Barley fell first, you fell harder.

The two of you had been close friends for a few years. He realized his feelings for you around the time he turned eighteen.

He definitely has a music playlist dedicated to you. It was initially made on a whim, but then the discography grew increasingly more affectionate.

You have the same tattoo on your left arm that he does on his right.

Play wrestling is definitely a thing for you guys.

One of his favorite things to do is going for snack runs with you in his van in the evening. Sometimes he’ll take the long way home just to have a few more minutes with you.

He honestly felt honored the first time you fell asleep while he was driving.

Believe you me, Barley is way too good at making you smile and laugh, even when you don’t want to.

Even if you’re super bummed or stressed out, his Medieval Voice works like a charm on you.

Barley feel like a million bucks whenever he gets you to laugh.

But he does know when to get serious.

Like this one time when you were just stuck in a major funk, and despite the small laugh Barley got out of you, it didn’t get rid of the hurt. So he stayed and waited it out with you so at least you weren’t alone.

Officer Bronco is honestly kind of scared of you at this point.

The way you’ve always had his back and treated him with the respect and dignity that most people deny him makes Barley feel like if he really did his best, he could be a good boyfriend to you.

The fandom is severely lacking in new content and sometimes you gotta take fate in your own hands, I literally don't write (so be nice), these are just some quick cute HC.

HC:

- enjoyer of fast food, his favorite is probably burgers and fries or something classic like that

- if he doesn't end up going to college for history, he'd probably do conservation or culinary. I think the pressure of restaurant culture might be too much for him though.

- debates game lore online and probably moderates a few forums, he's not toxic or weird though, he more just info dumps like a bot and blocks misinformation

- when he's studying or doing homework, he puts on cave/tavern/mythical music ambient background videos so he can pay attention.

- he does not have a dirty room (his mom would never allow it), he does have a messy room however, his hobbies are scattered all over flat surfaces, he has a stack of water cups on his side table, his clothes are in a heap near his closet, and much more

- he gives strawberry cheesecake vibes

- collects business cards that he thinks have a cool design, even if they have nothing to do with him

- ironically has a few of those Tshirts with wolves and the moon, mostly wears them at home or to bed, because he does have some pride in his appearance

-he's a big boy; although there's no canon height for him, someone did the math based on Ian's height, and he comes out to be around 6'3". All that to say; I don't think he'd have a big preference on height or weight of his partner, personality and chemistry are a huge factor for him though, sometimes people just don't click

Dating HC:

-Being alt he definitely had a phase when he wore eyeliner, he'd constantly get into bed without taking it off and he'd wake up with it smudged under his eyes. When y'all start dating you always have to remind him to take it off before bed, but he's lazy so sometimes you have to bring him to the bathroom and gently wipe it off yourself (he likes the attention a lot) -bonus points if you sit on the counter with him slotting between your legs, youre gently wiping off makeup and he's resting his hands on your thighs

- he loves to spoon, he prefers big spoon so he can wrap his arms around you and feel your plush body, but he'll settle for little spoon if you insist enough or you initiate the cuddles

- if you're sitting on the couch or on the bed he loves to lay his head on your lap and take a nap

-i can definitely see him being a thigh man

-he loves to eat and he loves to cook, he tries out new recipes all the time and absolutely adores when you try his food

- making food for you brings him a big sense of accomplishment and he loves to take care of you

- I feel like his love language is quality time, he likes to try new things with you, go out to eat, drive around, shop

-parallel play is big too, even if you guys don't have the same hobbies he likes to sit with you and do things. Maybe he's painting a figurine and you're crocheting, or he's organizing cards and you're doing pottery.

- you guys have a playlist that's mixed with both of your guys favorite songs, sometimes the genre jump is a little jarring but you both find it funny. Usually you guys just agree on a playlist or album when listening to music though.

- big fan of dry humping and make out sessions, loves when you card your fingers through his hair and hold onto the back of his neck

- definitely fucks you in the van. He's nice though, he got a bunch of pillows and blankets so y'all can be comfortable
