Ditch Ad Block Plus.
And now for an announcement from your friendly neighborhood IT worker.
If you use Ad Block Plus, you should uninstall it and download and install uBlock Origin immediately. (There are Firefox versions of all the extensions I’ll talk about here, just google ‘em. And some for IE, Edge and Opera.)
Ad Block Plus is now now only letting advertisers pay them to whitelist some ads, but is now letting advertisers pay them to put their own ads on websites INSTEAD of what you would normally see on that website.
Please remember that it’s possible to spread malware, including Crypotowall type malware, through ads on websites. Yes, ads are how websites make most to all of their revenue, but until ads can be trusted to not destroy your machine, you should not view them if possible.
Please make sure you get uBlock Origin and not just uBlock.
I also suggest installing a flash blocker like FlashControl. This will keep flash from automatically loading on websites you visit. Unfortunately, malware can be spread through just about any version of flash. Make sure you keep flash up to date, as well. FlashControl will be slightly disruptive to your browsing habits, but most things will load with just a single click. You can always disable it on a website if it’s being too disruptive somewhere.
If you really want to protect your privacy, install Privacy Badger. Privacy Badger will stop trackers / cookies from knowing who you are and where you’ve been on the internet. It also can be slightly disruptive, so if a site isn’t working correctly, disable one or both of FlashControl and Privacy Badger.
Even if you don’t want to do FlashControl and Privacy Badger, PLEASE do yourself a favor and move to uBlock Origin. Hope this helps!
Please read. Ad Block has sold you out to the ad industry, and this is not an exaggeration. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/adblock-plus-wants-serve-you-ads-wait-what-1581285
fact checked. yep, it’s for real. uninstalling asap.
I was having trouble with the links above due to Tumblr’s redirecting not working. But here’s the addresses for the three programs in the Chrome Store.

you know that Thing in a fandom that you don’t like but then it becomes more and more popular and you see it everywhere and suddenly you go from mildly disliking it to fucking despising it? yeah love that
instead of Friends they should’ve called it Friends & Ross
every conflict the Friends had to face was directly the cause of Ross
just saw an episode where chandler was trying to give joey money since he was struggling financially but joey was too proud to take it so chandler made up a gambling game where joey always won so chandler could give him money without him knowing. perfect example of two great Friends. then joey, confident with his skills in the game, goes to ross to play with him and loses it all to ross. joey tells chandler and he goes to ross and explains the situation and how the game was fake and asks for his money back but ross wouldn’t give it back. just one of the many examples of ross being a worthless piece of shit
I just watched the episode where Rachel hires a male nanny, Sandy, who is perfectly qualified and experienced. All of the friends love him including Joey who says that he is ‘learning so much’ from him. Except of course Ross who is a dick to Sandy the entire episode just because Ross doesn’t think being a nanny is a man’s job. Ross even went as far as to ask if he was gay in the job interview which I’m pretty sure is a big no-no. Ross eventually ends up firing Sandy purely because he’s a man in a female dominated job and because he thinks is too sensitive which is hilarious because the only sensitive one here is Ross and his fragile masculinity.
What about the one where Ross gets upset because his two year old son wants to play with a Barbie? He spends the entire episode trying to convince him that G.I. Joe is better.
How about the part where Rachel got a dream job in Paris, and fuckboy Ross who had treated Rachel like shit in the past, decided to try and win her back at the airport when he should have just let her go to her dream job.
I watched an episode where Ross and Rachel got trashed in Vegas and then went to the chapel and got married. When they came to Ross wouldn’t get an annulment because he didn’t want to be known as the guy who gets divorced. He is kind of awful.
KEEP THIS THREAD GOIN KIDS DRAG THAT FUCKER
Or the one where Ross yells at Rachel for dating Elizabeth’s dad because it’s “weird” for him but had no problem going out with Rachel’s sister, Jill, when Rachel had an issue with it.
Or how about the one where Rachel is having the time of her life at a job she loves, but insecure douche canoe Ross has a problem that she’s working with another man, and gives Rachel such a hard time about it, she decides she needs a break from their relationship
The show Friends actually invented the term ‘friendzone’ to describe Ross’ inability to show Rachel that he wanted to be with her (back at the start).
