NINETEEN
It was bright and early when Taeyong opened his eyes. The sun peeked into the room and barely blinded him. He stretched his body out while looking around the room and a little memory of last night popped into his head. The hot and steamy love confessions caused him to giggle to himself.
This is insane.
He peeked over his own shoulder to see Jaehyun facing towards him, hair pushed back and lips slightly parted. He wanted to turn around and stare at the other but he was making himself embarrassed. Forgetting that underneath they
are still naked and Jaehyun as a massive-
“Stop wiggling around so much.” Jaehyun said with a raspy voice bringing Taeyong into a bear hug. Making sure to press his lower half very close to Taeyong.
“I wasn’t even moving.” Taeyong's voice was small as he felt Jaehyun twitch near his ass. Jaehyun hummed while he turned Taeyong to face him and got in between his legs. Taeyong’s breath was hitched when Jae caressed near his sensitive parts. Slowly kissing and rubbing all around his cock but didn’t touch it directly.
“Jae~” Taeyong whined while wiggling from the touch. He’s only brushing lightly against him, not grabbing or putting anything in anything.
“What?~” Jaehyun teased his lover, making him whine again, which caused him to giggle. “Okay~ Okay.”
He stuck two fingers slowly into Taeyong’s mouth. Gliding them against his tongue and going deeper down his throat. Taeyong’s face was blushed red and cock throbbing as Jaehyun slowly grinded against it.
“I almost came just by looking at you.” Jaehyun huffed out while entering his fingers inside of the other. “Geez~ you’re still so tight.”
“Your body still remembers my touch.” He wiggled his fingers around remembering Taeyong’s spot which caused him to arch his back.
“Jaehyun- please…”
“What, baby?”
“I want you inside me already.”
Jaehyun didn’t say anything, just grinned and slid his cock into Tae. Letting out a groan as he deeply thrusted into his lover. They were both breathing out heavily and grasping, mostly Taeyong for air.
“Jaehyun.” Taeyong uncovered his face to look at the other, eyes dazed out with only lust as if they were going at it for hours. “Faster.”
“God, you’re amazing.” Jaehyun grunted and quickened his pace, making sure to push against him harder to get deeper.
Taeyong started to see white, his body feeling hot as Jaehyun gripped onto his waist and that’s what did it. His body shook from the organism but that didn’t stop Jaehyun. He flipped Taeyong over on his stomach, thrusting in even deeper which caused a welp from Taeyong. He pounded into him, holding Taeyong’s arms to thrust inside while moans echoed throughout the room.
“I love you so much.” Jaehyun almost let out a whine as he bent down next to Taeyong’s ear. Grunting and moaning in it.
“I hated when you were gone.” He flipped them over to the side, having his chest pressed against Taeyong’s back. He reached over and started to jerk Taeyong’s cock.
Taeyong pulled him into a kiss, sloppy and wet. He thrusted his hips back into Jaehyun to match the speed. Which caused him to curse and look a mess. In one last thrust they clinged onto each other, Jaehyun pushed in deeper, spilling his seed.
They collapsed from the feeling but didn’t let go of each other. A comfortable silence entered the room. Their breaths slowed as they just laid there. Nothing but a smile was on Jaehyun’s face.
I want this forever.
“Do you want to move in with me? Like actually?”
Taeyong looked over at him trying to hide his smile.
“I mean now that we are a couple." Jaehyun spoke quietly, eyeing Taeyong's reaction to the statement. When the other didn’t say anything fast enough Jaehyun grew nervous.
“We don’t have to be married anymore but we can be together still.” He started to stutter, “Ah- only I-if you want to.”
Taeyong didn’t say anything, his heartbeat was in his ears too much and couldn’t hear anything that his head was saying. He listened to his heart for once.
“Jae.” Before he let Jaehyun get into his own head, he positioned his head to face him. “You came inside me and I told you that I love you.”
“I'm going to spend the rest of my life with you.”
Jaehyun’s face grew red as he pulled the other into a hug. He buried his face into Taeyong's neck and whined.
“Why did you have to say that I came inside you~”
“Cause you did and I hope that it happens again tonight.”

EIGHTEEN
Taeyong can’t believe it’s finally the day. Two things are happening today; he is finally presenting his final project and is going to see Jaehyun. He doesn’t know what to be more nervous about. Granted he knows that his dance was approved by some classmates, some were even jealous of it. It’s still nerve wracking knowing that he could mess up at any part or move. Even with the idea of Jaehyun coming and he’s going to see him, jeez I’m making myself feel worse.
He looked around the hall that was easily being filled up by audience members and performers. The performers are going in last name order so he’s thankful for not being last or first. Somewhere in the middle is fine with him. He doesn’t know why he’s staying out in the hall and not backstage. It’s not like he’s waiting for anyone before the performances start. Mark and Doyoung are coming but are running late. Jaehyun got caught up with work but he promised to make it before Taeyong went on.
Does it make Taeyong feel something……almost sad? He’s used to it, since he was young nobody was really able to meet him in the hall before his performances.
It doesn’t really matter.
“Everyone please get to your seats! We are starting!”
Last year he did a more upbeat song and his instructor was sort of disappointed by it. She loves his more contemporary style so he took her comment and made it his final performance. He still remembers the day he told her, the pure joy of her face.
Taeyong waited for his turn while other performers took their turns. Taeyong would be lying if he said that he wasn’t peeking from backstage to see if Jaehyun was in the crowd. Not that he could see since the audience has no lighting placed on them.
He waited for his turn, pacing in the back because he’s waiting for something……someone. Maybe he’s over thinking it but he thinks that he’s not doing it enough.
Jaehyun: I’m here.
Jaehyun: You look amazing……by the way.
A smile was placed across his face. A feeling was placed in his stomach.
I can’t wait to see you……
“Next is Lee Taeyong to the stage!”
I can do this……just feel the music.
He stood in his position waiting for his song to play. Cheering in the distance and compliments from peers. It started so he moved, smooth with his movements, light on his feet. He didn’t miss a step. He didn’t miss a beat, every movement was detailed.
He wasn’t just dancing he was acting. Showing emotion, making sure to get the point across that the song is emotional.
It was finished.
They cheered.
Taeyong finally breathed. He was finally able to breathe. He went backstage and was greeted by his dance teacher, the one that was excited for his performance.
“You were amazing! I’m so proud of you!” She pulled him into a hug, doing little hops as she held him.
“A scout was here and I was talking to him. He wanted your contact info so I gave it to him.”
“Oh my god, really?” She nodded while smiling. They chatted a little more but then she left to go back to the performances. Taeyong stayed backstage until it was over, peaking through to see a few people he knew that also performed. He mainly just sat on the floor……thinking about Jaehyun.
He says that he’s here but what if he got busy last night. What if he didn’t stay to see me? What if I can’t see him anymore?
The show was over and all the performers got up on the stage to bow. While doing it Taeyong looked into the crowd and tried to look but still it was dark. Everyone went out into the hall and audience members met with the people that they came for.
Taeyong was alone again.
He hates that he’s used to it.
“Hi, Taeyong.”
Taeyong looked in front of him. Eyes big and body shaking.
“Look at my baby boy.” His mother smiled, walking over to him with her crane and free arm out for a hug. Taeyong walked over to her with a little bit more speed. Holding her tightly instantly.
“How- who brought you here?”
“He did.” His mother pointed over to her right and Taeyong’s heart skipped a beat. Jaehyun stood there with flowers in his hand and a small smile on his face. Taeyong couldn’t believe it. Did he get more handsome?
“Hi.” Taeyong sounded breathless.
“Hey…” Jaehyun kept eye contact. “Um- these are for you.” He handed Taeyong the bouquet of flowers and Taeyong used them to cover his face.
“I picked them out!” Mark came out from behind Jaehyun and Doyoung followed along, “No you didn’t.”
Taeyong was speechless, happiest filled up his body. So much so that his eyes began to tear up.
“Oh no, don’t cry.” Doyoung tried to comfort him but Jaehyun placed his hands on Taeyong’s shoulder, squeezing it.
“I’m not.”
They all reassured him and continued to compliment him about his performance, saying what part was their favorite. The event was wrapping up, everyone saying goodbye as they went separate ways or together to continue enjoying the night. Mark and Doyoung left together, Taeyong’s mother left in the company car and Jaehyun was left. Standing off to the side waiting for Taeyong to say goodbye to his mom and others that walked up to him.
“I was gonna wish you good luck out there but you didn’t need it.” Jaehyun spoke once Taeyong came back over to him, “You were great.”
“Thanks.” Taeyong smiled, making Jaehyun smile too. Now they just stood there in silence. Jaehyun kept staring and Taeyong looked around acknowledging the compliment.
They both went to say something and laughed when they cut each other off.
“Go first.”
“I just wanted to thank you for being her and for coming.”
“Thanks for inviting me.” Jaehyun's eyes shined, “I’m glad you did.” Taeyong just kept laughing, like a speechless idiot. He couldn’t stop. Jaehyun looked amazing from every angle. Just seeing him like this, being in front of him wasn’t real to Taeyong. He remembered the feeling of guilt after that day when they had that argument.
Will I ever get to see this again?
"Do you wanna go out….? For dinner...with me next weekend?"
"I would love to."
~~
Jae:::: I’ll pick you up at 7
It’s finally time……Taeyong couldn’t hold his excitement as he frantically ran around trying to finish getting ready.
“You look nice.” Doyoung smiled and Taeyong smiled back but Mark interfered, “Hot, that’s the word he wanted to use.”
Doyoung rolled his eyes. Mark grinned while walking over to Taeyong, staring at him from the mirror.
“What?” Taeyong looked over at him as he still had his big grin.
"Don't come back."
"You don't even live here."
"Still! Don't come back tonight~"
“I’m coming back.” Taeyong said then looked back at the mirror with a murmur, “Hopefully with Jaehyun.” The other two cooed and Taeyong couldn’t stop the smile from coming out.
“Go have fun, stupid.” Doyoung gently pushed him towards the door and that was what Taeyong needed.
“See you guys later!”
Jaehyun was able to get reservations for a really popular restaurant thanks to his mother knowing the owner. He was even able to get a private corner with a view of the city.
“It’s beautiful.” Taeyong cooed as he looked outside, seeing the city lights down below. “It’s like the view at your house.”
They settled into their seats. Jaehyun ordered for them and got the most expensive bottle of wine they had.
“What’s the big plan after graduation?” Jaehyun sipped the freshly poured wine.
“Maybe move away? A couple of talent agencies have offered me some upcoming shows but I don’t know yet.”
“And my dad hasn’t bothered me.” Taeyong added with a sigh of relief thinking about how he’s done with his father for good.
“I’m glad you got what you wanted.”
I didn’t in the end.
“I guess……how about you? What has Jung Jaehyun been up to?”
“I’m actually seeing someone at the moment.”
"As in dating or hallucinations?" Taeyong joked with a raised eyebrow.
“I missed you making fun of me.” Jaehyun looked up from his wine with a little smile and stared at it for a bit. Silence grew between them, both holding their breaths and Taeyong had his face wandering.
I missed you too.
“No but yeah. I was dating people for a bit.” Jaehyun put it bluntly and so did Taeyong.
“You aren’t wearing your ring.”
Jaehyun looked down at his ring finger and bit the inside of his cheek, “You heard about that.”
Taeyong nodded with a smile but on the inside he’s holding back his feelings . His true feelings, what he actually wants to say. How he actually wants to express himself right now.
“Yeah but-”
Taeyong raised his glass and put it in front of Jaehyun, making them cheer the glasses together.
“You don’t have to explain……I’m happy for you.”
You are?
~~
The night ended with Jaehyun bringing the other home even though he wanted to walk. Taeyong almost got away with it but the stumble walking out the restaurant made Jaehyun put him in the car.
“You didn’t have to walk me to the door.” A little stumble again had Taeyong cling to Jaehyun.
“I know but I wanted to.”
Taeyong shook his head with a smile.
“Goodnight.” Jaehyun said and began to walk back to his car but was stopped with Taeyong tugging at his sleeve.
“Um……do you want to come in? For a drink, I just got a bottle of wine that I wanted to try.” Taeyong’s face was blushed red and stance was unsure.
“I don’t know….” Jaehyun stared at him, trying to see if Taeyong was sure about all this, “You are convincing though.”
Jaehyun was led inside and motioned to sit down. Taeyong grabbed the bottle that was sitting on the counter as if he told Mark to leave it there.
“It’s a nice apartment but my house is better.” Jaehyun teased with a grin.
“Not everyone wants a mansion, Jaehyun.”
“Why not? Let’s get a mansion!”
“It wouldn’t be us two in that mansion.” Taeyong didn’t mean to sound bitter or to show emotion, it was a stab at Jaehyun but more at himself. They knew it and just ignored the sudden silence to start up a conversation.
“Did you decide on the company you are going to work with?”
“They all sound nice but the one my mom went to never gave me an offer. I wanted to go for that one but now I don’t know. I only did my research on that one.” Taeyong said while he relaxed more on the couch.
“But I want to know about the big news.” He cut off Jaehyun before he could say anything, “You’re an engaged man having a drink with your ex husband.”
Jaehyun forced out a laugh while he finished his drink and poured another.
“Does she know?”
“I guess~” Jaehyun sipped his wine and sighed, cutting it off short. Taeyong saw what he was doing.
“Tell me about her, come one stop being so mean.”
“My mom set us up. She’s her friend’s daughter who wants to get married fast.”
“I better be invited to the wedding.” Jaehyun didn’t say anything, just sipped his wine again, avoiding Taeyong’s eyes. He wanted the conversation to end already.
“Do you love her?” Taeyong asked without missing a beat.
“You sound like my mother.” Jaehyun tsked and laid back on the couch, smirking with annoyance. He just wanted to……finish my drink? This has to be like the third one. He felt Taeyong’s stare in the side of his face. Maybe I need another drink. He reached for the bottle and Taeyong cleared his throat.
“Do you?”
“I don’t know.”
“Why?”
“Taeyong.” Jaehyun’s voice was stirred and deep, “Why are you prying so much?”
“I want to know.”
“Why?”
“I need to know.”
“She isn’t you.” Jaehyun’s voice was deep and a little bit of pain was behind it.
“I’m sorry.” Taeyong moved away once he went silent and looked over at the bottle of wine. He grabbed it and walked into the kitchen.
I think I need to drink this whole damn bottle…..and so more.
While Taeyong was in the kitchen Jaehyun stayed on the couch, thinking to himself. He looked down and peeked over at Taeyong, seeing his back side only. He looked him up and down remembering the times where he would catch himself staring like this.
Without realizing he was behind Taeyong, pressing his body into his and wrapped his arm around him.
“I’ve liked you ever since we were kids.” Jaehyun confessed while hiding his face in Taeyong’s neck.
“Then why haven’t you said anything?” Taeyong turned around quickly, feeling his heart skip, “Why say something when you’re going to get married?”
“I told her it wasn’t going to work the day I met her.”
Taeyong couldn’t believe his ears. His body reacted to the news first, grabbing the other’s neck and kissing him deeply. Both of them signed into it. Taeyong broke away from it, Jaehyun whining in protest with his eyes glossy and face flushed red.
“Why didn’t you say that before?”
“I was trying to make you jealous.” Jaehyun looked down at him while he unbuttoned his shirt, eyes dark and voice low. “Did it work?”
Taeyong’s knees went weak. “In every way….it absolutely did.”
Their lips crashed into each other this time. Kissing like it would be the last time that they would ever but Jaehyun will make sure that doesn’t happen ever again.
Desperate to feel the other.
Desperate to touch each other more.
Before it got too intense in the kitchen, Taeyong led them to his room as he undressed himself in the process. Jaehyun was doing the same, unzipping his pants but not having his other hand leave Taeyong’s body. Grabbing his ass and moving his hand closer to the other’s cock. Taeyong gasped then kissed him harder, driving Jaehyun crazy; throwing him on the bed to climb on top of him. He rubbed against Taeyong’s cock with a deep grind and a deep moan. Veins popping out of his neck, Taeyong also moved his hips into the grind.
Before Taeyong knew what his body was doing he was flipping them over. He stripped Jaehyun of his pants and underwear to reveal his massive hard cock, it twitched in front of his face.
Jaehyun looked down with half lidded eyes and grinned, he grabbed his cock and rubbed it against Taeyong’s mouth. The other didn’t hesitate and took him in his mouth.
“Taeyong~” Jaehyun swallowed a moan and bit down on his lip. He grabbed Taeyong by the hair then slowly moved his hips, having his cock moved in and out of Taeyong’s throat. They both moved faster after only a few seconds causing Jaehyun’s moan to get louder and deeper.
Taeyong’s cock throbbed.
“Baby, wait…” Jaehyun stopped him and flipped them over again.
He laid Taeyong on the bed and moved down south, taking off Taeyong's pants and underwear. He left kisses along his thighs and stomach, making Taeyong squirm from the sensation. Kissing down more and stopping right above his cock.
Taeyong’s breath hitched as he felt wet warmth on his cock, looking down with a shaky breath. Making eye contact with Jaehyun as he sucked his cock, keeping the eye contact which made Taeyong turn red. Jaehyun pushed down deeper, having Taeyong’s cock hit the back of his throat.
“Jaehyun, wait. It’s-“ Taeyong pulled Jaehyun’s hair and arched his back. Jaehyun let go to make his fingers wet and proceed to enter Taeyong. Which made a whine escape his mouth but a gasping moan happened once Jaehyun started to eat him out, making sure to also stroke his cock for extra sensation. One more big moan and Taeyong came on his own stomach. Breathing heavily he pulled Jaehyun down for a kiss. Jaehyun’s cock twitched near Taeyong’s entrance, rubbing against it.
I just want to ram it in you.
“Can I?”
Taeyong didn’t respond instead he pushed his hips down and made Jaehyun slip in causing them both to moan.
“You fucking- shit……oh my god.” Jaehyun’s hips moved naturally. Thrusting in slow and pulling out but leaving his tip in.
“Don’t tighten up, baby.” Pleasure was written all over Jaehyun’s face as he grunted while thrusting in again. All Taeyong could do was breathe out moans.
Jaehyun thrusted with a rhythm in his hips. The sound of their combined moans and slapping of skin filled the room.
“You feel fucking amazing.” Jaehyun grabbed hold of the other’s legs, tightening his grip around them to bring himself deeper. It worked all too well. Taeyong’s hips moved on their own due to the pleasure. Their motives got faster within seconds, the tension got higher all the while they never broke eye contact.
Jaehyun couldn’t believe what was happening. What he’s able to see right now. Taeyong breathlessly in pleasure, his own cock thrusting in and out of………him.
The love of his life.
"I love you." Taeyong breathlessly said and trapped Jaehyun in between his legs, kissing him deeply, having Jaehyun throb inside of him. Jaehyun came inside the other instantly after those three words, holding him tightly in his arms.
“That’s not fair.” Jaehyun groaned out, collapsing on top of the other. “You can’t just use the L word when I’m inside you.”
“That’s the best time to say it.” Taeyong giggled, rubbing Jaehyun’s back since he’s still getting over his climax. “I love you, Jaehyun.”
Jaehyun looked up at him with a dorkish smile and kissed him sweetly.

