She ran after Nova as fast as she could, but it was difficult when she couldnât shift and hell hounds are damn fast even for puppies. Granted he didnât look much like a puppy considering how big he was, but he was still very much so. She chased him the best she could and needed to stop him before he got too much closer to the Barton farm knowing that her alpha was probably on high alert by now.

Nate had been out in the fields when he saw the young pup running past . Before he realised it , his eyes glowed and a soft growl rippled from his lips
The young pup came to a stand
"So who do you belong to , Jrs not a shifter at least I dont think so" He puts down the bow as he picks up the pup
"I am so sorry" she bows her head "Nova just got a way from me, he never takes off like that, but I"
She tries to catch her breath "I couldn't catch him"
"Are you ok?" He is no longer worried about the pup in his arms but the fact Sophie was tired
"I think so." She finds a rock to sit down
"I am not fast enough in human form to keep up with him"
"I am sorry we have gotten so close to your home"
"You are always welcome here Sophie "
"Are you sure you are ok you dont look it "
"I am very tired and thirsty and I do not feel well"
"I think I must get back so I might lie down"
"My place is closer I can get Clint to call to the base for a doctor " Its not a suggestion he wants to look after Sophie He doesnt mind the fact the puppy will destroy his gear but its no matter
âIf it would not be too much trouble. I donât want Nova and I to be a bother to you and your family.â She was fine otherwise, she just hadnât expected her puppy to take off the way he did and she had been preoccupied with worries over Hypnos and Byron.
"Come on this way " He lead her to the bottom area of the loft. The old barn had an upper and lower part Mostly the bottom part had had one of the teens and her boyfriend but today was empty
"Lets get you some water"

She sits down and tries to think âI am notâŠI donât remember. I donât think I have eaten to be honest. I remember I had gotten up and Nova was scratching to get out and we were playing and thatâs when he took off.â

" it may be a good idea to put a leash on him next time you might not catch him " Nate dissapered for a moment to grab dome cake he kept up in his loft and brought it to her
" Clint and Barney did the conversion it usually has one or more of the younger ones down stairs but they know not to come up unless invited "
" You should be feeling better right now" He sits opposite her " I'll walk you back to the base so I know you are alright "