Wasn’t he also a dick to Monica about her weight? Not a cool guy.
LSD3 Period 3 Week 5: Assignment 5.4
Soda, pop, coke. Dialect change through online social networking.
Social networks create an opportunity for dialect contact, which results in dialect diversity; this phenomenon is also recognisable in online social networking and the influence of mass media.
Online social networking influences dialect diversity in such a way that dialects change. It has been proven that social networks influence people’s speech, naturally online social networking is no different. Online social network sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr enable people of different social backgrounds, cultures, languages, and dialects to ‘connect’. Different people, writing in different dialects, come in contact with each other and their dialect. Dialects can change when they come in contact with other dialects. To see that dialect changes have happened influenced by increased dialect contact through social networking a research has been conducted attempting to find out whether Twitter can be used for “creating dialect maps and studying regional variation” (Russ 2012). The researchers found that the dialect map as plotted from the Harvard Dialect Survey was quite similar to the dialect map they plotted from the ‘Twitter-data’. There were some differences between the two maps but they were indicating different variables in different areas. However, the map containing the ‘Twitter-data’ showed that some variables were also used on Twitter by people living outside of these indicated areas. So did they take a closer look at the variable of ‘soda’, ‘pop’, and ‘coke’ in the United States of America. They had the data of the Harvard Dialect Survey that indicated the variable of ‘pop’ being used in the “Midwest to [the] Pacific Northwest” (Russ 2012) whereas ‘coke’ was mainly used in the South and that ‘soda’ was used all over the United States of America but that it was used exclusively in “New England and Southwest” (Russ 2012). However, the ‘Twitter-data’ they collected showed that ‘coke’ was also being used by users of Twitter in the North East and North West of the United States and that ‘pop’ was also used by Twitter users living in the South of the United States. These variables in word choice of different dialects now overlap. Whether these speakers use a different word than they are expected to because they got into contact with a speaker of a different dialect is still not proven but it suggests so. Also, it has been proven that social networks do influence people’s speech. When dealing with change from above the word or speech sound usually is a borrowing from higher-prestige social classes. Change from below, however, can be introduced by any social class. The most advanced changes are found in the younger generation, which is also the generation that is most active in cyberspace.

LSD3 Period 1 Week 2: Review Assignment 2.3
“The breakneck pace and dizzying emotion are the true source of this novel’s irresistible readability at all levels” reads the School Library Journal’s praise for ‘Th1rteen R3asons Why’ by Jay Asher. The young adult novel, a New York Times bestseller, tackles the very delicate subject of suicide amongst young adults in a very impressive way.
Making use of the usual form of narrative in young adult novels, the book’s narrative is first-person. However, unlike most earlier mentioned novels, Asher’s novel switches back and forth between the thoughts of main character Clay Jensen and Hannah Baker’s voice on cassette tapes. Like Clay, the reader has no idea what to expect from the tapes. Like Clay, the reader has to either listen on, which is possible since all of the audiotapes are recorded and to be found on Asher’s website, or read on what Hannah has to say in order to get to know Hannah’s story. The pace of the novel is quite fast; the timespan of the novel is set to all have happened within a day. That is, Clay listens to Hannah’s tapes in a day. Like Clay, the reader is immediately hooked on the story. Clay is the perfect character to narrate the events, he’s the character the readers all want to root for and since said character is so eager to find out how on earth he ended up on Hannah’s list so is the reader.
The book is an easy read, time and language wise. However the immense amount of emotion that this novel deals with, and evokes, is a whole different story. Hannah’s story will stick with you forever, whether you like it or not. If you do not enjoy sobbing over fiction I would advise you to stay away from this story. However, if you are up for a tale that will change you forever, ‘Th1rteen R3asons Why’ by Jay Asher is the best thing that can ever happen to you.
I chose the 'marked' words given the fact that I am a firm believer that you are supposed to express your feelings/emotions in a review. However, given the fact that you want to do so in a professional way you need to use words that are professional. Also, you might want to use some words that actually have to do with the subject matter, given the fact I am reviewing a book, I might want to use some novel-related jargon.
Hello