SEVENTEEN
It’s been months, finally it's summertime and Taeyong’s final project is next week. The only thing on his mind should be to finish the choreography for his dance that he has to perform in front of everyone of importance. Instead he’s staring at the ceiling, laying down in the middle of the practice room. This is the fifth time this week he has done it.
He can’t get it right, something is eating away at his brain. He can’t focus once he starts dancing, the music doesn’t fill his head anymore. Jaehyun does…… The first few weeks after the argument he was fine. He went to school, lived his life, and spent more time with Doyoung and Mark. It wasn’t hard, until he heard his father talking to Jaehyun’s dad. They were talking about Jaehyun, how he’s planning on getting married again.
That’s when he lost focus, right at the start of summer. If he didn’t listen to his father that day about coming into the office then he would have been fine. A part of him thinks his dad did it on purpose, to mess with him. He thinks so.
“What’s the drink for today?” Johnny looked over at him with a hand on his hip and a rag over his shoulder.
“Just give me a beer.” The last time he had a beer was with Jaehyun, he’s been coming here more often. He doesn’t want to say his reason because it’s pathetic.
"You just missed Jaehyun."
His heart throbbed. Damnit……again?
"Really……cool."
"Been in here more than you actually." Johnny went on as he popped off the cap and slid Taeyong his beer, "Always missing each other."
Taeyong ignored his comment and the eye contact. More than me? Why?
“Is he the reason I’m seeing you more often?”
“I’m here to see my favorite bartender~”
It’s pathetic, right? For that to be my reason.
“Do you miss him?”
“Don’t be ridiculous.” Taeyong laughed and sipped his beer, avoiding the eye contact Johnny wanted to make.
“Hmmm~” Johnny backed away and tended to another customer. He left Taeyong to himself.
Taeyong has been alone this whole time without Jaehyun next to him. Months……and he’s scared for it to turn into years. If it turns to that then he’s gonna have to beg his dad for his contact info. If he doesn’t change it during that time. Why would he change it, just because he’s getting married?
I hope he’s not getting married.
I just want to see him…
“Thinking about how much you miss Jaehyun?”
“No.” Taeyong forced a laugh that nobody would believe, “In fact I haven’t thought about him for a whole day………yesterday.”
“So you miss him?”
“Shut up.”
“Call him.”
“Why would I do that?” Taeyong spat at the other and Johnny sighed, “He misses you too.”
~~
Taeyong paced around his room. Counting his steps and sighing to himself as he recalled the conversation with his friend.
"He misses you too." Taeyong laughed out loud and hid his face with his hands. Oh please……
Taeyong looked over at his phone and bit his lip.
What would I even say? The last time I saw him I slapped him in the face!
Taeyong's face planted into his pillow and yelled, sighing and relaxing his body. He tilted his head, picking his phone up and put it up to his ear.
He probably won't even answer.
"Hello?" Taeyong’s body jolted up and answered back quickly, "Hi……um, hey."
"Hey." Jaehyun chuckled through the phone, "What's up?"
Taeyong couldn’t hear anything the other was saying. His heartbeat was too freaking loud and his head was rushing from pure shock. Why did he answer so quickly? He still has my number?
“Taeyong?”
If I was him I would have blocked myself.
“Hello?”
I slapped him in the face for the love of god!
“Taeyong!” He finally heard Jaehyun on the other side, “You still there?”
“Yeah I’m still here.” Taeyong chuckled nervously.
Silence from Taeyong’s end again. He was thinking too much. Thinking about how much he missed Jaehyun’s voice, just hearing him breathe from the other end gave him a chill.
“You okay?” Jaehyun asked with a hum. Oh my god, don’t do that.
“Yeah.” Taeyong was breathless, which was increased from Jaehyun speaking again.
“Not to be mean but what do you want, Taeyong?”
“Oh……um- I was wondering….” Taeyong is an idiot.
Spit it out, you moron!
“I was wondering if you’re busy this weekend.” Taeyong bit his lip but Jaehyun’s answer was quick, “No, I’m free. Why?”
“Maybe you can come to the show and watch my performance?” Taeyong finally said but added on quickly, “That’s if you want to.”
“I would love to.”
“Okay cool……see you then, bye.” He quickly hung up, slamming his phone down on the bed in the process. He smiled ear to ear.
“I can’t believe I did it.” He laughed and stuffed his face into the pillow, “I can’t believe I did it!” kicking his feet. Once he was done with his celebration and got up quickly talking to himself.

Sixteen
The last month was spent in confusion on both ends. They acted normal during it but there was a question that hung in the air and repeated itself in their heads.
Can we be something?
Taeyong ignored the question and Jaehyun was too scared to answer it or even ask. So when they were alone during the last month they tried to act normal. Jaehyun tried having his heart not throb in pain.
"Just sign here." Taeyong didn't hesitate taking the pen and signing his name quickly. Jaehyun sighed when it was his turn.
“Cheers to being divorced.” Mr. Lee half smiled and cleared his throat, “It’s not final yet but you two don’t have to live together anymore.”
“Perfect! Guess we are done so I’ll be going.” Taeyong smiled proudly and got up to leave. Jaehyun just stared.
“Wait.” Mr. Lee had that look that his son hates, “I had my people find Yuta, he will be charged and you two don’t have to worry anymore.”
Taeyong would be lying if he said that he didn't care. Just by that awful man's name alone made him shake.
“Can I go now? Have to pack.” He didn't wait for an answer just walked out the door, leaving Jaehyun behind. They didn't drive here together like they would usually do. Taeyong insisted to his dad to let him use the car service for once. He made sure to be at the house before the other. He was already half way done with packing, since he started the night before and doesn't have much, when Jaehyun walked in.
“Can we talk?” Jaehyun huffed out as if he ran here.
“Didn't we already?” Taeyong said coldly, he felt bad acting like this.
"Why are you doing this?"
Why?
It was a question that Taeyong studied for all last night, something that Taeyong was prepared for.
"Because that was our agreement."
"Can we……start over?"
"Okay." Taeyong laughed at the question and became serious again, "We will go back to when the last time we saw each other was graduation."
"Taeyong, please." Taeyong cut off his pleading and groaned, "Why? Why are you trying so hard?"
Jaehyun huffed out a breath and grabbed Taeyong by the wrist, turning him towards him and came up closer, "Because I love you."
"What?"
"I love you, Taeyong."
"Don't say that."
"I love you."
Taeyong slapped him and Jaehyun kept his face down but continued, "I love you so much."
"No you don't."
"Why don't you believe me?" Taeyong breathed out heavily, "Because you were forced to! We were forced to!"
"So you're saying if I kissed you right now then we wouldn't feel a thing? We wouldn't feel the same thing?"
Taeyong didn't hesitate to provide a point and when he kissed the other, he felt the biggest spark. His body wanted to whine when he pulled away.
"Nothing."
~~
It has been a week and a half since Taeyong left. Jaehyun has been counting the days as if he was waiting for his day out of prison. He doesn’t know what to do and he has felt that way ever since Taeyong moved back to his apartment.
He just wants to call him to make sure he’s okay and not suffering like himself. He can’t, too scared of the call ending and the grant no answer. Just the thought of it……I hate it.
He keeps thinking that Taeyong is gonna walk through the door, changing his mind. That he'll tell Jaehyun how much he actually loves him and that he'll never leave again.
That's just his imagination though. His stupid, crazy, fucking dumb imagination.
Longing for Taeyong.
Wanting to touch the other.
Wanting to kiss him and not regret it. Kissing him felt like heaven.
The only thing that he does now is drink, he can’t smoke since it reminds him of being on the balcony with Taeyong. So during the whole week he’s been going to the bar, the first time he saw Taeyong be himself. When he realized that he loves him.
Maybe drinking won’t help me right now.
“You’ve been a walking corpse for almost two weeks, at least do me a favor and go outside.” Johnny passed him another whiskey on ice and leaned against the bar.
"I don't want to." Jaehyun downed it in one go and slid back towards him, "Coming here is enough."
It’s not enough……it’s never enough…… Jaehyun needs to see him again, he needs him again. He sounds desperate at this point……he is at this point.
“I guess you’re still in love.”
“I can’t do anything about it though, he doesn’t want me.”
Johnny pitted him, showing a side smile and sighing as the other drank himself away.
“Maybe come here when he’s here just to see him.” Johnny said and Jaehyun’s face lit up but quickly it went away. “No………I can’t.”
“You should……I’ll call you whenever he’s here.”
“I would feel like a stalker if I did that.” That’s going too low. “I can’t, Johnny.”
He couldn’t, he already told himself that. Taeyong wouldn’t want to see him let alone talk to him. Let’s go back to when the last time we saw each other was at graduation.
It hurts but it’s what is best. It’s best for Taeyong that’s all what Jaehyun wants, for him to be okay. If Taeyong is okay then he is.
“There’s a guy and his friends trying to get your attention from across the room.”
Jaehyun turned around with his drink still in his hands. Johnny was right. They are trying heavily to get his attention. Giggling loudly and smiling big, Jaehyun awkwardly smiled back while turning back around.
“Look if you can’t talk to the love of your life then talk to other people. Or suck it up and call Taeyong.”
“I’ll take my chances.” Jaehyun was cold with his response and Johnny was firm, “Go ahead then.”
So he headed towards the group, combing his hair through his fingers. Something that Taeyong always made fun of him for.
“So I finally got your attention?” The one sitting at the end of the table said tucking his shoulder length hair behind his ear. He has the same ear piercings as Taeyong.
“I like your piercings.” Jaehyun smiled making the other giggle and whisper into his ear, “I like you~”
They talked and the other flirted but Jaehyun kept this unspoken distance. He’s cute? Looks put together and has a nice voice? But he isn’t my Taeyong………
Jaehyun almost choked on his own spit, it got the rest of the table’s attention and he felt his face heat up.
“Excuse me, sorry.” He walked away still coughing almost puking but he held it in.
“That went well.” Johnny teased, seeing the whole thing. Jaehyun was able to finally breathe and when he did it was nothing but a pitiful sight. He sighed and gripped his glass, finishing it and sliding it towards Johnny for more.

