Close friends are refreshing. They’re the people that you breathe a little easier around. I desperately need those people. When the past few weeks have been a blur of confusion, there’s something to be said about talking with a friend. We all face our own battles. When it comes down to it, we all are responsible for making own choices but this doesn’t mean you have to go it alone. There’s relief in sitting across the table from a close friend and just talking about everything you’re feeling at the moment. Asking each other, “do you ever feel like this?” And discovering, “You’re going through that too?!”. It brings everything back to earth and simplifies it. Suddenly all the confusion you’ve felt is grounded. Suddenly, there’s someone who understands and your problems really ARE NOT that uncommon and overwhelming. I think that’s why God gave us friends— He works through them. So I raise my glass to the people in my life who know the details about me. The people that know the good and bad about me and still love me. I highly recommend having those people in your life.

When people say they ‘give up on life’ it tears me. You’re supposed to live your life to its fullest not to its weakest. If you don’t like your life, there’s a solution, change it. Go out and explore the unexplored and go on adventures. Don’t waste your life giving up on it if you don’t attempt to make it better. If you have hope and determination to live a good life, you will.
