I can’t believe I’m going through all the trouble to download an emulator just so I can play FE Awakening to see one character in action.

Okay but someone telling Narsus that ‘yeah you used to burn brighter than the sun, because you had hope for this world and you hope you’d be the one to change it’ and backs Narsus out in the conversation that Narsus actually feels up a wall, because it’s all true, even though nothing physical actually happened, ‘but ever since that thing with Andragoras you’re just dead and empty inside. You’ve lost hope. So you left everything you held dear behind and you’re just waiting for the end of the world.’

If only her requests were as simple as she’d made it to be, he would not ask further of it. He’d spent years of willing away the many facades people had spent their time building up. Made to delude its victims into a callous, perfunctory illusion that puts them at a delusional ease. She’s lying - or at least, not telling the full truth behind her motives. Narsus knows this much, and could not have concluded any other reasons other that the one that has already taken a firm root to his mind.

No harm done should he show her around, it’d be a rather refreshing change for the long-winding arguments and debates Narsus knows its waiting for him once he’d attend the meeting by the war table. Call it a disadvantage for all the times he’d spent accumulating enemies, which is, technically, half the council of Andragoras’ court. He’d have to stand his own ground, batting away flying insults and conflicts to diminish his capabilities.

The cover would make her already small frame only look smaller underneath it. Dainty digits still trying to clutch her quill in one hand as the other made sure she didn’t look the papers before her. Not that anyone would take her papers, or at least she had hoped, not that they would do anyone any good if they were not her or skilled in the same art.
The scribbling went unheard or at least for the time as she faded in and out between dream and reality. He was almost like a dream to her if she hadn’t known that wasn’t her hand before her. ♜
To leave strategic charts in the amidst of a rumpled mess of paper is strictly a failure as both a strategist and a chancellor, he supposes, moreso in the presence of a stranger outside their command. He’d practiced strategies no longer than six years, but prided in his ability to quickly wield the gist of it --- repetitive schemes with a means to engage them into a disadvantageous fight, leading the enemies men into a trapdoor that puts them where they’re wanted. But what if it failed? The loophole many tacticians have failed to foresee.
Despite the ingenuity of any tactic, flaws exist where they could be outsmarted --- and it is perhaps why he’d added a few details to the one laid before his sight. Ways he could outsmart her if he were her enemy and aware of her plans, how he’d do it, when and why.
Narsus is a rather later bloomer into manhood. Considering the facts that all 9 of his siblings are sisters and possibly even his entire household ( his father’s concubines, maids, etc ). He is mostly in the company of women when he was young, and thus lived the life of one. He’s grown very particular about his appearance, fuzzy about his looks, and complexion, etc, because of this reason and did not even learn to drink until he was 18. Eventually, he indulged in a wider circle of acquaintances the older he grew, as seen when Elam was possibly around 6-8, which makes Narsus 19-21, Narsus joined other men on hunting trips and etc and developed more manly characteristics. Although he was a late bloomer, he bloomed quickly and adapted to his expected social niceties quite naturally.
He does not only have ‘one personality’ Narsus changes and acts accordingly to whom he is speaking to ( for the times when he .... ahem ... is in a good mood; he would still spite enemies and present himself to be annoying deliberately but not inconsiderately ). Which may appear to be a ‘discrimination’ of genders in the modern world, but to Narsus, being rude / cussing in front of women is strictly against the gentlemen’s code; but he wouldn’t hold back in front of men or close friends. Though all in all, it doesn’t make him uncomfortable to keep ‘switching’ personalities. It’s the same thing as flipping the page of a book.

Yeah. Adult/Minor when it comes to immortal beings in which they practically remain at a fixed age is different. But here ... everyone is simply human and a teenager in a romantic relationship with a man in mid-thirties is just weird.
Only one thing I really dislike about the Arslan Senki fandom is that the adult/minor ships are widely popular and encouraged. I don’t exactly.......hate it. But it gives a weirdly uncomfortable and uneasy feeling.
A Narsus and Robin aesthetic board. I have to say this is one of the first joint aesthetics I’ve ever done and the first I’ve ever posted. I tried to make the individual boards represent commonplace things and traits for the characters. Then I tried to display their similarities in the center board. I hope that I did both characters justice, especially @narcasse‘s Narsus. (Also, Robin’s twin managed to sneak a little into the center one. lol)