The two kisses didn’t change anything about their relationship. Taeyong still believes Jaehyun just let him do it for the little agreement that they’re in. That’s what he thinks and of course he’s not going to ask to save himself the embarrassment. Even though he is dying to know if the kisses mean anything to him.
It was late and he promised Jaehyun that he wouldn’t spend the whole night at the studio but getting this right is eating away at Taeyong. He missed another step and groaned loudly with his hands in his face. Breathing heavily and trying to focus on anything else. Lately he’s been off his game because a little someone is heavy on his mind. When he falls asleep he thinks about the other and when he wakes up he thinks about him too. His mind is obsessed and it doesn’t help that he sees Jaehyun everyday.
“Fuck!” Thinking about him again made Taeyong fall on his ass. He sat on the floor and sighed. I want you to love me now.
“Maybe you should just quit, you were never good anyway.” A sharp chilling pain went down Taeyong’s spine as he heard that voice without a face. He turned to see Yuta Nakamoto standing by the door, blocking the only exit.
“How did you get in here?”
“Friends with the owner.”
The silence was uncomfortable, chilling to say the least and Taeyong had this feeling in his gut.
“What do you want?”
“The truth.” Yuta started to walk closer at a slow speed, “You two can’t really be married, right?”
"We are."
"Come on, Taeyong. You don't have to lie."
"I'm not." Taeyong explained coldly and Yuta’s face softened from the words. “Guess he claimed you before I could.”
“What the fuck are you talking about?” Done hearing nonsense Taeyong grabbed his things and headed towards the door. Before he could grab the doorknob Yuta’s body was in the way that made Taeyong back up with confusion.
“You didn’t actually believe me when I said that I worked for SME right?” He got closer with each step and a chuckle came out of his mouth, “Well I sort of do, in a way but those questions I asked you and Jaehyun were pointless, my company didn’t make me do it.”
Taeyong’s eyes widened and his hands started to shake from rage. It was his fault for literally everything that had to do with the media being on their asses. Pointless questions……for what? His back was shoved up against the wall and hands held together above him. Staring back at him was Yuta looking with a big grin. His hands caressing Taeyong’s face.
“You were always so pretty.” He licked along Taeyong’s neck and kept his hand moving down.
“Let go of me.” Taeyong let out a small whine as he felt his body shake. He was scared, frozen in place from the sudden actions of the other.
“Suddenly not tough anymore?” Yuta mocked the other and undid their jeans, bringing their bodies closer.
“Please.”
“That’s right, keep begging for me, baby.” Yuta grabbed both of their cocks and gently stroked, which made Taeyong squirm. Yuta moaned in his ear and left marks all over his neck, “I wanted to do this to you for so long.”
Taeyong wanted to puke. Feeling these gross, unwanted hands all over him made his eyes start to water. He began to squirm even more when Yuta let his hands free but he was still pinned. He used his free hands to push at the other which only made Yuta anger.
“Stop moving!” Yuta slapped Taeyong across the face and turned him face first into the wall, “I wanted to take my time but now I’m too horny.” Taeyong felt a big tug at his pants when he screamed and had enough strength to turn and start kicking. Which caused struggling and for Taeyong to be pinned down on the floor instead. That was until a click towards the door made their heads turn.
“Sorry you had to find out this way Jaehyun.” Yuta grinned but Jaehyun’s eyes were only on his husband. The way Taeyong looked at him with tears streaming down his face and a bruise forming on his left cheek. It made something click.
Jaehyun didn’t say a word, just walked towards Yuta and punched the shit out of him. Which made Yuta almost fly off of the other. Taeyong got up quickly and covered himself then coward behind Jaehyun.
This time it wasn’t just one punch he continued until he felt his knuckles start to ache but he didn’t stop. So much rage was building up when he kept thinking about what this creep did to Taeyong. What he did to his Taeyong.
“Stop!” Taeyong yelled, holding on to Jaehyun’s arm keeping his grip tight. It made him stop and look down at Yuta, face all bloody and busted up nose.
“Get the fuck out.” Jaehyun murmured quietly and Yuta basically crawled out of the room. Once he was gone Jaehyun turned to the other and examined every inch of his face. Holding his face gently and wiping away tears that continued to fall. Jaehyun couldn’t speak, couldn’t think of anything to say. He was just angry, angry that he didn’t trust his gut in the first place and came over here sooner than maybe that would have never happened.
“Can we go home?”
~~
The ride home was quiet. Taeyong sat in the passenger seat just reflecting on what happened. It took Taeyong to be carried out by Jaehyun to finally get out of the building. It was Jaehyun that kept looking over his shoulder to make sure that awful man wasn't there anymore. They are both exhausted, Taeyong more so. He just wants to lay down in his bed and wait for sleep to take over him. He didn't know what to think since he doesn't want to think about the other thing. But how can't he? He can still feel Yuta's hands all over him and his cheek still stings. The unwanted marks throbbing on his neck but he can't believe that he cried. When he thought that his dignity was going to be taken away it freaked him out. He never was in that type of solution let alone the feeling of not being safe.
If it wasn't for him……would I still be able to be here?
Jaehyun felt the stare from the other and looked over to smile sweetly. It warmed up Taeyong’s heart, and he untensed in his seat. Why was I always mean to you?
Once they got home they went their separate ways but not for long. It was Jaehyun that couldn’t leave the other alone. He looked around the house once he heard the shower go off down the hall. A breeze hit his face when he walked past the living room so he knew where to go. There he was.
“Are you okay?”
“I don’t know.” Taeyong didn't turn to him as he walked over, “If you didn’t come when you did-”
“Don’t think about that.” Jaehyun wrapped his arms around him and buried his head in Taeyong’s neck. “I’m here and I won’t let anyone hurt you again.”
"You promise?" Taeyong felt so safe in his arms, warm and comfortable. It felt amazing. Their heartbeats synced with each other and Jaehyun’s grip got tighter. Jaehyun hummed in response and sighed, emotions bubbling up inside.
I want you to be with me forever.
"I can't believe it's almost been two years."
Right………
Jaehyun’s grip shifted as he pulled himself away.
“What’s wrong?” Taeyong looked up.
“This isn’t real.”
“What?”
“This……us, it isn’t real. Right? You’ve said it so many times already and I’ve finally understood it.” Jaehyun brought his arms down away from Taeyong and sighed,“I’m sorry that I pushed myself on you."
“Are you also sorry for kissing me?”
"We needed it to look r-" Taeyong cut him off quickly, "No the first time that you kissed him, that night when you were on top of me."
"You're lying." Jaehyun tsked and Taeyong grabbed him by the neck for a kiss, "Are they still soft like you imagined?"
Jaehyun didn't say anything. He couldn't say anything.
“For once you’re quiet. You have nothing to say?” Taeyong laughed, “Of course you don’t. This isn’t real.” Before he could pull away Jaehyun kissed him again and again, pushing his tongue inside Taeyong’s mouth. He broke them from the kiss and breathed heavily.
“Now I’ve kissed you more than that.” He kissed Taeyong again making sure his body was pressed up against his.
“What does it matter how many times I kiss you? You said it yourself that you won’t fall for me!”
“Well I fucking did!” Taeyong almost cried, feeling a burn at his throat. He looked up at Jaehyun with blurry eyes.
“Are you happy? I fucking fell for you and I don’t know what to do anymore.”
“Taeyong.” Jaehyun reached for him with no luck.
“No! Don’t…please don’t.” His voice was raspy, “I should have never said yes to this.”
“Do you regret us?" Jaehyun’s hands felt shaky.
“Because this isn’t real, Jaehyun! You never wanted this. Why can’t you understand that?”
You don't know what I want.
“This happened because of our parents.” Taeyong turned away but looked back a little, “I don’t want something that my dad is behind.”
Jaehyun’s heart felt like it was going to explode. He couldn't move, couldn't breathe, couldn't think.
You're wrong.
"We had an agreement……let's stick to it." Taeyong rushed to his room, locking the door and sliding down it.

FOURTEEN
I said that I love him. Out of all the scenarios, why did I realize it after talking to a stalker-ish asshole?
“Care to explain this?” Mr. Lee placed two articles in front of them.
Oh right! I’m being interrogated.
“In my defense….” Taeyong looked around the room even at Jaehyun for a moment but the other was sulking in the chair. Once he looked over a wave of guilt passed through him. He continued to look until someone cleared their throat and when Taeyong turned back, his father looked like all his patience was gone.
“Wait, I'm thinking of an excuse.”
“Lee Taeyong, you are the only one causing trouble throughout this whole thing. Jaehyun has done nothing to give us bad attention.”
Taeyong and Jaehyun stayed silent as he went on about the steps they need to take forward in order to fix everything.
“It’s almost over, just hold on a little longer.”
I don’t want to let go after.
“It’s still not my fault though. Yuta has been annoying since we were kids and this time he has an excuse.”
“Just don’t get into any more trouble, dial it down a bit.” His father sighed, “You guys can go and I better see the both of you here with smiles on your faces for the press tomorrow.”
His father waved them off and Jaehyun was the first out of the door. Taeyong followed right behind him like a puppy. He tried to reach out.
"Jaehyun?" He spoke small and gulped, "Can we talk?"
"About what? I'm busy."
"Oh." Taeyong kept the tone and turned away quickly to hide his face, "Nevermind then."
Jaehyun watched the other walk away with his head down.
Goddamnit.
For once Taeyong hated that Jaehyun wasn't bothering him.
"Taeyong!"
He turned around quickly.
"I'll see you later." Jaehyun smiled sweetly at him. Taeyong felt his shoulder untense and a smile crept on his face, "See you later."
〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
"I'll see you later."
God, it's the only thing that Taeyong has been thinking about since he got home. He's been sitting in his room just replaying Jaehyun’s words over and over again in his head. The way the words just made his heart warm up. Or the way he wants to so badly have Jaehyun home already.
Oh no……I'm insane.
Like a freaking dog, he heard Jaehyun unlock the front door and like a normal person he ran into the living room. He casually sat on the couch, trying to control his breathing from running and didn't look over at Jaehyun coming inside.
"Hey." Jaehyun called as he kicked his shoes off.
"Hi." Taeyong’s smile only grew, "Did you have a good day at work?"
"It was decent." The conversation fell short.
"Um……did you eat? I can make you something."
"It's fine."
"Really it's no problem." Taeyong continued, getting up and heading towards the kitchen.
"Stop." Jaehyun put his hands on Taeyong's shoulders and sat him back down on the couch.
"What?" Taeyong looked up at the other with confusion.
"Stop showing that you're sorry. I know you are." Guilt. It was something Jaehyun has been feeling since that day, "I'm sorry for overreacting and for not trusting you."
"So you're not mad at me anymore?" A little smile appeared on his face that Jaehyun noticed but couldn't question.
"I wasn't mad- I just- I was annoyed."
"Annoyed?"
"Yes."
"Annoyed about what?” Taeyong continued to ask because Jaehyun wasn’t answering. He just looked away and sighed so Taeyong continued on until-
"I don't like the idea of you with someone else!"
Jaehyun was still gripping his shoulders, staring deep and never moving. Taeyong stopped breathing for a second, his heart pounded heavily in his ears and his mouth fell slightly open.
"Oh-um.." Jaehyun couldn’t form a sentence. He just couldn’t believe that he said that out loud. "We should go to bed."
"Yeah." Taeyong finally spoke.
They continued to stare into each other's eyes. Slowly breathing and bodies inching comfortably towards each other. It was Taeyong that noticed Jaehyun’s glaze on his lips. His heartbeat quickened, thinking about their lips touching again. It felt so long ago when they kissed by accident that night. Even if alcohol made the kiss more intense, Taeyong still felt something then, he just didn't believe it. There’s no alcohol this time so why is he looking at me like that? Why am I looking at him like that? Taeyong blinked the thought away and closed the distance, lips pressed against the others. Too scared to move or even deepen the kiss, he just stayed still for a couple seconds and pulled away. His eyes met Jaehyun's, who was shocked, smiling even and face quickly turning red.
Oh god.
“Sorry!” Taeyong got up quickly and ran to his room, leaving Jaehyun in shock still. He turned towards the balcony and bought his hands to his face, “He’s fucking adorable.” Jaehyun chuckled with a sigh.
〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
The next day came really fast. Taeyong blinked and it was already morning. He couldn't lie, he stayed up a little late and had to drag himself out of bed. He couldn't think straight. Having to be in front of people is the last thing he wants to do right now.
"You ready?" Jaehyun popped into the hall fixing his silk button up that he tucked into his jeans.
"You're wearing that? I feel a little underdressed." Taeyong stood there with plain jeans and a graphic hoodie that he definitely slept in.
"You look fine. Let's go."
The ride was quick too quick even. Taeyong clinged to Jaehyun as they walked into the room with cameras pointed at them. Both of their fathers sat next to each other on the stage with a couple more important people next to them. Once the meeting began with Taeyong’s father starting it, questions started to come from the crowd. Camera flashes blinded Taeyong, the room was so loud. Jaehyun stood up to the front with the mic and answered those asking. It started off tame just answering stupid questions honestly, Jaehyun thought. A couple questions went and then the questions were being directed at Taeyong who was still sitting, trying not to let the flashing bother him that much. Jaehyun answered for him, seeing that the other was stressing under the pressure.
“Why isn’t your husband speaking for himself?”
“He’s shy.” Jaehyun smiled, “Not really a people’s person.”
“Shy enough to openly kiss another man in a crowded area?” Jaehyun was taken back and felt a hand on his shoulder. Before he could react he was already being turned and was kissing Taeyong. It didn’t last long. But it was enough.
“I love him. We love each other.” Taeyong spoke into the mic and felt his face burn, “That man that kissed me was my drunk friend and my husband understands that. Any more questions?”
The questions continued and Taeyong was the one to answer them as Jaehyun just stared at the other. With a blink of an eye it was over and the two were walking back to the car. Jaehyun could burn a hole into the back of Taeyong’s head at this point. He pulled Taeyong to stop and turn to him.
“Why did you kiss me?”
“They bought it.”
"Did you have to though?" It was almost a pleading moan from Jaehyun and he couldn’t finish his thought.
"You weren’t complaining last night~
“Shut up.” Jaehyun's face grinned as he walked away with the other.
"Um Jae-" Taeyong reached out to him and Jaehyun quickly turned to face him again. "Yeah?"
"I'm sorry……about everything. Putting you into this mess."
"I wouldn't want to do this with anyone else."
Heart pounding.
"Oh um……okay- do you want to go out to eat right now? My treat."
"Yeah."

