AI Challenge #7- July 2026
From my earliest memories, I have always wanted to be an astronaut and go to the moon and beyond.
I read and studied all I could in hopes that it would help me be an astronaut.
Eventually reality set in and I knew that I would never be able to go into space.
It was the time of my brothers graduation from college when I heard the words aerospace engineering and discovered a new goal. If I could not go into space then I would design the ships that would.
I set that as my goal and worked towards it, drawing and designing my own ships. Unfortunately, I just was not able to handle the math. I wish that the programs that they have today to inspire and help students with science, technology, engineering and math were there back in the day. Within my first trimester in college, I knew that it I would not make it through.
I then had the thought that there would need administrators and mangers for the aerospace industry. So I changed majors, and soon focused on airport management.
Despite numerous attempts, I was unable to pursue that career choice and took jobs that kept a roof over the head and food on the table.
Yet through all the jobs, I kept reading as I always had when I was growing up, exploring the imagination of others and creating worlds of my own imagining.
One night in college, I started to write down those voyages of my imagination. I was most put out when my pen ran out and I didn't have a spare. I started writing, short stories and then longer and longer ones.
So it is little surprise that my dream job is to be a writer.
and explore worlds of my own imagining.
Sort of just like what we do here.
Best of luck to all the participants
