Hi all! Happy almost weekend and spring break! I have created a team for the Nu Chi Chi chapter of CSI to sponsor in the upcoming NEDA walk on Sunday, April 5th (same weekend as the the induction ceremony on 4/3). Nu Chi Chi, NCCU's chapter of the counseling honor society @chisigmaiota, co-hosted an Advocacy Summit at the North Carolina Counseling Association @nc_counselors conference in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Kelly King, along with faculty and students from UNC-C, facilitated goal setting exercises with other state chapters. WEBINAR: Sex Addiction and Mutual Support: Considerations for Clinical Training and Practice March 3, 2020 at 1:00pm ET In this webinar Kyla M. Kurian, PhD, LCMHC and Latasha Y. Hicks-Becton, Ph.D., LCMHC, LCAS will give a brief overview of process addictions, specifically, sex addiction, and they will discuss the potential impact of attending mutual support groups as a part of a client’s recovery. They will also have 2 members of the Sex Addict Anonymous fellowship talk about their experience in the program and answer questions. If you meet the qualifications (GPA of 3.5 or above and a minimum of 9 credit hours completed in the program) you are eligible to apply! CSI Advocacy Summit invitation The Mu Tau Beta Chapter and Nu Chi Chi Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota are proud to be collaborating with the North Carolina Counseling Association to host the 5th Annual North Carolina Chapters of Chi Sigma Iota Advocacy Summit. The Advocacy Summit is an opportunity for CSI chapters from across the state to network and discuss their chapter programs, as well as develop a larger advocacy goal for all of our CSI chapters.
