The story of Hazbin Hotel is, in one word, about REDEMPTION. I think that's clear. But there are a lot of forms and ways that a person can be redeemed! Charlie wanted to help demons change so they could escape "eternal punishment" AND possible, permanent death caused by Angels assasinations. Fortunately the second problem has been solved hooray!
But I think Charlie forgets that not all demons see hell in that way. I mean, Charlie herself was born in hell and definitely considers it her home. I just can't seem to picutre how every demon (who wants to become a better person*) would like to throw away their current life and friends they made here in hell! Pentious was, and probably still is, feeling lonely up there! But in his case it was either perma dying or going to heaven so yk, it's good he's alive.
Anyway I got off topic. I'm rambling but NOT about the thing I wanted to- Vox. Yeah. He has HELLA POTENTIAL (hell. hella. yk) He's a charismatic man who somehow manages to make people listen to him. He's hypnothisiing even when he's not using his powers explicitly.
I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow managed to rebuilt his reputation again from scratch.
The problem is, when he first appeared in hell, he was a nobody. Now he is a HUGE somebody who FUCKED UP and everyone hates him. That makes thing difficult.
I believe Vox will be this big bad villian of the series that will prove ANYONE CAN CHANGE FOR THE BETTER. Vox manages to redeem himself but not in the sense Charlie and story first explained it. I think hell needs that kind of person. Like Lilith. A person who would listen to them, help them, try to make hell great and united again.
Vox, by all means, doesn't deserve to go to heaven (I believe it would take like, 3 times the time he spent in hell to Attone for all the shit he's done, and that's an optimistic scenario. Possible but would take a looooong time). And in NO universe would he even want to become a saint there! He is a proud man sitting in the pride ring in hell and he ain't changing that.
Like imagine Vox but with... morals. And goals that benefit not just his ego but the entirety of hell too! Come on, he has NOTHING NOW. And all he ever wanted was to be SOMEONE AT THE TOP. But it was never enough, he climbed higher and higher but it was all in vain and now he's lower than ever.
And when you reach the rock bottom, you start to think.
And I believe that Vox will eventually find a way to feed his own ego by helping, like genuinely helping Hell. He wants to control people, he wants people to listen to him, to follow him, simply like him. He's an entertaining guy, he'll get there eventually.
Like in the final battle of final battles, I believe Vox is going to be an important ally. He can bring people together and it's fucking HELL like come on, you gotta admit that's impressive.
Anyway that's it. I just want Vox to get his shit together and then see for himself how nice it is to be genuinely loved by a crowd, without having to fucking own your employees souls- That would be cool too. If he decided that, to mess with Alastor, he breaks all of the soul contracts he made, to show Alastor (and hell-) that he literally CAN reach the top without HELP from ANYONE (Alastor liked to mock him about relying on Vees, Carmilla, etc, so now Vox can rub it in Alastor face that he doesnt need to own any souls to be an Overload with influance and money and power!)
