with her back leaning against the sleek bar top, cloaked in the fantasy ambiance as the music thumped through her brain, jasmine covertly watched the group of suit-clad businessmen hoot and holler at the dancing bodies in front of them. throwing their money as if it grew on trees, a slight smirk grew upon her lips as they made fools out of themselves. were they targets for future endeavors? perhaps. “people watching” was something jasmine did whenever her fingers got… twitchy, and if a random someone possessed something that could benefit her, then all the better. her thoughts were interrupted when she caught an oncoming figure approaching from the corner of her eye. already having her line prepared (after having said it four times that night, none directed to the actual employees), the woman kept her attention forward as she spoke. “yes i’m here alone, no i don’t want a drink.”
Nash hadn’t approached the woman to buy her a drink, he actually hadn’t approached her at all. It wasn’t his fault the line out of the bathrooms and towards the crowds was flooded with intoxicated warm bodies and made him pass by people a bit too close for comfort. He turned to look at her, slightly confused until he realized what was happening. He also figured that it’d probably upset her if she knew the truth so he decided to him her an apologetic smile instead. His lips only parted enough to say one phrase, “No worries.” And then, as luck would have it, someone bumped into him which created a domino effect that he couldn’t stop until he knocked into her and spilled her drink. “Sorry about that... you sure I can’t get you a refill?”
