its kinda silly how people in fallout justify ghoul raceism against non-feral ghouls becasue of feral ghouls, to the point in which people just shoot ghouls in general becuse they "look similar ", when in game non feral ghouls esentianly just look like badly burnt people, while in contrast basicly every feral ghoul any wastlander would encounter looks like crypt corpse dumped in sewage water.

No, its way more nuanced than just “because they look the same,” it’s because ghouls can become feral (sometimes without warning) for a multitude of reasons. But it usually boils down to 2 things that have been explained in the games and related media:

1) The ones that accept their condition and are “strong minded” enough to keep going (and both preserve their humanity and mental facilities over hundreds of years) donot turn feral. The ones that give up and “let go” turn feral, while also maintaining some of who they once were (like the personal items they carry, and in the show, saying their names). It’s also implied to be somewhat related to dementia. Living for hundreds of years in a decaying body is going to do that to your mind eventually, so I’m surprised more ghouls aren’t feral already after all of that time. Must be the Mentats, probably.

2) Radiation, which turned them into necrotic post-humans in the first place, can also turn them feral with enough exposure. Similarly to the dementia thing and Mentats, not taking Radaway when exposed for a long time weakens them and thus turns them feral as well.

Of course, this isn’t to say the xenophobia they’re shown throughout the series is justified at all. But it has more nuance than a lot of people think. A better example of this is Mutants, and theres a lot to get into there that I think is interesting (especially the Master’s army).
