in spider-man 2 when spider-man is trying to stop the train from crashing, the first thing he tries is stopping the train with his feet pressed against the track, but all that does is break up the wood planks on the track without slowing the train down at all. when spider-man gets up to rethink his approach -- already exhausted and agonized from his fight with Doc Ock before he even blew out his knees on the tracks, dealing with his Aunt May getting evicted on top of his own poverty, having literally JUST pushed the woman he loves and who loves him away again, and now feeling the enormous pressure of the lives of everyone behind him being at stake unless he thinks fast --

an old man behind him says "You got any more bright ideas?" and there's a split second where spider-man just looks at him like this

Game Reviews: Dustforce

I really want to like this one, I really do. Great Idea for a platformer where the ground, walls and ceiling all need to be cleaned, and as long as you're doing that you're building a score modifier. Combine that with some aerial tricks and plenty of movement options and you'd think this would be right up my alley, right?

Unfortunately it just does not have controls that works for me. That might be a consequence of me playing it on the Vita, but I just couldn't get comfortable with it. You drop like a rock after just a bit of airtime and i found it difficult to intuit what costs me my air dash and double jump. I really think it would have benefited from floatier, N style jumps to let you better get a grip on the scoring. As it is, it discouraged me from trying more.

I can definitely see how this game could find a crowd that loves it if you aren't bothered by the particulars of the controls. Like I said, it's a great system for score-chasers and speedrunners, and it has a really clean (ha) graphical style that is simple and fun to look at in motion. But it can't overcome the way the game feels to me.

from like 9 to 12 i would try to fall asleep by ‘making’ a new seinfeld episode in my head. i would open with a jerry seinfeld standup bit that was almost nonsense (its not like i can write standup like he can at 10 years old) and then it would be jerry and george arguing about a girlfriend i made up with some kind of pointless issue (”she wears bigger pants than me, jerry! everyones gonna know, who wears the pants!”) and then kramer would walk in. by that time id be almost out

I got my wish of the Rockman-San manga getting an English release, now if only we got that Legends Legacy Collection I keep wishing for...

It's thoughts like those that drove me to draw Sera from Legends 2, haha.

Okay, so Volnutt being here was kind of an afterthought. I started just drawing Sera in her 1st-form battle armor, but the picture looked empty so I added Volnutt in there to fill negative space. His head looks a bit weird. :T

I started this on Sunday night and added to it off and on since then, and finished up during lunch today. :3c