???’s POV
I just have to get him alone then it should be really fun. He’s always with that………that nobody. I turned the corner following behind and kept a good distance. Seeing them so close and smiling makes me sick. Those smiles have to be fake because I refuse to believe it. I thought that maybe tonight would have been the night but guess I was wrong with my timing. No worries, I basically know his schedule like the back of my hand. I’ll just wait some more and make sure that everything goes to plan. I’ll have my way and I just can’t wait to have my fun.

THIRTEEN
Since that night Taeyong and Jaehyun don't really bump heads anymore. There is still the occasional Jaehyun getting on Taeyong's nerves. It's different this time. Taeyong feels that it's different this time.
“Life is shit.” Doyoung finished his 8th drink of the night. Taeyong met up with Doyoung and Mark since he was having dinner with Jaehyun. Apparently once Mark told Doyoung that Taeyong was tagging along that's when he really threw back the drinks.
It concerned Mark.
“Here we go.”
“No, I'm serious! What the fuck am I suppose to do next?”
“Maybe you should stop drinking.”
“Make me, you pussy.” Doyoung grinned, causing a deathly stare to be on Taeyong's face.
“Drunk people can’t feel pain right?”
“I’ll go get some water." Mark jumped from his seat.
"Help me, Tae!" Doyoung dramatically fell on the other’s lap, heart beating in his ears.
Why can't you see me?
"You're still in your twenties, nobody has their life together yet."
"That's not what I meant! I'm so lonely!" He cried into Taeyong's shoulder, making him roll his eyes while patting his friend's back. "So? Who cares?"
"I do! I mean you even have somebody and hell even Mark has a couple people that he's talking to." Doyoung was looking up into Taeyong's eyes at this point and still his heartbeat was in his ears, "I'm the only one that is alone!"
"I don't have anyone." Then Taeyong's face turned a bright red, a little happy feeling that slowly went away once he realized who the other was talking about.
"It's fake, remember."
Doyoung saw the way the other’s face fell. It made his heart ache.
I wouldn't make you feel this way. I would love you no matter what. I just wish I was Jaehyun to you.
Doyoung felt his lips on another and when he opened his eyes Taeyong's eyes were open. His eyes were wide open and it finally clicked in Doyoung’s head what he had done.
“I still need to make it look real!” Taeyong pushed the other away frantically and Doyoung looked back with confusion, “But I-”
Taeyong got up without looking back and walked off.
“What happened?” Mark asked, looking back and forth at Taeyong as he walked away and at Doyoung. He just sat there, watching Taeyong leave and his shoulders drooped down.

Taeyong put his phone out and sighed, also ignoring messages from Mark because he doesn’t want to explain what happened. Taeyong doesn’t want Doyoung to explain himself. He just wants to put it behind them and still be friends. From what he could see from Mark’s unopened message this was bound to happen one day. Even if he is in this fake relationship with Jaehyun it really felt like cheating.
A thought came across Taeyong’s mind.
"Have you seen this?" Jaehyun came out of his room and placed his phone down in front of the other. It was an article with the title ‘Caught in the act’ and Taeyong didn’t even have to look at the photo underneath to know what it was.
“Why did you kiss him?”
“He kissed me, a drunken kiss. I'll explain it to my dad, don’t worry.” Taeyong tried to brush it off. For some reason Jaehyun didn't know this feeling in his chest. He looked back at the other with a serious look. Why isn't this a big deal to you?
“From the pictures you two look like lovers.”
“It does not~ we're just friends.”
“What’s really your relationship with Doyoung?”
Jaehyun never liked how close Doyoung was to him. During childhood Jaehyun was always there but around early high school is when Doyoung took Taeyong. Ever since Jaehyun has always felt………jealous around him. He found out this feeling on the day of high school prom where Doyoung asked Taeyong to the dance, as friends of course. Jaehyun knew Doyoung’s real meaning behind it, just the way he looked at Taeyong he could see. That was the way Jaehyun looks at Taeyong and still does.
“He’s my friend. Did you not just not hear me before?”
“Friend? Friends don’t kiss each other.”
“You've kissed me.” Sass left Taeyong's mouth and Jaehyun fixed his face from the flashback. God, you’re lips were so soft.
“That was different. I was drunk- whatever you still kissed him.”
“Why aren’t you listening to me?” Taeyong groaned standing up to leave, “He kissed me and I pulled away.”
It just sounded too innocent.
“Is there something going on between you two?”
“No.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.” Taeyong rolled his eyes and pushed past the other, “And you know if there was something going on it’s not your business, we aren’t actually married.”
“Fuck you!” Jaehyun got in his face and Taeyong responded with getting even closer, “Fuck you too! I can’t wait for this to be over!”
Jaehyun’s eyes went cold with a little bit of pain that Taeyong couldn't see at that moment.
“Yeah me too!”
“Good!”
“Good!” Jaehyun said it back even louder.
“Fine!” Taeyong stormed out of the room and Jaehyun yelled back, “FINE!”
His voice boomed throughout the room and he looked down at the floor.
It hurt.
It hurt so fucking much.
〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
Taeyong didn't think that it was going to turn into something so big. Jaehyun didn't even bother to look at him this morning and that pulled at a string. It was all over social media, which Taeyong didn't notice at first. It wasn't until when he went to his first lecture that suddenly people knew his name. I didn't know my dad's company was this popular.
All day he had to dodge the questions and stares. One thing he didn't understand was that his father only called once.
"You ignored his call." Mark stated, sitting across from Taeyong with his arms crossed. His cousin hasn't stopped talking since he finally agreed to meet up. He didn't want to but Mark is a difficult person. So difficult that he basically stalked Taeyong around his campus until he finally just got into the car. Mark went on and on about the stupid picture and even kept the article saved on his phone.
It didn't stop there…… Since Taeyong is getting noticed Mark is making it clearer for everyone. Whenever someone stares or they hear whispering, even see someone point. Mark stands up and points at his cousin shouting. 'This is Lee Taeyong, the Lee Taeyong!'
Then Taeyong realized something as he stared at his cousin. My father is using you as a freaking weapon again.
"I really hate you." Taeyong said coldly and Mark grinned with a shrug of his shoulders. “Hate me all you want, you can’t ignore me.”
“Yes I can.”
"Like how you’re doing to Doyoung?"
"That's not true, I answered him………briefly." Taeyong said with a bit of guilt, knowing Mark is giving him a look that he doesn’t look at. He looks away towards the window instead. "Well what am I supposed to say to him?"
"You could just listen to his apology."
“He doesn’t need to.” Taeyong continued to look at the window, “I should apologize.”
“You didn’t know Taeyong.”
“But shouldn’t I have? He’s my best friend but I couldn’t see-”
“You didn’t know.” Mark cut him off and continued, “You shouldn’t beat yourself up about that, you know he doesn’t really share his feelings at all.”
He's right. Taeyong couldn’t return the feelings even if he thought about that. It wasn't because of the contact, he actually gave it some thought of what being with Doyoung would be like and he couldn't do it. He didn't want that, obviously he loves Doyoung like how a friend should. Something about the other way just didn't feel right. After all, Doyoung isn't the man that he wants and Taeyong knows who the one is. He just hasn't realized that yet.
“I just want people to forget about that stupid picture.”
“Right now it’s all over the place even my friends are talking about it.” Mark scrolled through his phone and showed Taeyong the picture again.
“How did Jaehyun react?”
“He was pissed.” Taeyong confessed and shrugged his shoulders from the thought, “I don’t know why. I literally told him that he’s just a friend and I pulled away.”
“You really don’t know why?” Mark scolded, “The guy that has been following you around since birth. You really don’t know why he’s pissed that another guy, that isn’t him, kissed you.” Mark laid it out in front of him but he still sat there not understanding a single thing.
“Lee Taeyong, in the flesh.”
A chill went straight down his spine, Mark’s face went white with his eyes big. Taeyong knew exactly who it was.
“I knew that you would be a pain in my ass, since one day.” Taeyong turned around and stared directly into Yuta's eyes, "What the hell do you want?"
"Hey hey, play nice there." He smiled, “We wouldn’t want another picture to come out.”
“That was you?” Mark spoke out quietly and Yuta shifted his eyes to him quickly. “Yep, it’s my job after all.”
“To be Taeyong’s stalker?”
“I just happened to see something interesting.” Yuta kept smiling and leaned down to Taeyong’s ear, “I can expose you two in a heartbeat.”
Taeyong laughed.
"Expose us? I would do anything for that idiot so try me.”
“Oh really?”
“Yeah because I love him.” His heartbeat got sent to his ears. Yuta was taken aback by the response and walked off with a wave, grinning after that the others didn’t see.

TWELVE
“We aren’t really doing this right?”
“I think it will be a great bonding experience.” Bonding experience…….what a load of crap. This is just an excuse to torture my well being.
“Yeah, okay.....whatever.”
“Aren’t you curious about what I do for a living?”
“No.” Taeyong said bluntly walking past the other into the elevator, “I just want to get this over with.” Jaehyun sighed and entered the elevator too, brushing past the other to press the correct button. It looked like a pretty expensive building just by the outside but the inside makes it look like Taeyong shouldn’t even be allowed in here. The elevator dinged, making Taeyong jump out of his daze. The doors opened and Jaehyun exited first, “You ready?” He grabbed Taeyong’s hand before he could nod and lead him along to the office.
“Everyone, this is my husband, Taeyong. Taeyong, this is everyone.” That statement led to whispers and small greetings from everyone sitting at their desks. Mixed reactions in the room.
“Um….Jaehyun? We need your option on this new product, maybe a collaboration with this company.” Jaehyun grabbed the packet of papers from the unknown lady, his face turned sour.
“Absolutely not.” His tone cold and the lady continued, “But Jaehyun your father recommended this company and wants-“
“This way, Tae.” Basically swept away from everyone, Jaehyun led along to his office and let out a loud sigh once he closed the door. He fixed his tie and walked over to his desk. Another sigh came from his mouth once he heard a knock at the door. The lady from before came in without an invitation, slamming the papers on Jaehyun desk and ranted on about the project. Jaehyun let her rumble on as he just sat, rubbing his bottom lip with the tip of his index finger. Faced planted with a grin and once she finished he let out a breathy chuckle.
“Who pays you?”
“Excuse me?” She was taken aback but he continued on, “Who pays you?”
“You do....sir.”
“So why you are listening to my father?”
“Because he-”
“I don’t care what my father has to say about it. I already told you my opinion, Gesung.” He said with a serious and then his voice deepened, “I don’t want to have to tell you again.” She nodded and excused herself from the room. Jaehyun contuined to have that serious look even when she left completely.
During that little scene, Taeyong was just staring (more so at Jaehyun but he doesn’t want to admit that) at them waiting. He didn’t really know what to do but just stare. He noticed in that moment that he never seen the other look like that before. He has made Jaehyun annoyed but never seen that serious side. It made him curious and even now he finds himself just staring. Jaehyun hasn’t noticed and Taeyong can’t bring himself out of this daze.
He looks kind of hot….
“What?”
“What!”
“Did you say something?” Jaehyun looked over at him with a raised eyebrow holding in a grin.
“Sir?” Another woman entered into Jaehyun’s life to nobody’s surprise. She walked in with the click of her heels following along. Taeyong looked her up and down, fitted dress and long dark hair. I’ve seen this before...in a porno.
“Thank you, Mi-ra.” Jaehyun smiled sweetly, making her smile back while tucking her hair behind her ear. Their eye contact broke soon because there was this burning stare that they felt on the side of their faces. She left, avoiding Taeyong’s stare but Jaehyun wasn’t so lucky.
“Who is she?” Taeyong got up from his spot and sat at the corner of Jaehyun’s desk.
“I can’t believe you’re having an affair in our fake marriage.”
Jaehyun gasped, “Who told you?” For some reason Taeyong didn’t care for the humor.
“What is she to you?”
“Does it matter?”
“Fuck buddy?” Taeyong got up and circled around Jaehyun, “Ex? Friends with benefits? I could go on.”
Jaehyun took a deep breath and rephrased his question while turning towards him, “Why does it matter to you?”
“Shouldn’t your husband know?”
“Oh so this isn’t a fake marriage anymore?” Jaehyun asked with a chuckle and Taeyong popped out his hip with a look making the other grin, “She’s just my colleague.”
“There’s a lot of women working here.”
“Does that make you jealous?”
“NO!” Taeyong cleared his throat, “Just making an observation.”
“Well this is a makeup company after all.” Jaehyun said and added on, “Men can wear makeup too but for some reason only women want to work here.”
“Oh I wonder what that reason is.” Taeyong said sarcastically while across from him is a very attractive man in a suit with slick back dark hair. I wonder why ladies are attached to this place.

