AK9 & Dave Schiemann - Stryker (No Mana Remix)
Hervé feat. Zebra Katz - Tear The House Up (Sleepy Tom Remix) Lovin' the warehouse vibes on this. Make sure to stick around for the second half.
Gazzo & Damien Anthony - C'Mon Freaks I'm not sure how long electrofunk has been around and who exactly started big-rooming it up, but gosh I am just loving it right now. New Jerseyans (is that what you call them???) Gazzo and Damien Anthony start this off minimally and they just keep building up from there, making sure to at least stop halfway for a nice chilled-out trap break. Eventually everything falls into place with the Gazzo sawtooth bass that we should all know and love. Everything in this track was mixed to perfection, right down to the cowbells. Hopefully it'll be played out a bunch this summer!
Fedde Le Grand, Jewelz & Sparks - Robotic It's always fun to hear a big room track that can add in some nice growl sounds somewhere in there without it seeming out of place. It's hard to tell when and where Fedde Le Grand contributed, as he likes to not have a set-in-stone style, but the Jewelz & Sparks sounds are very evident in this, and they do a good job of making sure no two bars sound exactly the same, something that doesn't happen nearly enough in the big room scene. Keep it up guys! This track is comin' out on Flamingo Recordings some time soon!
T-Pain feat. Yung Joc - Buy U A Drank (AWE's Marty McFly Bootleg) T-Pain tends to have phases where he's either a completely admirable singer/producer or the butt of all jokes, but no matter what, "Buy U A Drank" is a super sexy song that takes me back to the days of 2007 where rap music was about inventing new dances and people actually had accounts on Myspace. Like, on purpose. AWE must have seen this song from a different perspective however, as he took the acapella, threw it in the DeLorean, and set the destination for 1987, making sure to pack it with a plentiful supply of analog synths and snappy rock drum programming, hence why this is called the "Marty McFly Bootleg". This track should be wrong in every way, but AWE is so faithful to the 80's sound that I honestly believe that the average listener would be completely unaware that this was done in this century, on modern software. I really hope to hear more like this from the Californian producer, but I'm totally okay with going full-on Footloose to this for now.
