Heated Rivalry but instead of ice hockey, it’s the 1930s-1940s Golden Age of Hollywood and Ilya are the leading men for two rivalling production companies (like MGM vs Paramount).

They’re stuck in this rivalry because of their contracts. Back in this era, the Studio System contracts came with exclusivity contracts that lasted up to 7 years at a time. These contracts also gave the studios complete control over their image (what roles they could play, their public life, adhering to “moral codes” i.e don’t be gay etc)
