This was bothering us so uhm..
Thinking of r/systemscringe today and remembered posts that posted somebody's SP.
PLEASE don't do that without somebody's permission.
The people on the subreddit were saying "They treat it like social media!!" like...
We have privacy buckets and the ability to add and remove friends for a reason. Sure, it's not a social site, but we can control who sees what, even more with the privacy buckets. If somebody put their SP out there, they can deny or accept any friend requests and make sure their SP is made for that. Our SP is public (found in a reblog on our actual main and on our Pluralpedia page), and we have privacy buckets to ensure strangers can't just see everyone ever. We make sure distant friends or new friends can't see everyone ever. The only person that can is somebody super duper close to us. We did that ourselves.
So, Don't post somebody's SP. If you do, you're an asshole. There is still some level of privacy, which includes friend requests before you can see profiles and needing privacy buckets to actually see the alter profiles.
If somebody is sharing it like a "social media", who fucking cares? That's *their* account and they can do whatever the hell they want with it.
TL;DR : Don't be an asshole and post somebody's SP without their consent. Even if they treat it as a "social media app" (which I've seen like nobody do actually), there are levels of privacy and is never truly fully public ever.
