a la iamnomes...
i got me a new nephew this week! his name is seth and if that ain't just the manliest little man name out there, i don't know what it. he has a handsome little face with rosebud lips, little delicate ears, and big hands.
also, i finished uni FOR THE YEAR on friday. i am definitely going to make up for the whole no-holidays-between-finishing-BA-and-starting-MA thing. yipppeeee!
had the best ten days with my cousins who came to stay. seriously, so so good to hang out with these girls, their menfolk, and their babies.
the civil wars are coming to brisbane in march!! booking tickets to go see them with mitanika.
i'm really noticing lately how many good people God has surrounded me with, and how lovely they are, and how sometimes great friendships can grow slowly and surprisingly. yay, God! yay, cool people!

You will keep secrets, little-version-of-me, that you can't imagine having to keep. You will see things broken down and built up again. You will develop a rich and thankful appreciation for your amazing family. That's all I can really tell you. I'll leave the rest for you to figure out on your own. I wish I could have some of your starry-eyed optimism to keep me company nowadays, but I don't really think I'd trade that for what these years have shown me -- will show you -- of grace. God keeps His promises, Danielle. You don't need to be scared to grow up.

A Zombies Run mix.
Children of the Light by Lecrae // I notice when people notice me; my exterior is the only way they know it's me. I'm full of holes and scars, my skin's marked up, but qualified to light up a world of darkness.
Forward Motion by Relient K // Oh oh, I been bangin' my head against the wall for so long that I got knocked out.
Mess of Me by Switchfoot // I am my own affliction. I am my own disease. There ain't no drug that they can sell, no drug to make me well.
Breathin' to Death by Lecrae // I ain't livin', I'm just breathin' to death.
Trademark by Relient K // I just fall apart 'cause that's my trademark.
Daylight by Remedy Drive // Has everything you've counted on left you right here with no warning? Hold on; daylight is coming.
Free by Switchfoot // Come set me free. Inside this shell is a prison cell.
Heartbeat by Remedy Drive // You heard me cry emergency. I'm screamin' out for help; save me from myself.
Can't Shut Up by Anthem Lights // This much I know: I am not alone, and I know I'm not the only one who found the way home.
You Have What I Need by Hawk Nelson // I want what you have and you have what I need.
Bullet Soul by Switchfoot // We rise and fall together; our hearts still beat below.
Can You Feel It? by David Crowder Band // Can you feel it? The hope in this place?
Neverending by David Crowder Band // This changes everything, making our whole existence worth something.
At Least We Made it This Far by Relient K // I guess we made it, or at least we made it this far, and it all looks smooth from here.
Stationary Stationery by Anberlin // I thought you said that you'd come find me. I thought you said you'd be home by now.
The Runaways by Anberlin // Do you expect me to wait here? All alone in my thoughts and fears?
I've made a mess of me. I wanna get back the rest of me. I wanna spend the rest of my life alive.
