There is something about how Dustin lashed out at Steve because he's someone who makes him happy, and he didn't believe he deserved that, so he hurt his friend while grieving. That is so so juicy for me. Like, it says a lot about Dustin's comfort level with Steve, but also how it's NOT a relationship that is founded on being equals.

But I love the contrast to Robin and Steve because I know Robin would never do that to Steve. Because they did start as equals. And they're much more in sync when it comes to morals and emotional maturity. These two comfort each other. That's the true beginning of their friendship, sitting on the bathroom floor making each other laugh.

And I like that contrast because it shows how different friendships develop. Like one becomes comfortable enough to inflict pain, while the other is comfortable enough to be vulnerable.
