature to notice the way Taiki walked with calculation and experience. The way his eyes surveyed the world with intent. Kouichi couldn't have known what it was that made Taiki skilled, but how could he not see how Taiki stood like a leader?

"Loud."

Kouichi didn't need to know the digimon's name to surmise as such. Even without the musical visual theming, the little red lizard monster seemed to scream in its every action; passionate and convicted. 'Loud' wasn't meant as judgement - simply observation. But one that came from a more critical, almost offended part of Kouichi.

"Spirited."

Passionate. Energetic. Heated. Forceful. Of all such face value characteristics, Kouichi had plucked 'spirited' from the digimon's disposition first and foremost. Shoutmon seemed like the whimsy of a fire, dancing as it reached towards its great burning purpose.

"Warlike."

Not combative. Not aggressive or antagonistic. But just, when the warrior looked at Shoutmon, Kouichi felt the thrum of it. Like drums in the distance. Kouichi couldn't be sure if he should be worried about such a first-blush impression. All he knew was his hands almost ached like the venom of panic had snuck into his veins.
