I love her so much!! She’s so sleazy and cocky! I gave her antenna because I couldn’t give her a mustache for obvious reasons but it kinda worked out in the end!

here she is!! peanut butter cookie, the companion oc to grape jelly cookie! design notes under the cut

i wanted to go for a chic but casual kind of outfit, BUT add a little sass by giving her the cat-eye glasses and the kind of skirt design she has

i tried to make the hair shape look kinda like how peanut butter can look when it's spread on toast. the strands are there to both give flair and add to the "texture"

her face is actually based off of girlfriend from fnf! i wanted to give her this chill but also nonchalant look

i tried to use the gentler elements (like the softness of the eyes, fluffiness of the sweater and little sneakers) to represent the sweetness of peanut butter, and the sassier elements (the skirt shape, the sharp eyelashes and cat-eye glasses) as the saltiness!

on that note, someone suggested i give her white freckles to represent salt crystals, and i think that really added to her casual chic look

one little project i did on the side was making a higher quality color reference for thumbelina from the don bluth movie of the same title! there's a decent blank linework model sheet, but a low quality colored version... so i decided to fix that by cleaning up the linework and coloring it for ya!

first we have this version, which is directly referenced from the pantone colors of the annotated color guide version:

then, i made a second version where i gathered color references from the actual animation cels and cross-referenced them with each other to find that perfect balance:

i hope this is useful to those of you out there that'd like to just color-pick from an image rather than just eyeballing it!

a little cookie run fan design! i didn't put my signature like usual because this is actually made from a base by aquaamaarine on twitter (and i'm not gonna do that when i didn't make it from scratch)

their cookie run art style guide was super helpful, and i recommend checking it out if you're interested! design notes under the cut

first of all, i put a lot of circle/round motifs to resemble grapes, such as her hair and dots for the eyelashes

for the colors, i leaned into the purple that's associated with grapes, except for the eyes. i based that color off of how of grape jelly looks in real life

my ideas of her personality leaked into her aesthetic. grape jelly is typically very sweet, so i went with my instincts and went for this bubbly girl-next-door look

to get that girl-next-door vibe, i went with a y2k styled halter top and light blue jeans decorated with lace to give it a cute touch, as well as a bracelet and kinda platform sandals that were popular during that time.

(just because i was a kid during that era didn't mean i paid much attention to fashion besides in the movies and with bratz dolls... thank goodness for pinterest because it was a big help in getting it just right!)

the hair is very inspired by pinkie pie from mlp, who's known to be the type of outgoing i pictured grape jelly cookie to have!

a small detail you may notice is that she has a hairclip with a jar of peanut butter on it.. hmm 🤔
