June 25, 2009: Lisa Marie Presley has some sort of premonition and learns Michael Jackson has died (night in her time zone)
O: Where were you when you first heard [of Michael Jackson’s death]? Where were you?
LMP: I was in England and I don’t know why but it was the strangest day of my life. I was crying all day. […] I don’t know and I don’t normally do that. I was trying to work and I came home and I was literally cutting my food eating my dinner crying and I wanted to go upstairs and go upstairs and watch something mindless on TV and stop crying. I looked at my husband and said “I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I just can’t stop, and then an hour later the call came and I heard.
O: You heard, who told you?
LMP: It was a friend of mine who just… Actually, I got streaming texts, “Are you okay? Are you okay? What’s happening?” Actually, John Travolta was one of the first texts I got, “Are you alright?” And I said, “What’s happening? Is this actually happening?” It was still unclear, you know.
O: And your reaction, your first reaction?
LMP: Real honest to goodness shock. Not even tears, just floored, I was honestly floored.

In the CNN report, Michael and Lisa’s marriage was described as a “sham”, an obvious “publicity stunt”, “disgusting” and “silly”; which earned a response from Lisa herself, the next day:
“I am going to say now what I have never said before because I want the truth out there for once. Our relationship was not "a sham" as is being reported in the press. […] I do believe he loved me as much as he could love anyone and I loved him very much.”
