Stupider promises have been made than the promise to get married.
I just think marriage is pathetic.

That’s really stupid. I mean, on one part I get it. But, it’s still just a ring.
Just a dumb promise.

Weddings are stupid.
Agreed.
Well damn...
Lennox didn’t always make good decisions around booze, but it sucked when she forgot to pace herself and it all hit her at once like a ton of bricks. “Yeahhh…good one.” She said, poking Nate gently in the chest and snickering.
Nate knew right then and there that nothing was going to happen between them that night. She was a lot drunker than he and there was no way he was going to do anything when she probably wouldn't remember in the morning.

Your looks. The way you’re eyeing me, and others. It’s gross.
Nothing wrong with looking.

"Might be a tad drunk. The pre-bar shots might have been a not-good idea." She said, but she laughed anyway, placing her elbow behind her on the bar for support.
Laughing, Nate knew he wasn't exactly sober either, but he was better than Lennox. "Maybe we should get you home?"
Well damn...
Trying to pluck the positive side out of the morbidity, Lennox looked at him and smiled gently, one of the rare genuinely kind smiles she gave out. “People show their true colors when things are bad. And your true colors are awesome, apparently.” She said, and then finished off her drink, meaning to place the glass down on the bar but accidentally slamming it down. “Oh, shit…” She giggled, pulling her hand away from the glass.
Looking at her hand, Nate cocked his head to the side. "You okay?"

"You make all other big siblings look like asshats." Lennox said, staring at him with big eyes, her lips a straight line. Then she smiled, shrugging and sipping her drink again. "Myself included, but I mean, that’s an easy feat." She said, grinning and leaning against the bar again, 20% because she was lazy and 80% because downing three drinks that consisted of tequila, vodka, gin, rum and some blue liquor crap in a small space of time was starting to have an effect on her.
Laughing for no reason, Nate shrugged. "Well, when you see your parents violently get murdered in front of you, it kinds of brings siblings together."

Smiling again, she nudged him with her elbow after a moment, looking up at him with a raised brow. ”Now tell me, what does a usual night consist of for you? I don’t see you just drinking and grabbing numbers from men named Barry before going home alone to knit a pair of baby booties by the fireplace.” She said, sipping on her drink contentedly.
"I don't go out often, at all really. Only when I know my sister isn't going to be home otherwise i'm with her, no questions asked." Nate spoke, smiling a bit.
Well damn...
Tut tut, so eager.
Well damn...
Grinning, Lennox put her straw to her lips and finished off her second drink, making some sort of hand gesture at the bartender that he took to mean ‘I’m tipsy so make me another’, and she was thankful for it because that was what she meant. ”My drinks are on your tab, by the way.” She said, looking at him seriously as she put the straw of her third drink in between her teeth.
Shrugging, Nate took another sip of his drink. "Figured. Don't really care."
Well damn...
I’ll waist no time.
I'm waiting...
Well damn...
Lennox nodded approvingly. ”That’s a fantasy of mine, actually. I’d also really like to ride someone named Foghorn Leghorn, but he’s got to say ‘ah say!’ really loudly at climax.”
Staring at her for a minute with a confused look on his face, Nate couldn't help but laugh. It was almost a snort in the way he choked on his own breath and covered his face.
