important note about kratom.

This isn’t directed at anyone following me ( unless maybe you take the stuff ), just something I want to put in a specific tag before I go to work. Kratom is not a drug for getting high. I mean, yes, people get that affect from it I suppose. There are strains that can give you a high feeling, but my sister ( who has been using it for a long time for chronic pain ), but people who keep boasting about getting high on Kratom are really gonna fuck it up for the rest of us. They’ve passed this thing now that’s making a lot of new drugs illegal, and kratom is on that list! It’s a natural and safe thing that helps people, so they’re trying to make it illegal.

Go figure. It’s not an official law yet ( so far as i know ), so it might not be too late to talk to your representative about it ( this is a US thing pretty sure, so it doesn’t affect anyone else i don’t think ). I’m not saying you all have to stop using it recreationally, but just try to be aware of how the media and government might see/use it. Tumblr-users already have a pretty bad reputation in a lot of circles. My sister uses it for chronic pain that has been known to keep her bed all day with pain, but this stuff helps her keep a normal life going again, and now the stupid government is trying to take it away. Reading this may also be helpful for those who don’t fully understand what it is. I don’t usually post stuff like this, so unrelated to my blog, but this is kind of important to my sister and I. A large part of the reason it has such a bad name is because it’s so highly associated with opiates. People use kratom when they’re trying to come off a drug addiction. Because it has pain and mood lifting effects, it helps.

It’ll probably still happen, and this probably won’t help. But I had to at least give it a shot. All else I can say is, if you actually need kratom, then you may want to stock up just in case.
