This is one of the prints that was steam roll-printed during nuit blanche. Unfortunately it was really windy (and this is on fabric) so it got a bit wrinkled and the ink was filled with wood chips from the instalation that got knocked over by the wind next to us. But it's not bad considering. I'm thinking of carving into the pigs a bit more and then I will consider this baby done! *I just need to find a way of printing it again ;) #nbog15 #woodcut #printmaking

Getting ready for Nuit Blanche. I'm really excited to be steamroller printing again :) Just a casual fishing trip for dead pigs (inspired by the thousands of dead pigs that were (still are? ) found floating down rivers in China. There was a story about how fishermen were being hired to fish the dead pigs out of the river (I think this was the Huangpu river)

So I led my very first workshop at Possible Worlds this past Sunday ( which I was absolutely terrified about, but you know what those Lulu lemon bags say...)

I also Have some group shows coming up, which I will bring up as it gets closer to the dates.

Lastly, I am in this show with some (cool) artists May 12th. Kaylie Seaver designed the great poster. She does tattoos too- so get at her if you’re looking for a tattoo artist.

*If you don’t in fact know what those Lulu Lemon bags say, it’s something like “ do something that terrifies you everyday” I’m pretty sure they also say “children are the orgasm of life” or something though, so it’s always best to take advice from a bag with a grain of salt.

It's hard to tell, but these are printed on two separate sheets of clear plastic (i was holding them with one arm, trying to keep them as separated as possible, while also trying to take the photo with the other - and that plastic is surprisingly HEAVY) #printmaking #woodcut #environmenthypocrite #plant #slides #science! #nature

Finally finished! Didn't have paper big enough to print it on so the edges are cut off. Not in love with it, but it was an experience. Now I just need to get the acetate to print it on. I also think it would work nice with colour, as the plant slides I looked at were all really beautiful. #done! #plant #plantslides #science! #nature #printmaking #woodcut #mdf