A week later
Taeyong popped his head out into the hallway after hearing a loud yawn. It’s currently 10am on a Thursday and Taeyong has been up since 6 because of his one class of the day. He didn’t bother to wake the other up for it even though Jaehyun wanted to tag along.
“How come you didn’t wake me up?” Jaehyun looked at him with sleep still in eyes and sighed with a stance of a tired toddler. Taeyong tried to keep a straight face as he explained that his morning class was boring anyway.
“I don’t have any more classes but I do have to practice. If you want to come then we can get food after or something.”
“You know your voice is actually calming when it’s not yelling at me.”
"Shut up." Taeyong avoid his eyes, “Just get ready.”
~~They took the bus to the dance studio and that experience made Jaehyun remember the past.
“Remember when we used to take the bus when we were younger, Tae?”
“I guess.”
“And how we used to hold hands on it?”
“We never- let go of my hand!”
“Do you always practice by yourself?”
“Usually or I have Doyoung come along but that’s only when I need judgment.”
“You could ask me instead.” Jaehyun pouted under his breath.
“You can’t even dance and plus Doyoung is honest with me.”
“Me? Can’t dance? Oh please, I’ll make you look like a beginner. My mom forced me to do ballroom for years.”
“Oh really?” Taeyong brought out a silly grin and pressed play on the radio. The song brought back trauma in Jaehyun’s face and then he was lifted up by the other. He twined their fingers together and placed his free hand on Jaehyun’s shoulder. Their eyes met and Taeyong smiled telling him to take the lead. Jaehyun wrapped his hand on Taeyong’s hip and they moved, sloppy of course. The last time he did this was when he was around 11 and his partner was his 13 year old cousin. Right now, Jaehyun is doing this Taeyong and we all know what Taeyong is. He can’t stop staring at him and Taeyong can’t stop staring at their footing.
“Yep, you’re definitely making me look like a beginner.”
“Shut up.” Jaehyun turned away and Taeyong changed their positioning to make him the leader. Once he got in control that’s when dancing actually happened. They actually got in rhythm and did moves that Jaehyun hasn’t pulled out in years. Taeyong was smiling so sweetly, something he never showed Jaehyun before. I always want you like this. The big finish was coming and Jaehyun confused the other by taking the lead back. He spun Taeyong and dipped him just right when the song finished. They continued to smile at each other and share laughter, still in the dipping pose. Jaehyun was the first to stop laughing while the other continued, he stared deeply. Scanning ever inch of his features all the way down to his lips and Taeyong noticed.
“Um...let’s go eat.”
〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
“I’m off tomorrow.” Jaehyun dropped his head down on Taeyong’s shoulder as he typed away on his laptop. Without looking to his side where Jae still stayed and the other was surprised that it wasn’t a whine that exited his mouth.
“I am too.”
“So~ wanna stay up together?”
"What are we in high school?" Taeyong shrugged his shoulders with a little smile. “Sure.”
Once Taeyong was done on his laptop he gestured they make dinner together but Jaehyun offered to pay for takeout instead. They ate so food and they watched some corny action movie that Mark recommended. Once that was over Taeyong went to shower to really enjoy the night in. When he came back Jaehyun was not in the living room anymore but out on the balcony, smoking which he hasn’t done in a while. Taeyong joined him and they looked down at the city lights. Groups of people walking towards bars and clubs. It was Taeyong that got the beers and popped the first one open. With a little bit of alcohol following in them they begun to talk about anything. The past, the future, where they see themselves after this whole thing.
“Sorry that I punched you at the wedding….” Taeyong looked down at the empty can and continued on with a sigh, “And that other time.”
“That’s just how you show you care.” Jaehyun cracked opened another beer and sat across from Taeyong.
“What happened that night?”
“What night?”
“Don’t play dumb with me, Tae.” Jaehyun has been wanting to ask the other since what feels like forever at this point. He found the right time and that first time he asked it got out such a big reaction from Taeyong. He needed to know what happened.
“What about it ?”
“I’m asking you what happened that night?”
“We kissed.” Taeyong surprised himself with how nonchalant he said it. It happened months ago so it doesn’t feel like a big deal anymore.
“Really?” Jaehyun looked over quickly and Taeyong nodded.

ELEVEN
“You aren’t focusing…for once.” Doyoung cut off the music. At this point with the amount of times Taeyong has made him watch this choreography he might as well be the teacher. Case in point Doyoung is noticing the small mistakes that Taeyong could never let himself make.
“I know. I know.”
“What’s wrong?” Doyoung sat down next to him and proceeded to nudge the answer out of him.
“Did something happen when we left?” It’s been a couple of days since that night and Taeyong can’t shake off the feeling of Jaehyun’s lips against his. It was like time stopped for that moment.....for us.
“Did you two…? Well you know…fuck?” That statement took Taeyong out of his daze and he screamed while getting red in the face, “OF COURSE WE DIDN’T!” He looked away, “We just……” and touched his lips in the memory of it, “Kissed.”
“Oh my god. I need to tell Mark about this.”
“No no no. No telling that monster.” Taeyong snatched the phone away from him and sank down on the floor.
“That’s all that happened? You sure that you two didn’t fuck?” The last part was a bitter whisper that came out of Doyoung’s mouth.
“I imagined what it would have been like if we didn’t stop kissing.” Taeyong confessed and Doyoung’s face fell blank causing the other to panic, “Say something!”
“What do you want me to say?” Bitter.
“Tell me I’m crazy.”
“Okay.” Doyoung shrugged and continued with a harsh chuckle, “You’re crazy.”
Taeyong looked down at the floor, thinking about that night and just how drunk Jaehyun got. How much liquor courage was in him.
“My old classmates told me that he has always had a crush on me.”
“It’s hilarious that you never noticed that.”
———————————————
It was bright and early. Taeyong had to decide weather or not he should get out of bed. He has classes in about an hour then off to the dance studio. Taeyong didn’t see Jaehyun that morning just a small note with ‘save a plate for me’ written on it.
“Did I just become a house wife?” Taeyong tsked while throwing away the note. He totally did. It started with him noticing how dirty the other is so he cleaned the house. he also noticed how Jaehyun doesn’t really cook for himself since he’s always working. Taeyong’s mother taught him how to cook and clean ever since he was little. Because of this he was able to be independent and left the house once he was 18, been on his own.
~Taeyong finally sat down on the couch from his busy day of cleaning, school and practice. He looked over at his phone next to him. It’s almost midnight and not a Jaehyun in sight. He usually ends up showing up in the door with a stupid smirk and a sigh of relief. The door swung opened and Jaehyun appeared in the hall doing his routine.
"Honey~ I'm home." He hung up his coat while kicking off his shoes and proceeded to hunt down his meal.
"It's on the counter." Taeyong hollered from the couch and Jaehyun looked over. There it was a home cooked meal wrapped in tin foil. Excitement went across his face as he began to enjoy his meal.
"Thank you~"
"Yeah yeah."
The energy was happy and quiet. Taeyong felt the relaxation creeping upon him until he heard the sound of something unpleasant.
“Clean up after yourself.” Taeyong looked around the counter to see a dish in the sink. A dirty dish after he just done did all of the dishes and also cooked dinner for the night.
“Stop making a big deal about it, one dish will not hurt you.”
“That’s not the point of me telling you this.”
“Then what is?” Jaehyun took his last bite while raising his eyebrow.
“Shut up, I’m thinking.” Taeyong rubbed his temple and stared the other down, “Just don’t make it a habit.”
“Whatever.” Jaehyun got up from the table and made direct eye contact with the other as he proceeded to put a dirty dish in the sink. He then smirked while walking away slowly. Taeyong stormed over there and grabbed hold of his shirt near the neck.
“What are you gonna do? Kiss me?”
Taeyong clenched his fist and his ears started to ring. Suddenly Jae back up with force from something hitting him. Taeyong’s fist was still clenched.
Jaehyun bit his lip and rubbed it while grinning, “This is how you want to handle things?” Taeyong nodded feeling anger still rising up inside of him.
“Punch me like how you did at the wedding.”
“Punch me back then.” Taeyong started swinging barely landing any shots on the other. Jaehyun dodged them for once and was able to get behind to wrap his arms around. He squeezed tight to stop the other from squirming.
“What the hell are you doing?” Jaehyun grunted trying to keep his grip, “Better yet, what are we doing? This is stupid.”
"Taeyong!”
The grip was released and Tae finally clamed down but still had anger in his face.
“What’s wrong?”
“You! It’s you.” Taeyong felt like pulling his hair out. How does he not know? Why doesn’t he remember?
“You’ve been like this since the anniversary.”
Something broke in Taeyong just then.
“You know what? You’re right.” He crossed his arms and popped out a hip. Why should he remember?
“That night just made me realize how much I never liked you. I don’t know how I’m gonna last another year.”
“Really?”
———————————————
*Ring ring, ring ring, ring ring*
A groaned echoed the room and a deep annoyed voice answered the phone.
"What?"
"Don't what me, young man! Tell you and your little lover to get over to the office immediately. Taeyong's dad is furious!" The phone hung up abruptly and Jaehyun rose from his ashes.
"Taeyong's dad is furious~ blah blah. Then call Taeyong's phone."
~“I hate that I have to hear from Mark that you two actually get into physical fights.” Taeyong’s dad rubbed his temple and looked at them with tiredness.
“He starts them.” Jaehyun crossed his arms like a child.
“You didn’t clean up after yourself.” Taeyong already started to get mad, “The one fucking rule in the house.”
“Said who?”
“You! You did!”
“It’s a problem that you look ready to hit him again.” Mr. Lee jumped in with the same look on his face.
“They aren’t serious.” Jaehyun tried to reassure the older which made Mr. Lee chuckle while pointing, “You have a bruise on your face.”
Jaehyun touched his cheek and winced from the stinging, he looked over to the side, “You should see the other guy.”
“You two are going to counseling.”
“What why? This isn’t even real!” Taeyong finally spoke about to protest more.
“Keep your voice down young man.”
“We really don’t need it, dad.”
“Did you just fucking call him dad?” Jaehyun proudly nodded, “I should kill you.” Taeyong spoke through his teeth.
“Taeyong.” His dad deepened his voice then cleared it, speaking his demand, “But end of discussion, I’ll have you two scheduled for next weekend.”
Jaehyun hollered in pain from Taeyong kicking him in the leg.
“That’s for calling him dad.”
“Make it this weekend.”
———————————————
"Get up."
"No."
"You sitting here all day is not gonna solve anything probably just make your dad more angry." Jaehyun stated and Taeyong didn't move an inch. In that moment Jaehyun’s eye twitched and he grabbed the other over his shoulder, making his way to the room that the lady reception pointed to. He plopped Taeyong down on the couch and sat besides him with a little sigh of defeat, "Now try to be good."
That sent a chill down his spine....for some reason. Taeyong mocked the other as he sat in the slouched with his arms cross. He can't believe that his dad of all people even had the idea of marriage counseling. He's the type to ignore people's feelings just to get on with life. "It's no good to dwell on the past, Taeyong."
"Guess you two are the happy couple?" A young woman walked into the room with a bright smile.
"Yeah the happiest." Taeyong sat up in his chair with a sigh.
"I'm doctor Mia. I'll ask the basics to get to know you two better." Dr. Mia got settled into a chair and clicked her pen against a notepad, “How did you two meet?”
“Our parents were childhood friends.”
“I was forced to be around him.”
"Childhood? You two must close growing up then.” Dr. Mia stated then continued now with a bunch of filler questions. To which Jaehyun answered first and Taeyong would had banter. Jaehyun gave him a look at every comment.
"Lastly, what brings you two in here today."
"He's a shit head."
"We aren’t seeing eye to eye lately."
"Because you're a shit head."
"Taeyong, why is he a shit head?" Finally someone other than Jaehyun is genuinely asking about his feelings. Only took around 20 years of his life for this.
"He expects me to do everything around the house. Cook, clean, I'm not a house wife! I have school and dance practice that I'm very focused on."
"He doesn’t have a job though."
"What does that have to do with anything?" Taeyong crossed his leg over and faced Jaehyun. He cleared his throat and looked over at the doctor instead.
"I'm just saying that once he finishes school and practice then he’s home all day so naturally he would.....do those things." Jaehyun murmured the last part and Taeyong forced a laugh, "Naturally~"
"So Taeyong, you think that your husband should do his share. Jaehyun, you think that Taeyong doesn't do has much as you."
"When you put it that way I sound like an asshole."
"Because you are."
The talking continued well mainly Taeyong telling Jaehyun how much of an asshole he is. Of course it made him a little anger back but he knows there’s another reason to this sudden change in attitude. He knows he did something wrong since the anniversary but Taeyong won’t explain anything.
“You two really love each other a lot. I can see it.”
“You don’t know the half of it.”
“This might sound crazy but I think you two need to spend more time together, join in on each other’s lives.”
“That did sound crazy.” Taeyong laughed.
“Taeyong, do you know what your husband does for a living?”
It was a sudden question that really made him think. He wears a suit everyday....is always having business calls and meetings.
“Of course I do! He works at a place that pays him, pretty much all I need to know.”
“Don’t you want your marriage to last?”
“Of course we do~” Jaehyun cut in and gripped Taeyong’s hand looking over at him, “Right, honey.”
“Yeah sure whatever, so um- how do we fix this?” Taeyong looked at her like she didn't already give her input. All she did was sigh and smiled a little, “At least think about doing what I said.”
“I can already feel the headache.”
“That’s marriage for ya! And since I can tell how much you two are in love then I can tell that everything will be fine. It’s up to your father, Taeyong, to schedule another session if he feels that you two are still in a pickle.” Dr. Mia finally put down her pen and pad, “But I believe in the both of you.”

