The Atlantis is a typical representative of the small traditionally built fishing boats which in the 50's, 60's and 70's worked off the south coast of Brittany and the Vendee. Their bright colours cheered the small harbours along the French Atlantic coast.

My great uncle Frank Green built many model ships during his life, sailing ships such as the Cutty Sark, Bluenose, to modern warships like the Preston and Bismarck. I was lucky enough to receive one after he passed years ago.
