im so worried about people seeing ships like Ianxbarley and assumed that its not the minority of the fandom. That most of the fandom openly against sexualizing gay relationships to a point where its pedophilic and incestuous. I refuse to be apart of a fandom that let's this go on and the fans just look away. "Just ignoring it" is fine but showing people that ships like that have REAL consequences even if "they aren't real". I feel like im just crazy and scream for nothing. But I know people feel the same about being the next cringey and problematic fandom.

I just gotta say, I cannot BELIEVE the amount of shit I’m seeing being thrown at Onward on the internet. The movie was good. I enjoyed it a lot. But every two seconds on YouTube I’m seeing “OMG IS PIXAR LOSING THEIR TOUCH JASBFHVEHF THIS MOVIE HAD THE WORST OPENING IN PIXAR HISTORY!1!!11!!” And I’m sure the fact that a global pandemic reaching the point of panic weeks, if not days, before its opening weekend had nothing to do with that?????

The point is, if you didn’t like the film, that’s fine. You’re allowed not to. But don’t say the company is going to shit because they made one film that’s just good. Not bad. Just good. I think Pixar has spoiled us all a bit. We expect everything to be a “Coco” or a “Toy Story” or a “Finding Nemo”, but the company did not sign a contract that they could only put out masterpieces. I think if Pixar can continue to make great films even after Cars 2, Onward really is not gonna be their downfall.
