okay so. this is one of my favorite cutscene moments in uncharted 4. but hear me out. this is also a very emotional part to this cutscene. ive been thinking about this so much and. just, when you watch this clip, look at Sam’s reaction when Sully said “cause somebody’s gotta keep an eye out for him” talking about Nathan. I feel like Sam looks so hurt by that comment. and this is why:

Sam took care of Nathan basically his whole life up until his “death” in the Panamanian jail. He dedicated his whole teenage and young adult life making sure that Nathan was safe, happy and healthy. And when he got shot and lost contact with Nathan for 15 years, all he wanted to do was get back to his brother and do what he loves, with the person he loves the most: Nathan. So when Sully says “cause someone’s gotta keep an eye out for him” it makes Sam realize that he wasn’t the one looking after him for the last 15 years, it was Sully. That makes him feel bad. His whole life, all he has ever known is taking care of Nathan and keeping him safe and happy, and when he really realizes that that was not him doing it for 15 year, it sort of breaks him inside.
