I had never tried a fig before I came to Morocco. Fruits in general are expensive in Japan and you don't find figs so often in the supermarket, so I couldn't have a chance. But here it's among ordinary cheap fruits, and man, it's delicious! The dried fig is a must souvenir.

The town we stayed called Rich is known for apricots, or machmach in Moroccan Arabic. They gave us a bagful of the fruit so after we got home I made juice and jam from it. The jam goes nice with baghrir and it's perfect for ftour.
