He liked hearing the attitudes of the other clients at the Haus, not expecting their Cinderella’s to be staff members, not on the hunt to settle down with anyone as instead they just enjoyed themselves. For so long he felt like the odd man out because he never was able to settle, no matter how hard he tried to will himself into actually LIKING someone it just never stuck, so at least here the clients were all around for the same thing - to have fun and live a little. The scene back home he could have sworn was all about finding that sugar daddy and getting a ring, and that shit straight up SCARED Oliver.
The fact that the surgeon was intent on furthering the time that he’d spent with Oli tonight only made him that much happier. He could be doing ANYTHING, or anyone for that matter, but he was choosing to fill his time with the construction worker. "I wouldn’t object to some alone time to catch up,“ because that’s all he figured it’d end up being - two friends catching up after not seeing each other for a while. "How about we take that walk and then let our travels end by the pool?” The best of both worlds, Oliver couldn’t complain about that (plus if there were others by the pool he selfishly didn’t want to have the others divided attention as much).
He burst out laughing as he shook his head, reaching to link their arms together as he started to pull the client in the direction of the path to the track. "The last thing I want to be labeled around here is some sketchy creep,“ he still couldn’t stop laughing as he walked close to the other, though he did at least drop his arm letting his friend have his own space back (Oliver wasn’t much for personal space though when he truly trusted someone). "With good reason, have you LOOKED in a mirror lately?” He teased, though it was the truth, not only the man was a doctor (that was enough in most books) but he had the looks of a damn god. "There’s probably not a single person at the Haus that wouldn’t look at you with those intentions.“
When Oliver chose time to catch up Nathan found his smile widening. As much as he wanted to get some action tonight, he didn’t want to engage in pointless chatter or rushed services. “I’m glad you decided because I was going to head back to my room for the night if you had chosen otherwise.” he teased, yet there was some truth to it. A part of Nathan wanted to just connect with someone before giving himself away physically. It’s what made the experience all that much better. Something he kept to himself due to the fact that no one would understand. Then again, Nathan was still trying to figure himself out; How a man of his age still couldn’t find it to settle down, yet he wanted a type of connection. What was going on with him?
When the other linked arms with him, he smiled and gladly held on. “I should have thought of that.” he added, all while clearly enjoying the idea. “How have you been, Oliver? Tell me what is new with you? I’d have thought you’d be happily engaged with someone as handsome as yourself by now, so if i’m being honest i’m a little surprised to see you here. Happy but still surprised.” and it wasn’t meant to taunt him or draw any worry towards him. It just gave him some relief that he wasn’t the only one that was still single and, well, here.
“I promise I was only joking, you can never seem like a creep. More of a mysterious person that would attract everyone’s attention.” he teased.which wasn’t a lie. Creeps clearly had a different persona and it wasn’t even remotely close to the way Oliver was. He could feel his cheeks redden at the compliments that were thrown his way and he had to shake his head to cover up the fact that he was clearly red. “You flatter me, stop it my head will implode.”. As the other dropped his arm, Nathan left his arm where it was, allowing his hand to rub against the others lightly. “Any luck in finding someone here to entertain your needs so far?” he asked, “--Or better question, any odd ones to avoid?”
