The first flight of a pig took place at Leysdown, Kent, England.
Lord Brabazon of Tara took the pig for a flight of about 3.7 miles from Shellbeach airfield on the Isle of Sheppey.

DId the pig write the sign? Cause in that case he's even more awesome.

Probably the best sci-fi book trilogy ever written
Of all the mad scientists/dictators from animated shows my favorite has to be Trevor Goodchild. I kind of see him as a guy who truly wanted to help people in the beginning (and to be honest he kept doing that 'till the end) but got corrupted on the way and now he's a far from perfect leader. And of course I just love it how he constantly changes his policies towards Æon - getting his men confused if they should shoot her or not. His obsession with her has gone way too far - I mean just how much time and energy does he waste on this one woman - doesn't he have some important stuff to do e.g. to run a country? Of course we can say the same about Æon too - just watch the episode with the Demiurge.
They probably aired the G. I. Joe cartoons in the early 90s to make us want to join NATO (okay this picture is not the best example as it may seem like a recruiting poster for their enemies) :) On a sidenote: when I was a kid I thought that the Cobras were connected to the Cobra Kai dojo from the Karate kid movies.
I seriously just heard the ending title music going off in the other room and I could identify it immediately. It sent me into a fit of nostalgia. This was my FAVORITE SHOW when I was 6. (followed by Speed Racer, The Herculoids and G-Force because apparently I was a little boy)
The 80s liked the barbarian theme pretty much. Next to Thundarr there was Galtar, He-Man and She-Ra (and let's not forget the live action Conan and Red Sonja movies).

I love this part of the Hungaroring where you can actually see some houses of the village Mogyoród.
