You ask me "why hate russians so much π₯Ί they're just a people" and I'm just a teacher who needs to constantly help my children get to shelter in short amount of time, who needs to explain why do explosions happen, who can't even get to the job because our school is working online because school canalisation doesn't work during power outages that happen solely because russians destroyed our power plants, who is nervous and anxious because of attacks. Children should have their happy childhood without thoughts about attacks. We can't just ignore our reality and we can't disable war by simply putting tags russia is a terrorist state into ignored. I never chose the war. russians did chose it back in 2014 when they occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions and Crimea. They chose war back in 2008 when they occupied Georgia. They chose to start war against Syria, Chechnya. russians continue to choose war because they have nothing else and don't care about their own citizens. Imagine to spend shithole of money just for bombing neighbours in the night because they happen to be sovereign independent country.
My family and friends in Ukraine: *sitting under the missiles and drones without water, heating and electricity in the middle of winter*
Some Brit: BUT HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT MY RUSSIAN FRIEND USING VPN??? HAVE YOU??? THINK ABOUT MY POOR RUSSIAN FRIEND AND HER ACCOUNT
The funniest thing is, sanctions are affecting Ukrainians as well. For instance, people on the russian-occupied territories, and in some cases, just living close to those while still in the Ukraine government-controlled area, are unable to use various international financial services. And those are people in a very vulnerable position, who might need such services more than most. Only you don't see Ukrainians incessantly whining about this because you'll never believe it, but being attacked by russian missiles day and night with barely any breaks is infinitely worse, so anything that will interfere with russia feeding its war machine is welcomed, even if it may affect innocent Ukrainians due to circumstances/the companies not bothering to check further. But I also understand that no Ukrainian suffering can ever come close to what a poor little russians feels being forced to use VPN, thoughts and prayers π
So full concept sketches/doodles for my random unserious story/world of hero OCβs titled Soberman. If you need to know it started because one friend made a joke, I said I should totally make that a stupid comic one day and then two other friends helped give me unserious ideas to progress the plot and characters more.
The main hero/protagonist is called Soberman, an always drunken man who works at the bar. The moment he is sober he gains an intense amount of power and does his hero work. Practically everyone knows who he is. Pigeonman, briefly mentioned here, is the main antagonist. He is a maniac and has a horde of pigeons, hence pigeonman. He is a mind manipulator.
Just some small lore drop for yβall to go along with these doodles! Two versions for text as well!
Russians don't give love to their children, but they steal and re-educate Ukrainian children with such perverse fanaticism
That's horrifying to watch⦠I almost threw up when I was downloading that video.
My little brother and I were kidnapped by Russia along with 19,000 other children when Putin invaded Ukraine. We need American help to save
The most painful quotes:
-When the Russians took me, I was sent to a technical school where I was subjected to daily false stories about Ukrainians and sometimes even insults. One day, I was called to the principalβs office and when I got there, she had citizenship documents ready for me to sign. I was stunned and disgusted. I had never been more afraid, but I refused to become a Russian citizen.
The principal glowered at me with hatred in her eyes. She berated me for being "stupid." Moments later, I was expelled and sent packing, in a country that I did not know, and that hated who I was.
-After Save Ukraine helped me return home, I needed to get my brother out too. I found him in a new foster family, but he was not the boy I knew. He had been subjected to months of Russian propaganda and manipulation. He was like a puppet, saying things that I knew he did not believe β that Ukraine was run by Nazis, that nobody in Ukraine cared about him and that he had no future unless he became a Russian citizen.
-When I begged him to return home with me, he refused. Hour after hour ticked by as we argued. As I was about to lose hope, he came to his senses and agreed to come home with me. We were lucky. But there are 19,000 kidnapped Ukrainian children still in Russia. The Russian government bombards them with propaganda and abuse to weaken their Ukrainian identity. Many are punished for speaking Ukrainian.
I'm in tears: "... I feel very sad and have no desire to live". Russians' obsession is to break Ukrainians mentally, including children.
Ukraine has handed over to Qatar a list with the names of 561 Ukrainian children who were taken to Russia.
This was reported by Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.
βͺοΈWait for the return of a group of Ukrainian children home. We are not disclosing details at this time.
βͺοΈ Talking about the return of orphans and children deprived of parental care. Qatar agreed to work on the issue of their return to Ukraine. Preliminarily, there may be more than 3,600 such children.
βͺοΈQatar agreed to participate in negotiations with Russia on the return of civilians illegally detained by Russia.
Lubinets also once again refuted Russian propaganda: there were no direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. All negotiations are mediated by Qatar.
Only on 27 April 2023, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe recognized that the forced transfer of Ukrainian children to Russia meets the criteria of genocide.
I finally finished the banner art for my fantasy world which Iβve named βThiyuinaβ! Iβm so happy and like the simple line art for this. Fitting for some comic, when I get around to finishing my brainstorming and then finally drawing it. Anyways hope you guys like this!
Russians don't feel the need to hide any of their crimes. They are very open about committing genocide. Because they know there will be zero consequence. Because they know the world is perfectly fine with these things.
Kidnapped children being described as "calm", "obedient" and "treats adults with respect" as if they are pets π« Also most of these children were born before the occupation of Luhansk and had Ukrainian citizenship. The parents of some of them were killed by the occupation authorities, while others were simply given Russian documents to legalize their abduction.
I wonder, how many more grotesque evil stuff russians get to do before finally facing significant consequences? Entire Mariupol massacre wasn't enough. Torture chambers specifically for children in Kherson weren't enough. Bucha wasn't enough. What will?
You know how everyone in USA is foaming over Epstein doing this essentially in secret having just come to light but Russia is doing it out in the open from the jump and precisely nobody fucking cares?