TEN
“Honey~ I’m gonna go get the wine.”
“Okay, Jae.” Taeyong smiled at the other and a kiss to the cheek was planted on him before Jaehyun left out the front door. That has been the one of many times Jaehyun can make Taeyong blush. He just can’t stand it. This past year has been that. Sweet talking, gifts and kisses to the face. We never actually kissed. Maybe that’s what made the year go by so fast. The acting, pretending around others.
“You’re so lucky~”
“Yeah, you have no idea.” Taeyong was surrounded by a couple of old classmates, the super early people to come join the party that’s going to happen later tonight. Usually Mark and Doyoung would be the first to come but Taeyong’s dad forced them along for last minute gift shopping. Taeyong would rather just be alone with the wine.
“How did you guys meet anyway?”
“Oh I’ve known him since I was a baby. Our dads are business partners and childhood friends so by default we were always together.” Taeyong can tell this story time and time again; the day that he actually acknowledged Jaehyun.
It wasn’t anything special. Taeyong was a shy boy around everyone and living things. So when he was introduced to Jaehyun during the toddler years let’s just say there was a lot of crying and a very confused little Jae. That phrase of being scared of his personality didn’t end until around the age of 8 where Jaehyun was actually able to say hi. Did he get a hi back? No, that wasn’t until they were both teenagers. Still, that wasn’t the first time he acknowledged Jaehyun. Taeyong still remembers that day, the day that someone confessed to Jaehyun in the middle of lunch. It wasn’t the confession itself but the way that Jaehyun completely ignored the girl just to look at him the whole time. Tae can still hear how his heart was in his ears that day. Why was he looking at me that day?
“We all thought you hated him.” They giggled and someone continued, “With all the yelling you did and ignoring him, it’s shocking that I got a wedding invitation for you two.”
“I didn’t hate him…..” Taeyong looked around trying to justify himself without it coming out has rude, “His personality was a lot, to younger me.”
“Jaehyun stuck to you like glue and plus he was good to you.”
“Yeah….he was the one to be there for me when all that stuff happened with my mom.”
“I mean that makes sense. Jaehyun has always had a crush on you.”
“What?”
“You didn’t know that?” One of the classmates asked and the others were in shock of his lack of knowledge.
“When did he say-”
“I’m back.”
~The rest of the night was simple to say the least. Just a lot of drinking and talking, that's how the whole night should have been. Instead Taeyong was stuck babysitting a drunk idiot that won’t stop touching him.
“Try that again and see what happens.” Taeyong’s eyes were sharp and his grip on Jaehyun was strong to keep those hands away.
“Your skin is soft though.” The other murmured while slowly caressing his hands, “You have to hold my hand.”
“I don’t wanna hold your hand.”
“Hold my hand, Taeyong.” When Jae reached out the other stood up leaving him to land on his face from the imbalance. Jaehyun tsked sitting back up to cross his arms with a pout, “So rude~”
“One more year and you can kiss my nasty attitude goodbye.” Taeyong turned to him smiling, “For good.”
“Jung Jaehyun, I know how much you had to drink and it wasn’t white girl wasted enough.” Taeyong struggled to bring the taller one to his room. Dragging him wasn’t the hard part, it was the fact that Jaehyun was still a little too touchy.
“Come on Tae, the night is still young.”
“Put the bottle down.” When Taeyong reached for it, that's when Jaehyun let go and reached for Taeyong instead. Glass broke on the floor and whatever left of the liquor spilled. Taeyong sighed, being too pissed off to notice Jaehyun had a powerful grip around his waist. Jaehyun continued to hug the other from behind even when there was a struggle.
“Jaehyun I have to clean it up before someone gets hurt.”
“But I’m cuddling.”
“Okay if you want to do that then go hug your pillow.”
“You’re the only person I want to hug right now.” Jaehyun murmured that into Taeyong’s neck leaving the spot hot and all that heat went straight to his ears causing chills to form.
“Get off already.”
“I want to hug you.”
“I need to clean this mess, the one you made.” Taeyong whined as he disconnected Jaehyun’s arms from around his waist and went over to the mess. He wasn’t fast enough, drunk Jaehyun is a lot faster and isn’t afraid of his own actions. He threw Taeyong on the couch and pinned his body beneath his.
“Jae?” Taeyong blinked trying to form a sentence a little too late, “Wait-“
Just like that they were in a deep kiss. Jaehyun put his whole body into the kiss and without realizing Taeyong kissed him back. He could probably be secondhand drunk with the smell of liquor coming from Jaehyun’s. He’s drunk, Taeyong.
“Your lips are so soft.” Jaehyun giggled to himself, “Just how I imagined.”
He went down for another kiss and Taeyong reacted quickly by kicking him right below the belt. An almost growl escaped from him but the hit wasn’t enough to lose his grip on Taeyong. It made it stronger as he looked back down at the other making the space between them closer. Taeyong couldn’t move at all, he tried with no luck even when he kicked again.
“Jaehyun.” Taeyong gulped trying to stay calm as Jaehyun got closer. He braced himself to be completely dominated, even held his breath waiting. Nothing. Nothing happened. Jaehyun chuckled slowly and when Taeyong looked up he couldn’t tell what the look was. Passion? Disappointment? Sadness? Lust? Suddenly weight was on his body again and a light snore entered the room.
Jaehyun woke up with a massive headache circling around him. He couldn’t remember anything from last night, not even what kind of alcohol he did drink. He headed to the kitchen slowly trying not to get light headed.
“Good morning.” He smiled towards Taeyong who was quietly eating a bowl of cereal. He saw how the other jumped just by his presence.
“Morning…” Something’s off…..I never get a morning back.
“Um here, for the hangover.” Taeyong pulled out a pill bottle and when Jaehyun grabbed it he proved his theory, his hand brushed over the other’s making the bottle fall to the floor.
“Did I do something last night?” Jaehyun asked quietly to not make the other jump this time but he still did.
“Don’t be stupid, of course not!”
“Oh...good.” Silence and awkwardness fell in the room making Jaehyun want to apologize over and over again for something he doesn’t know.
“I’m going to school.”
“I’ll give you a ride.”
“No it’s fine!” Once Taeyong ran out Jaehyun’s heart sank.

NINE
“You have to be my friend, Taeyong. If our dads are then we gotta be like them~”
“Get away from me.”
At a young age they did everything together since their families were very close especially business wise. Jaehyun calls them best friends for life and Taeyong hasn’t really had a full conversation with him. It’s work for them though because Jaehyun doesn’t need that to be interested in him so much.
“Are you listening, Taeyong?”
“Could you shut up?” Taeyong quickly turned aaway knocking into someone in the process and the eye contact to apologize made Taeyong’s eyes roll. "Watch where you're going next time."
"Oh no. I'm so sorry. I forgot you hate being touched by the poor." Yuta Nakamoto, the one person that actually gets on Taeyong’s nerves more than Jaehyun does. "Your majesty."
"Fuck off." Taeyong pushed past and faintly heard in between the other insults.
“At least my dad doesn’t hate me.”
“What did you say?”
“Leave Taeyong alone.” Jaehyun inbetween and stared Yuta down hard.
“Whatever….” Yuta tsked off and waved with a little smirk, “Bye, Taeyong!” before finally leaving with a group of people that purposely pushed Taeyong has they walked away.
“Thanks.”
“Just helping out a friend.”
“Don’t call me that.” Taeyong groaned while walking towards and basically felt the other’s breath down his neck, "And don't walk so close to me. I already had this conversation with you about personal space."
––––––––––––– ––––––––––––– –––––––––––––
"Why isn't he answering?" Jaehyun clicked on the call button again.
“What?” He answered with annoyance since the caller ID wasn’t Taeyong’s.
“Get here quickly. There’s a serious matter I need to talk to you about.”
“Can’t it wait? I’m waiting for Tae-”
“He won’t answer his phone or call you. Something happened with his mother and his father is requesting you. So get here now.”
Quick to his feet Jaehyun raced out of his house and ran all the way to his father's usual restaurant where he held all of his important meetings.
‘We are rich but nobody makes ramen as good as the regular people, Jaehyun.’
“What do you want?”
~Jaehyun ran over to find Taeyong in the first place he should have checked to begin with. The trees. The biggest one in the whole town right next to the place that Taeyong admires from afar; his mother’s old dance studio.
In the moonlight there sat Taeyong in the tree looking straight at the run down building. Even with tears you’re eyes shine the brightest. Jaehyun sighed and stared to climb until he hear the faint voice of Tae.
“Why are you here?”
“Your dad told me to come get you.” Jaehyun grunted while finally getting up the tree and hung from the branch to catch his breath.
“Yeah well you and my dad can screw off.”
“Are you upset about your mom?”
“Leave me alone, Jaehyun.” Taeyong wiped the tears off his face and turned away making Jaehyun have a sad smile.
"Is that why you aren't answering your phone?"
"And delete my number." Taeyong turned around with sass but it quickly went away when he saw Jaehyun smile. I didn’t realize how lost I got in it.
“Don’t worry about it, she’ll be fine.”
“How do you know that? Do you even know anything?”
“I know some things.” Jaehyun sounded offended but continued to comfort the other with a little bit more attitude, “And I know that she’ll get better because she’s the type that doesn’t give up.”
“So you shouldn’t either.” Taeyong never heard Jaehyun get so serious but it was quickly ruined with a smirk.
“Do you want a hug?”
“Get away, idiot.” He pushed and laughed a little which made Jaehyun laugh too.
“Thanks, Jung Jaehyun.”
“No problem, Lee Taeyong.”
––––––––––––– ––––––––––––– –––––––––––––
Taeyong stared at the wall with music blasting in his ears, practicing steps in his head and ignoring the business meeting his dad dragged him to. During a breakdown that Taeyong hasn’t mastered yet a pair of hands removed the big headphones from his ears. He was ready to turn around to protest but stop because of just how close Jaehyun was to his face.
“How’s your mom?”
“Um....the same.”
“How’s the dance lessons going.”
“How do you know I’m taking them?” Taeyong asked with narrowed eyes and Jaehyun grabbed his neck laughing nervously.
“Do you follow me?” Jaehyun didn’t answer just contuined to laugh some more. “Oh my god, you totally do!”
“Taeyong!” His father yelled and when Taeyong looked over he saw a whole bunch of grown men staring at him. He stood up apologizing and bowing fully at a 90 degree angle. When he sat back down fire was in his eyes while he looked at Jaehyun whispering slurs.
“Don’t you have....like friends?” Taeyong whispered again and Jaehyun nodded.
“I just wanna focus on my best friend though.”
“I’m not even your friend.” Taeyong proceed to bring his headphones up to his ear until he hear the other spit out nonsense.
“I was thinking maybe when we’re grown adults I should just make you my wife.”
“Stop talking out of your ass before I shove my foot up there!”

