I See You. For those of you who perhaps do not look too fondly on this day or perhaps this made up Mother's Day is depressing for you...I see You and I acknowledge your pain. I see You...the ones who grew up without a mother or perhaps you were way too abused/neglected/abandoned by the one who you trusted to raise you...I see You. To those of you who lost your mothers way too young in your life and perhaps you are avoiding Facebook today so you don't have to see all the Mother's Day posts...I feel You. To those of you who choose to not enter into motherhood or maybe you didn't have a choice and you are unable to have children...or maybe you lost the only child born to you...I hold You and I definitely see You. You are not lacking. You are Perfect and filled with Love. Happy Day of being Human! One of the most delicious meals of the week...🍴😛 Sautéed #tofu in sesame oil with finely chopped garlic, ginger and onion...cook tofu until crispy on the outside and tender inside. Then... I used the coconut meat from the fresh cocos I cut open yesterday and made creamy coconut milk for the Thai peanut sauce. (Peanut butter I made from raw peanuts in the Vitamix). Added a Side of rice and we had divine deliciousness! 👏🏾✨💜💃🏾#sofreakinggood

"It's all Made Up" Remember - It's all made up. Wise words I once heard from a former #lifecoach - coming at a time in my life when I was having difficulties deciding what to do... I just knew I needed to make a move out of an unfulfilling life. "It's all made up!" He yells excitedly. Just as jobs didn't always exist, "religions" didn't always exist, neither did "borders," "marriage," or "politics" "mortgages" or "401K" It's all made up. So don't stress. Don't let the made up outside world run your life...don't let the outside world of games dictate your worth or let it decide who you are as a human being. It's all made up. Smile! Laugh! ...and watch out for your own made up rules you're unknowingly clinging to in your life...the ones that are making you miserable. It's no secret that the movie Jurassic Park has used the island of #Kauai several times for filming (I even tried out as an extra and didn't make the final cut - lol) This is one place where I like to pretend cute little dinosaurs are right around the corner. It's on a beautiful hike...on the way to "Secret Falls." This larger than life plant I'm standing next to is called "Ape" (pronounced ah-pay). Also sometimes called "elephant's ear." The huge leaves of this plant can grow up to 2-4 feet long by 2 feet wide. 😮🌿 These plants were brought here by the Polynesians over 1500 years ago. It is said that the leaves of the Ape were wrapped around anyone who was feverish...they believed the bitter sap of the leaves would frighten away negative spirits! ✨👿 #wanderlust #luckywelivehawaii

May I be Happy May I be Healthy May I be at Peace There are some days my mind chatter is much louder than others (like today!) and even meditation does not help. Those are the days I bring in different mantras into my practice. Mantras are a good tool to have to assist in taming the mind. Our ego has us believing that we must pay attention and react to everything our minds tell us. This is not true. We must actively and consistently work to manage the useless/repetitive/insignificant mind chatter constantly flowing through our heads. When my mind chatter is at its loudest and I can feel it impacting me on an energetic level - I begin to recite the day's mantra. I may keep reciting the mantra the entire time I am in the kitchen, cooking, for example. Or if I find that I'm off in another world - past or future - as I usually am while doing the dishes, the mantra always brings me back to the present, bringing me home. Embrace Uncertainty! It's where the magic happens. ✨💫🌟 Anything I've done in my life worth doing...anything I've done in my life that has caused a positive shift in the direction of my life...was preceded by a distinct period of uncertainty and of being being...SCARED SHITLESS. 😟 I didn't know what the hell I was doing. Half the time I thought I was crazy. I met my twin/soul flame on okcupid.com and our first date was at Molotov's in the Upper Haight in San Francisco. I almost bailed on the Internet date... And I was extremely nervous. I moved through the fear... And Now I am deeply in love and living a peaceful life in paradise with my husband/twin flame, continuing to work on the dreams that speak to me and my soul. 💜😍 When I was 20, I left the comfort of my mother's nest in the Midwest in order to travel abroad. I decided to live in France... And leaving for that flight I was excited but even more terrified. I had never been on a plane for more than a couple of hours, I had never been to a country where my language was a disadvantage. My future was filled with uncertainty and I was scared shitless... But I did it anyway. 👊🏾 It was one of the best times of my life. 💃🏾😌 The unexpected surprise... The unexpected gift that rises out of the agony of uncertainty/groundlessness and moving through the fear of the unknown...is a more exciting and fulfilling life! 💃🏾✨💫 So go ahead - embrace uncertainty head on! You may get a little bruised in the process as your ego tries to keep you down and comfortable, but the secret is out. Some friends were visiting us and they had an active and happy two year old with them. I cut off a piece of #cubanoregano like this one and gave it to the toddler....he sniffed it....and immediately started giggling and twirling... and he couldn't stop. 😂😄It was kind of like watching a cat on catnip. 😜 Cuban Oregano = laughing drug for toddlers. 😳 LOL Oh - it's also an awesome ground cover, 🌿👍🏾 you can cook with it, and when you walk over it, the amazing scent of this perennial drifts up to your nose from the ground. 😌 It's a magical experience walking through a garden with Cuban Oregano as ground cover...elevates your mood...elevates a feeling of wellnesss...clears your mind....it's great aromatherapy! ✌🏾️💜🙏🏾😌 #betterthancatnip
