Is any of it r e a l ?
I know your secrets.
Fitting for a show about those occupying society’s technological substrata, Mr. Robot’s characters are often placed at the very bottom of the frame. This leaves massive amounts of headroom that suggests a great weight hanging over their heads, and echoes their isolation: When they’re talking right to each other, they seem alone. [x]
Come on. Beers? Lets get some beers in here!

that design came from costume designer ann foley, who counts the tactical uniforms of deathlok and mockingbird among her favorites on the show – as well as a sparkly dress worn by actress ming-na wen during a fight scene. when asked what bennet’s costume conveys, foley had definite ideas. “it’s about strength. she feels very empowered in it…. that’s what was important to me, that she felt empowered to me,” said foley. “i wanted to stay true to some of the designs i saw in the comics. in the style lines, i wanted to pay a little bit of a tribute to her tactical ability from last season, but we also incorporated the quake symbol into her gauntlets and on the back of her suit.”

AOS + Badlands lyrics (insp.)
I’m searching for something that I can’t reach.
“So I came in one day before we shot the pilot with my personal hoodie from B:Scott that I’d had for years. But I knew that I couldn’t just offer it up like, ‘Hey, look at this!’ I knew that wouldn’t fly, as everyone wants to come up with their own idea. So I just kinda paraded myself around the office until the powers that be said, ‘Hey! Did wardrobe put you in that?’ And I said, ‘Oh, this old thing? I’ve had this for ages,’ and they were like, ‘Why can’t he wear that?’” … “It’s a shield for Elliot, in a way, and it’s also his cape. As he goes out and plays hero in the night, he dons the hoodie and it’s a place where he can feel disguised and that he’s flying under the radar, undetected.” - Rami Malek
i knew the moments before this were leading up to some kind of fake out but i was not expecting this
Is any of it real? I mean look at this, look at it! A world built on fantasy. Synthetic emotions in the form of pills, psychological warfare in the form of advertising. Mind altering chemicals in the form of food. Brain washing seminars in the form of media. Control isolated bubbles in the form of social networks. Real? You want to talk about reality? We haven’t lived in anything remotely close to it since the turn of century. We turn it off, took out the battery, snacked on a bag of GMOs, while we tossed the remnants in the every expanding dumpster of the human condition. We live in branded houses trademarked by cooperations built on bipolar numbers jumping up and down on digital displays hypnotising us in to the biggest slumber mankind has ever seen. You’d have to dig pretty deep kiddo before you can find anything real. We live in a kingdom of bullshit, a kingdom you’ve lived in for far too long. So don’t tell me about not being real. I’m not less real than the fucking beef patty on your Big Mac. As far as your concerned Elliot I’m very real.
“We’ll get out of this, okay? Together.”
