well one thing I never thought about as a kid is how ANGRY a lot of MJ's songs are and how that contrasts with him being soft-spoken and kind.

I think this is one of the major reasons why he's having a comeback and people can't get enough of him atm. People are angry about social issues and the state of the world and just as it happens Mike was angry about these things 30 years ago so. Relatable af.
