Anomalisa (2015) by Charlie Kaufman. The uneasy feeling an the end was somewhat explained when the name Kaufman shown at the credits. I wont be watching this if i knew its kaufman's. From Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, to this (Anomalisa), his bizzare idea of love, narcicism/self-love, and relationship always left me uneasy. No matter how much i love Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, i think i'll always have this dislikeness to Kaufman. What i got this time: "There is not going to be an 'all the time', is there? The Seventh Seal (1957) by Ingmar Bergman. The movie is surprisingly enjoyable, i found myself giggling along through it. Its probably a mix of them horses photobombing the scenes, or idk what. While the movie were supposed to challenge to on a whole different level of existentialism, beliefs, fate, and those kind of thing, the death itself looks cute bc it remind me of faceless. (Duh) What i got: life is like a game, you could challenge death but never to escape. Challenge deatg for a game of chess, and you'll ended up being chase. Persona (1996) directed by Ingmar Bergman. It was the second time i watch the movie, filled with hope that every aspect would be easier to enjoy. Yet here i am now, feeling capable to relate. What i got this time: in silence, betrayal, self-alienation, dunia panggung sandiwara, and layered mental illness. I believe good movies supposed to teach you somethinh, but really i dont think its healthy to binge watch bergman's. #tldr #ignorethis
