how do you get that grainy texture on your artworks?

I use the Noise filter in Photoshop

Create a new layer and fill it with color (I usually pick white but I used to picked light grey a few years ago) and put it on top of your layers

Then add a Noise filter (Filter > Noise > Add Noise)

You can custom the Noise settings (I put mine Monochromatic). Adjust the Noise amount to your liking.

Set the layer mode to Color Burn and you’re done. However you can choose another layer mode, I just like the Color burn mode ;P

Aaah thanks! Actually I'm experimenting with soft colors lately, might try saturated colors next time. Oh you have some cute art too 😃