EIGHT
For the almost fifth time this month Taeyong has come back home after midnight. Now any sane person would put the fact since he’s in his school’s dance studio and dancing is his life, that's just normally where he is. So it shouldn’t be anything new or anything should be assumed otherwise. Jaehyun doesn’t think sanely though and he knows that trait of his always starts trouble. However he hasn’t said anything to him because he already feels bad for the whole living situation. It’s the only thing he thinks about. Every waking moment, everytime Taeyong leaves the house, that's all he’s thinking about. Is it just Jaehyun being nosy? Maybe so but his excuse is being a concerned husband, to put it lightly.
Jaehyun sat in the main room sitting in front of the entrance waiting for Taeyong to come home after midnight again. I’m not going to say anything, just be nice and welcome him home. Taeyong walks in and is shocked to see Jaehyun sitting there. A little eye roll as he kicked off his shoes and put his stuff down.
“Hello sir~” He walked to the kitchen and Jaehyun followed quickly behind, “Why are you up being creepy?” Actually what Tae doesn’t know is that Jaehyun is up until the other gets home every night, he’s just in his room waiting to hear the door open and for Tae to close his bedroom door. I whisper goodnight to you every night.
“Just made sure you came home.”
“Well I’m home, goodnight.” Tae waved with a water bottle he grabbed from the fridge. It was almost the end of that conversation but just the way Taeyong responded made something twitch in Jaehyun.
“Why do you always come home late?” Fuck…. The other stopped in his tracks and sighed heavily. “Because I have a life.”
“Are you seeing someone?” It was a fast question and Taeyong turned around even faster. He looked at Jae with a frown and almost bursted out ‘of course not’ but then he started laughing.
“Woah you almost fooled me into thinking we were actually a couple.” Still with a little laughter in his voice he asked, “What’s it to you?”
“I don’t want to get in trouble because of you.”
“Well you won’t.” Again with the response another twitch happened and Jaehyun got a tight grip on Tae’s wrist. “Tell me where you were.”
“At my studio practicing for my dance that I have to perform at the end of the semester.” Taeyong didn’t stutter and Jaehyun tightened his hand while biting the inside of his cheek, “Don’t lie to me.”
“Lie? Why the fuck would I lie about that?” Taeyong looked down at his hand nervously trying to pull away from the other and looked back up, “You know what I do everyday this isn’t anything new.”
“Can you let go of me? It hurts-“ Jaehyun pulled him in closer and whispered, “Not until you tell me where you were.”
“I did already, Jaehyun.” Taeyong’s voice was small and he continued while looking at the other’s burning eyes, “Why? Why don’t you just fucking believe me?” Jaehyun continued to stay quiet but still kept a strong grip on him, Taeyong continued to talk.
“I wasn’t with anyone! Even if I was, why do you need to know so badly?”
“Because I’m jealous!” Silence……nothing but silence. Taeyong looked over at Jaehyun who looked away from him. Jealous? Of what? Taeyong pulled at the grip the other had and it made Jaehyun’s eyes widen. He let go quickly with a murmured apology and walked down to his room without another word.
“Wait, Jaehyun. Jealous of wh-“ The door was slammed on him and a broken voice hollered from behind it. “I’m sorry, Taeyong. Just go to sleep.” Goodnight…
5…..my hand isn’t in the right place. 6…….wrong way! 7…..that landing sucked. 8……nothing is right. Move after move, step after step, everything is wrong.
“Fuck!” The music continued to play as Taeyong threw himself down on the floor with a grunt. Since the fight last night that’s all Taeyong can think about. He didn’t get a lick of sleep nor is he practicing right. He’s just….worried? Is that the word? Angry, annoyed, upset? He doesn’t know maybe all of the above at this point. He looked at his phone and saw the time, 11:14 pm. I’ll call it a day. He sat up and sighed at that thought.
“This is really bothering me that much? Oh my god.”
Instead of walking back home like he would usually do……yes an hour walk like a mad man. Taeyong decided to take the bus home too instead of just taking it to his school. If he did walk back home then he would be alone with his thoughts that are already eating away at his brain. To be honest he didn’t want Jaehyun to worry more so he left and was home before midnight. When he stepped inside the house there was no weirdo sitting by the entrance. He can’t lie and say that it didn't bother him. It felt empty. He almost called out for the other but noticed a sudden breeze filling the room. The balcony door was opened and the wind from the night was blowing at the curtains. Jaehyun stood there in the moonlight.
“You’re home?” Jaehyun’s voice came from behind the balcony’s curtains. Taeyong walked onto the ground with a nod and stepped next to the other. There stood Jaehyun in front of an ashtray and a cig in his right hand.
“You smoke?” Taeyong tilted his head to the side and Jaehyun chuckled a little, “Yea it’s one of many bad habits I have.” Taeyong hummed and looked in the direction that Jaehyun was looking. Jae stopped looking there and looked at Taeyong instead, instead he looked at Taeyong’s body language.
“Does it bother you?
“No.”
“I’ll stop if it does.” For some reason that made Taeyong’s face red and he turned away quickly so the other wouldn’t see. So he didn't question it, he asked, “What brings you out here?”
“I don’t know...just to think I guess.” You wouldn’t have to do that if I let you trust me.
“I’m sorry about the other night.” Jaehyun started,“I shouldn’t have taken it seriously….I was just being nosy.” He flicked his cig and put it out in the ashtray.
“It’s alright, you’re probably still stuck on making it real mode.”
“Yeah….guess so.” Jaehyun laughed at that thought and he continued to laugh at myself.
“I’m sorry too though. It’s just a habit of mine to stay out the whole day, even more so because of dancing.”
“I usually do too so I shouldn’t have gotten angry over that.”
“You work for your dad right?”
“Sort of, but it mostly feels like slave work. My dad usually plans out everything for me anyway so the day he told me that I’m marrying. Let’s just say that I wasn’t really shocked.” Jaehyun looked back up at the moon and then went on to ask, “Did you always think your dad would make you marry someone?”
“Yeah.” Taeyong nodded repeatedly, “Just didn’t think it would be you.”
“My dad had this plan for me and then I told him I got into my dream school for dancing.” Tae blinked slowly at the thought, “And you already know his reaction to that.”
“How long have you been dancing?”
“Since I was two years old.”
“No wonder you were really good that day.” Jaehyun whispered and quietly shook his head away from those memories, “Why dancing?”
“My mom was a ballerina so I guess I followed in her footsteps.”
Jaehyun nodded mentally saying ‘ah makes sense’.
“How is she?”
“The same.” Taeyong answered flatly and rested his head on Jaehyun without noticing. Jaehyun looked a little so Taeyong didn't move and he smiled sweetly.

SEVEN
Two weeks. It’s been two weeks since the wedding and has it been challenging? Yes. Is that stopping Taeyong from getting on with his life? Maybe just a little bit but it isn’t his fault. His new husband always gets in the way of things that lead to Tae having to get distracted. Like right now, heading to the grocery store for tonight’s dinner and since this trip was needed.
“Chicken or beef?”
“Chicken since beef isn’t on sale.” Jaehyun puts the beef in the cart.
“Rice or noodles with veggies?”
“Noodles….” Jaehyun puts both in the cart and Taeyong finally hollered, “Why am I here then if you aren’t going to listen to me?” I like your company.
“It’s a bonding experience, don't you think?”
“That’s what we’re calling tortue now?”
“You act like you were doing anything else.”
“I was going to!”
"Well well." They both looked up to someone that looked awfully familiar, "Just the people I was looking for." The person in front of them stood at the same height as Taeyong and uncomfortably that was the only one he was staring at. Taeyong stood there confused as if he’s not sure if he knows this man. Seeing that the unnamed person chuckled to himself.
"Who are you?"
“I can’t believe that my best friend doesn't remember me.” The person actually looked hurt at Taeyong’s words. It was a burning feeling in Tae’s chest, best friend...whatever that should mean. Undoubtedly Taeyong is pretty popular and friendly towards general people but he doesn’t remember anyone looking like this guy to be considered a best friend.
“Are you gonna tell us who you are or….?” Jaehyun crooked an eyebrow up and the still unidentified person proceeded to grab all of his hair sitting at his shoulders just to tie it up.
"Yuta?" Taeyong sounded horrified as he should be since Yuta was sort of a dick towards him and it would only be him.
“In the flesh.” Yuta grinned as he looked Taeyong up and down, sending an uncomfortable chill down his spine. Jaehyun stood back confused, still not knowing who Yuta is and for being worried as to why Taeyong is frozen.
“A little upset that I wasn’t invited to the wedding, Tae~”
“Didn't know you were alive still.” Taeyong gulped and Jaehyun cut in with a remark, “And I still don’t know who the fuck you are.”
"Rude~" They continued to bicker back and forth, mainly Yuta trying to think of anything that would have Jaehyun remember him. Nothing worked. Instead it made him get annoyed and Taeyong grew more nervous being in front of Yuta for this long.
"But you two seem happy."
"Yeah…..we are." Waiting this long for a conversation just had Jaehyun be bothered at this point. “Is there anything else you want to say?”
“I’m just here to report anything…..misleading.”
"Report to who?" Tae finally talked again, tension leaving his shoulders since he was generally curious.
"Oh I didn't mention that I work for SME."
"No you didn't."
"What's so misleading about two people in love?"
“You two?” He said while taking breaks to laugh in between, “In love?”
“The last time I checked you two couldn’t be in the same room as the other without a fight breaking out.”
“Things change! People change and feelings….can too.” Tae looked around curiously and locked eyes with Jaehyun then a smile broke out, “You just don’t know what will happen one day.”
“Cute.”
"If there's nothing else you want to bother us with then excuse me and my wife." Jaehyun dragged Taeyong and the cart away from Yuta, proceeding to go checkout. Yuta stood there with his grin and looked at the back of Taeyong’s head, trying to burn a hole in it. Tae didn’t know how to feel right now, he never thought that he would see him after graduating. He also thought that with Jaehyun but here we are legally married to him. The last time he saw Yuta it ended with him being called a fa-
“Sounds like you were really talking from the heart in there.” Jaehyun spoke out from the driver's seat.
“Just drive.”
↘↘↘↘↘↘↘↘↘
“I’m starting to get tired of you two walking around here like you live here too.” Jaehyun looked at the two, Doyoung and Mark, who just sat in the kitchen instead of helping with bags.
“Wherever Taeyong lives we live there too and if you don’t like it then you shouldn’t have married him~” Mark smiled but Taeyong annoyed the coming argument by cutting in, “Guess who we bumped into today.”
“Jesus~” Doyoung spoke without looking up from his phone.
“He acted like he was one.” Jaehyun spoke under his breath and Taeyong looked over with a side eye of confusion but went back. “Nakamoto Yuta, the captain of the soccer team back in high school.”
“Did he get hotter?”
“Mark!”
“I’m asking a question!” Taeyong was about to continue but Jaehyun cut him off, “Anyways he works for SME apparently and asked us a whole bunch of questions.”
"Did you two make out in front of him?"
“You know what? I was trying to be nice and let you two hangout for a bit but nevermind that, get the fuck out.”
“I didn’t even say anything-” Doyoung finally looked up from his phone only to be kicked out with Mark being the culprit. “I don’t care!” Before Taeyong could turn back after slamming the door, Jaehyun was right in front of him.
“Why were you acting like that in front of Yuta?”
“Like what?”
“Nervous.” Jaehyun's face just became more concerned. You noticed that? “I don’t know what you mean.”
“You can tell me, Taeyong. I'm here for you.”
“You’ll laugh at me.” Taeyong brushed Jaehyun away but continued away, “I sound like a little kid saying he was my bully.”

He can’t believe it. Today is the day, it happened too quickly. He honestly can’t believe it. The whole chain of events happened too suddenly even with avoiding it for most of it. It still managed to creep up on him and ruin his morning. It started with getting his phone blown up by Mark at an godly hour so that he can get ready in time. Also the fact that paparazzi find out where he lives but luckily Mark and Doyoung were there to save him with excuses. The only good thing that came from the morning events was the ice coffee he got after putting his suit on.
Taeyong spent the rest of his afternoon waiting for the ceremony and guests to arrive. Doyoung and Mark stayed for only the getting ready part since it was both father’s request to make sure an escape didn’t take place. It was a good thing too since Taeyong faked going to the bathroom and almost got away with pretending to be a staff member. Nonetheless Taeyong sat pretty scrolling through his phone at peace until he heard a knock at the door. He expected it to be his father coming in to threaten him one last time.
“Yo~” Shockingly it was Jaehyun popping his head in, even better~
“Are you nervous?” Is that a trick question?
"No."
"You look nervous."
"Well then you're not helping." Tae sighed, putting his phone down on his lap.
"Hold my hand if you're nervous."
"I'm not touching you, Jaehyun."
“You’re going to have to kiss me up there anyway. Why is holding hands a big deal right now?” Jaehyun said with all seriousness which almost made Taeyong laugh in his face.
“Do you really think I’m going to kiss you?”
“You kind of have to~” A grin appeared on Jaehyun’s face as he put his arm around the other’s shoulder, “Picture this; we say I do and not kiss. Headlines and the media are going to eat us alive, along with our fathers and you should already know what will happen after that.” Taeyong just rolled his eyes at that logic but in the end Jaehyun is right, they both know that the media has power.
“But anyway I came to get you, we’re starting.” Jaehyun had a little cheer in his voice and cleared, “I’ll see you at the end of the aisle.” Once the other left Taeyong sighed getting up from his chair and simply said with exhaustion, “Well fuck it.”
“Taeyong, over here~” As soon as he left the room he could see his father’s grin even before turning around. He gripped onto his son’s arm and they began to walk down the aisle, music playing and the guest starring. His father said a mouthful in his eye and all he could do was fake a smile. A little bit of it was true once he saw Jaehyun in the tux he picked out, his ears red and standing proud.
“You do understand the kind of trouble you’ll put everyone in and yourself right?” They made it to the end and Taeyong finally had the realization of everything crashing down on him at once.
“Loud and clear.” Leaving one grip to another that felt way too inviting. The ceremony started and it turned into a staring contest between the two. Jaehyun tried throwing off the other by pulling him in closer or grinning at certain words that were being said.
“I pronounce you two as partners.”
An awkward couple of seconds went by, as the two just stared into each other’s eyes. Sound was muffled around them. It would be weird if I gave him a handshake…… Jaehyun noticed the other pondering into thought and went in to whisper in his ear. Instead of going to whisper something he was surprised by a kiss to the cheek. Cameras flashed and people cheered, throwing rice as the newlyweds walked down the aisle holding hands.
"I can't believe you gave me a kiss on my cheek."
"Shut up."
“Also you’re holding my hand.” Jaehyun whispered and Taeyong quickened the walk.

