“There’s going to be a lunar eclipse Friday and the super moon is coming up. Honestly I can just feel the moon coming through and bringing me all sorts of good energies.”
“you really believe in that stuff, huh?” he asks, a small curve settling on his lips. “there’s no planets in ... what’s it called? retrograde, right? none of that happening?”
aaliyah was perusing through the record store, trying to find the perfect one for her collection. most of the records she saw were for older bands that her parents might have fawned over but she had no interest in them. but when she finally got to a band that she actually liked, she quickly swiped up the album called suburbia, i’ve given you all and i’ve got nothing by the wonder years. “i’ve been looking everywhere for this,” she mumbled. “do you know if this store has the upsides or the greatest generation?”
“ huh? ” nas was too concerned with how futile his search was that he barely heard what the other was saying. it had been weeks since he last visited the record store where he found nothing worthwhile but presently, he’s hoping to find michael jackson’s off the wall to bring home. once it dawns on him that she was speaking to him, he shrugs his shoulders, “ no. i mean, i don’t know. i mean, i hope they do? ” he sounds more than hopeful. “ is that something you’ve been looking for? ”
[matthew mcconaughey vc] alright alright alright. if anyone's interested in plotting with both of my children, you can find nas’ page HERE and ayanna’s HERE.
「 ZAYN MALIK, MALE, 28, MAJID JORDAN. 」┈ did you read that latest viral gossip issue on NASIR “NAS” MANSOURI? he is the LEAD SINGER in GOOD PEOPLE, one of my favorite R&B/SYNTHPOP groups. they’ve been releasing music for SIX YEARS now, but viral gossip has only been talking about them for the last YEAR. get this, i think i heard THAT HE HAD SOMEONE ELSE TAKE THE FALL FOR A CRIME HE COMMITTED. they’re known as the BLACK SHEEP of the music industry, since they have a rep for being SELF-ASSURED but RETICENT, but who knows. maybe that will change once they become #1.
*sandy cheeks vc* howdy partners!
it’s me, sam, who enjoyes calling herself ham since she was just a wee lass and this is me being lame for an intro since i’m bringing in a new muse. ayanna is quaking as i type. ( ugh my mind ... truly amazing, i know )anyway, this is is nas and the following is some details about him. viewer discretion is advised since it’s about to get tv-14 up in here. hopefully, the stuff i find important might be relevant to you. otherwise, you can definitely reply w something like “ wtf no one asked for this “ but anyways, *kel vc* aw, here it goes!
nasir mansouri was born to lena cooke and hassan mansouri in morocco. his mom was on a visit and happened to meet his dad on a whim. it led to a lengthy romance that drew his mom to stay rather than return home and of course, him coming into the mix. parents were never married which was strange to him when he was younger. nas didn’t ask questions as to why they never did or what stopped them since they were quite happy with how things were. the living situation was lit, though.
though, they only lived in morocco until he was five since a decision was made to move to england (wow, original much?) and they settled in bristol.
growing up, he was genuinely a happy child. his parents were supportive of anything he wanted to do. soccer - er, football? go for it. theatre? break a leg. painting? you got it. the only things that actually stuck with him was the piano lessons and how much joy it brought him to be able to play “twinkle twinkle little star” on the keys.
the only thing that caused quite some trouble was a speech impediment he possessed. his severe stuttering would make conversations difficult; teachers pulling him out of class, kids teasing him and much more. as he grew older, he preferred to cut a few classes in order to deal with things through his own devices.
don’t get it twisted, though. he was that kid that cut class but still managed to pass with flying colors. shocking, i know.
trigger: drugs. it led to him getting in with the wrong crowd. drugs, partying, vandalism and much more became his thing. i mean, why wouldn’t it be?
at the same time, his parents grew concerned about his activities and instead of letting things go too far, they stepped in for a wake up call and wanted to steer him in the right direction – get their son back.
so his rebellious stint was on the back burner or so they thought. he was still chilling with the individuals they wanted him to avoid but he was living up to the façade by making his grades count, performing his chores around the house, et cetera.
so when it arrived to applying for college, nas was desperate to escape being underneath his parents. he loved them. he did but he assumed it was time to make his own decisions so it’s why he was hoping to go overseas and setting his sights actually worked. he was accepted to a few but settled on one in toronto, canada.
so in one of the few nights left before he’s off, he celebrates by going out with a few friends and reliving the past one last time. he comes up with an idea of going into one of the abandoned buildings in town, citing that leaving their mark would be the perfect going away gift. involving spray cans and a few dumb asses, no one knew that people around were paying close attention to his group and of course … the police were called.
although, it was his idea and he fully knows damn well that it was his words that led them into trouble, a friend that he considered more of a sibling decided to take the fall with knowing that nas’ future would be at stake.
it’s something so stupid and he knows it. there’s a lot of guilt there but since it happened over ten years ago and the person is honestly okay, he’s doing everything he can possibly manage to assure that the friend is set.
so yeah, he goes to school. does his thing even though he’s incredibly guilty at the time but he’s able to manage by meeting new people and being quite popular amongst the campus community.
as a result, he’s able to meet the other half of his group while at a party of a mutual friend. it’s a chance encounter, though, but one he doesn’t take for granted. their love of music is what brought them together in the first place.
from creating that soundcloud account and noticing their initial post becomes an unexpected hit to being able to assist in the studio and penning some hits for today’s artists, nas is aware that being hometown famous and almost famous are two different things.
which leads into his label, the black sheep. he’s vocal about a lot but only to those close to him. in interviews, people consider him to be odd because he’s so reserved and allows his counterpart to do all the talking which kind of goes back to him being younger but at the same time, he prefers not to reveal anything crucial about him. he’s not sure about this hollywood thing but he’s willing to make it work. keyword is willing.
but yeah, that’s nas and if there’s anything to add, i’ll update this whenever i get a chance and not freaking out about this heavy rain outside that sounds like it might sweep away my house.
also, i’m still working on his plots page but general plots like best friends, friends, friends with benefits, enemies, past relationships and more works so if any of that interests you just let me know with a like and i’ll hit you up when i get a chance. alright, i’m outta here now!
