Monosodium glutamate is a non-essential amino acid that is used in foods as a flavor enhancer and a meat and fish tenderizer.
MSG overstimulates the brain cells associated with tasting glutamates until those cells die. This causes a momentary "addiction" to MSG, because it creates a tongue-tingling craving for another bite, stimulating more cells as the old ones die.

Watch out for this dangerous supplicant! In the long-term this can cause serious damage--Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's, memory loss, and obesity. In pregnant women, it is speculated that MSG goes straight to the baby, which can result in autism, nerve damage, and hormonal imbalance.
Avoid these sugary foods. High-fructose corn syrup is a binder and a sweetener that corporations hide in processed food that masquerades as "healthy".

High fructose corn syrup is found in sodas, cereals, yogurts, breads, and even soups. Most processed food, prepackaged food, or sugary foods are loaded with this glucose water.
Not only is this too much sugar for a healthy diet, it contributes to cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, obesity, metabolic problems, and fatty liver disease. Not to mention, the corn in the syrup is most likely genetically modified.