The after party was something Taeyong actually felt scared about. People coming up and congratulating him about something fake, lying about loving Jaehyun. If only these people knew the whole story then everyone would just quickly get drunk. That’s something Taeyong will have to pass on tonight since the last time he got drunk he was on Jaehyun’s couch.
“Hey wifey~” Taeyong pushed Jaehyun away but with a smile and gently since there are witnesses.
“Not even a little kiss on the cheek again?”
"Would you shut up about that already?"
"But I miss your kisses~"
“I’m not afraid to kick your ass in front of all these people.” Taeyong kept a straight face. Jaehyun chuckled a little and took a sip from his glass, “You won’t because all these people we are in front of are pretty important people to our parents.”
“So doing that would be the same thing as telling them everything is a lie.” Jaehyun continued on with that damn smug face. “And I really doubt you could kick my ass, Lee Taeyong.”
“Come on, let's go mingle.” You’re lucky I like dancing…..with you.
“Look at the two lovebirds!” Jaehyun’s father hollered out with Taeyong’s father near by. Clearly even after getting married he’ still out free from all the bullshit.
“Clear your day tomorrow, you have to move into Jaehyun’s house.” Moving in? Taeyong laughed for a moment and soon enough came to since he was the only one laughing.
“That wasn’t part of the deal!” Angry build up quickly. “It’s bad enough I actually agreed to this shit show but now you suspect me to live with him?”
“It was Jaehyun’s idea after all and I completely agree with him. A married couple should live together especially if we want it to look believable.”
“It was his idea, really?” Taeyong tilted his head and looked over at Jaehyun with the same question, “It was your idea?” You could almost hear the other gulp as he uttered the word Taeyong didn’t want to hear. Without question he pulled the other to a separate room with no witnesses in sight.
“Okay don’t get mad.”
The punch was so strong and quick that Jaehyun didn’t even realize he got hit. He rubbed his jaw and looked over at Taeyong who was breathing heavily. He swung again but this time Jaehyun dodged it and kept a grip on the other’s arm.
“You weren’t joking about kicking my ass today.”
“Was bothering me all my life when we were younger not enough for you?” Taeyong quickly pulled away and aimed for his face again but this time Jaehyun caught it, pinning him against a wall. Heat went straight to Taeyong’s face and looked away.
“I didn’t bother you, this isn’t bothering you. I suggested it because we have to make people believe this bullshit idea our parents came up with.” His voice was sweet and deep as he tried his best to explain the situation. A reaction came out of the other from it and ended up being Jaehyun getting kicked in the groin.
“You hate me that much?” Jaehyun sounded hurt, broken almost and it sent a chill down Tae’s spine. He stood back with
“......no.” His mind couldn’t work any faster for the question. “I like my privacy, that's all."
"It's not going to be forever."
“I’ll make sure it isn’t.”

SHORT PART
“This big house just for you to live in?” Taeyong looked around the house for the first time and he won’t admit that he’s amazed by it. “Seems like a waste.”
“Shouldn’t you be asking if I’m lonely instead.”
“Are you?” Tae knew where this was only to lead to, “Since you’re here probably not anymore.” and he was right like always.
“I knew you were going to say that. That’s why I didn’t want to ask.”
“But you asked anyway~”
"I have my own room?"
"You said you liked your privacy and don't worry my room is down the hall so if you need a cuddle buddy." Jaehyun winked making Tae full body cringe instantly.
“Can’t believe I’m gonna spend the next two years here with you.”

“How’s Taeil?” Taeyong looked over at the bartender with his gestures requesting another drink.
“He’s getting better.” The lean, muscular man said preparing his drink and had a little smile while thinking about Taeil. Together for years and still haven’t had the courage to say the true love/happy ending words.
“Heard you tying the knot. How come I didn’t know about this before the whole planet?”
“It’s complicated and I’m not drunk enough to tell the story yet.” Taeyong finished his new drink in one and tapped the glass for a refill. Watching his friend he thought and continued now, “You and Taeil are invited to the wedding if that makes up for anything.”
“Taeil will be happy.”
“Oh so you came.” A familiar voice called out and when Taeyong turned he was brought face to face with his soon to be husband. He tsked to himself and rolled his eyes, ignoring the bartender’s wandering glaze.
“You never invited me to come here with you.” Taeyong turned with a little sass in his voice, “Johnny this is-”
“The usual, right Jae?” Just before he could get his words out Johnny cut in as if he was speaking to an old friend. Jaehyun nodded towards Johnny, getting his drink and letting the liquid spin in the glass.
“Oh I’m sorry. You two already fucking know each other?” The other was shocked and confused to say the least. He’s known Johnny since he started college because he had one of his all-nighters and decided to come to his bar for a drink. All-nighters and a bar after became a tradition since the bartender was cool then he finally befriended Johnny. Soon after meant his boyfriend of plus years even had a couple of dinners with them. What you need to get at is that how the fuck is Jaehyun friendly with him and how come I never knew that?
“Well since Jaehyun is a really bad alcoholic we became close.” Johnny shrugged but kept a grin the whole time while coming in close to Taeyong, “So this is the lucky one? I would have never guessed.”
“My drinking isn’t that bad.”
“Hmmm~ maybe Taeyong here will be the one to put you straight.” Still with the same grin.
“I’m gonna go dance.”
⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩
Taeyong isn’t one to get shy on the dance, best believe that he’s the first one to start dancing to the next song even if he doesn’t know it. It’s surprising for him to be so charismatic in that department. It’s just something he feels once he hears a beat. The music controls his body and the feelings come out, take over to be in sync with one another.
“Hopefully you didn’t forget that we are getting married soon.” Jaehyun pulled the other off of some guy that was feeling him up. Taeyong being in his own world started to crumble back to reality but he continued to dance.
“And?” Taeyong danced around the other to the beat of the song. Whole body is moving around as Jaehyun just stares at him. “Wouldn’t it look good if you were dancing with me?”
Taeyong stops in his steps and looks at the other with a grin instead of confusion.
“What? So you want me to dance with you instead?” He wrapped his arms around Jaehyun’s neck with his hips swaging very close and he pulled down on Jaehyun’s neck, “You should have just asked.”
“Will you dance with me?”
“Since you asked-” Before Taeyong could get an eye roll in, Jaehyun grabbed him by the waist and pulled him in. Slow moments and the strongest eye contact that Taeyong’s hands started to sweat. He didn’t think the touch would be so sudden, he didn’t think Jaehyun had it in him. A feeling bubbled up inside of him and if it wasn’t for the song changing then that feeling would have made a problem.
And to think I wouldn’t fall for you?
⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩⇩
Let’s say the drinks kicked in once Taeyong started to get exhausted from the hours of dancing….and tension. He then started to talk a little bit of nonsense towards Johnny since he cut him off. Mainly the cussing went straight to Jaehyun just for helping him stand straight up. The night was called done when Taeyong tried dancing with a guy that was clearly eyeing him up and down. Jaehyun didn’t like that one bit, being the grown up he made the other say his goodbyes to Johnny.
“Did you know that I can walk a straight line?” Taeyong talked back and almost fell face first on the ground. So Jaehyun had no choice but to pick him up and give him a ride on his back all the way to his place. He placed him on the couch and went to the kitchen to fletch a glass of water. When he came back Taeyong was working on trying to stand up and walk towards the door.
“Just spend the night.” Jaehyun pulled him back on the couch gently and since the headache killed it was enough to convince Taeyong. “Fine but I’m sleeping on the couch, you perv~” It was still a mission to bring Taeyong to the couch to sleep but they managed. Only for an hour it felt like. Taeyong sat up holding his head and looked around trying to remember what his drunk self did. I'm at Jaehyun’s right now. Where is he? Taeyong looked around the room, a breeze from the balcony came in and he looked over to see a shadow standing by the edge.
"Well hello sleepy head."
"What are you doing out here?"
"Taking in the scenery. Why are you up, an hour of sleep is enough for you?"
"On a good day~" Taeyong leaned on the railing next to Jaehyun and rubbed his head. "All I know is that my headache is going to be crazy in the morning. How are you still drinking?"
"Built different. No one told you to try to outdrink me."
"Don't shame me. I'm getting married. I need relief." Marriage. It's really going to happen sooner than Taeyong thought.
“I never thought that the first time I would see you after high school would be to plan a wedding.” “Let alone our wedding.”
“You can say that again. Life could be weird sometimes.”
Jaehyun twirled his glass of dark liquor, taking a big gulp that has the other looking from the corner of his eye. They saw different sides of each other tonight, showing a side that's in a comfortable state.
“I had fun tonight.”
“And I had fun with you.”
"That's a first." Jaehyun chuckled to himself, bringing goosebumps to Tae's neck from the sudden deepest of it.
"What is?"
"You actually saying something nice to me."
"Well don't get used to it. I'm forced to marry you so I have the right to be mean." A smile showing on Taeyong's face surprised the other.
“Your smile never changed, still nice to look at.”
“Okay lover boy!” Taeyong stops his face from heating up and walks away giving a wave without looking back. “Goodnight.”
“I think I’m going to like this too much.” Jaehyung sipped the rest of his drink and sighed. “Fuck~”

Four
It was long overdue, Taeyong knows that. It’s not like he wants nothing to her like how he is with his dad. She’s the opposite. So he walked into her room and was greeted by her first, she had nothing but a bright smile for him.
“Mom.” It was a big sigh of relief to see her. He felt like a kid again, running to her side and hugging her. He forgot how warm it felt.
“Have you been eating regularly? I remember that used to be a problem in the past.”
“I’m fine, Taeyong. How about you? You look skinnier than the last time I saw you.” She saw the difference instantly, caressing his arm with a little disbelief.
“It’s the dancing.”
“Oh you make me so jealous. How is that anyway, your dancing?”
“It has gotten harder but I love a good challenge.”
“You always do.”
“Hopefully you can see me perform one day.” He said under his breath but she smiled through it anyway. “Can’t wait.”
His mother’s illness is unclear to say the least, they don’t know what it is. One day she can be smiley, full of energy and on her feet but the next day she can look pale. Even worse she could be in the hospital for a week again because she has a fever of over a hundred. Like Taeyong has said before she was a dancer before she got pregnant with him and when she was; she was completely fine. It wasn’t until after giving birth the problems started to happen. Taeyong blames himself everyday for it even his dad did. The guilt started when he was about fifteen, when she collapsed right in front of him and he couldn’t help her. That’s when it happened.
“You know Jaehyun’s a good kid.” His mother had a little smile and Taeyong wanted to roll his eyes but couldn’t. “You two are perfect for each other.”
“We aren’t actually getting married.”
“Oh let me dream. I feel like this will be the only wedding I’ll see you have.”
Taeyong’s smile faded into something with guilt. His mother saw it but she still kept hers. “Tell Jaehyun I said hi.”

Since visiting his mother Taeyong has been ignoring calls from his father and it wasn’t until his cousin had to force him to answer the phone. It wasn’t enough for him to listen until his fake fiancé showed up at his apartment unannounced and basically dragged him out. He claims that the only reason he’s doing it is because everyone is getting an ear full from Taeyong’s father. Rightfully so since the wedding is right around the corner and they still have to get suits.
Suits. Yes, suits are the reason why Taeyong is being dragged out of his house right now. He offered to just try and find his old church going outfit but it’s not proper enough. Plus he couldn’t find it.
It was Jaehyun that drove them to a suit place that his dad couldn’t shut up about for the past month. It’s for proper people who wear proper suits and it has a name that poor people can’t pronounce. Needless to say, a little certain somebody does not belong within staring distance of this store. The point is Taeyong wants to go home.
“Isn’t this place a little bit too pricey?” It’s a habit of Taeyong to look at price tags once going into a store. So that he knows if he belongs in it or not.
“Well it’s not our money we are spending.” Jaehyun grinned and hurried the other further inside the store. “So go pick out something, darling.”
Still it took Taeyong a literal push and shove to even touch the things in the store. Jaehyun acted like he owned the place but guess that happens when you are a trust fund baby. Or like how he calls it “having a job”. They did end up trying on suits with the help of a worker that offered as soon as Taeyong took interest. It felt like hours but they were able to find something that matched and they both ended up liking. That itself is a win for them to just agree on something, anything at this point. Since they were the only ones in the store the shop owner introduced himself and got talking to Jaehyun. To which Jaehyun just adored.
“What’s the special occasion?”
“I’m getting married.” Jaehyun, with too much of a happy face, smiled. Taeyong found it weird and couldn’t think much of it when the shop owner looked at him.
“You must be the best man then.”
“No, we’re actually marrying each other.” The disgusted face didn’t have to be visible on the man in order for Taeyong to understand where this conservation would lead.
“Oh...you two are?”
“Is there a problem with that?” The hand at the hip sent the man in a panic, “Not at all! Go finish ringing you two up.” He hurried away from them and the worker awkwardly walked away to the counter. Taeyong rolled his eyes with a grin-like smile.
“You okay?” Jaehyun went over to comfort the other but Taeyong laughed it off quickly.
“Yeah, that wasn’t my first time dealing with someone like that.”
“Like what?” Innocent. Taeyong’s eyes softened and continued on with a cheerful tone, “The homophobic ones.”
“Oh you’re-”
“Gay? Yeah pretty much and a big one.” Taeyong thought to reword that better after seeing Jaehyun’s expression not change. “Don’t worry I won’t fall for you.” He pat lightly punched him in the shoulder with a little nervous chuckle.
“Good…..I guess?” The tap bought Jaehyun out of his daydreaming that the other didn’t know was happening, "Um...come on I think we're done here."
