I watched the mlb movie and caught up w the show so I got au brainrot again 💀 My first post was more silly and had smaller snippets but somehow I got carried away and ended up drawing a lot more than the first time around. I’ll post it in parts tho so I don’t overload one post 🙏

In short, Tim -> likes Conner…but is fond of Superboy? Kon -> likes Robin, but has gotten to know Tim a lot better.

And the timeline/world for this au is a big mishmash of 90s comics/ROTS movie/TT03/2000s comics and headcanons, so in summary for backstory for this post especially:

Superboy - during Superman’s death, he was created at Cadmus (w funding from Lex) and told he was Superman’s clone, even if he is a lot younger and different. Like the comics/my headcanon, he is fascinated by the celebrity life and Lex who promised him he’d be as great as Superman, assigned him Rex Leech who would be his personal agent/pr manager/etc. Lex was kind of like…his funder and sponsor that promoted him as the guy that would give new hope in Supermans absence.

Flash forward to Superman’s return, he decides to go on a world tour/become disillusioned with celebrity life until Clark comes and takes him to the farm and suggests he lives as Conner Kent to get away from the likes of people like Lex and Rex lol. So he’s not connected to them by contract anymore but he will do things out of obligation (like being a bodyguard at a party)

In this au, Lex doesn’t know Conner is Superboy either, and he hasn’t told Kon to what extent he was involved in Kon’s creation (yet…) but he’s hinted at it before

Tim - in this au, he’s also been operating as Robin for a longer time but is recently dealing with also becoming Tim Drake-Wayne and preparing to become the possible successor to Bruce Wayne’s company so that’s why he’s at this fancy party 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I haven’t quite decided how much of his backstory to adapt to this au specifically but he becomes Robin in a similar way as his debut with becoming Robin bc he sees that Batman is lost without one and Batman needs a Robin. By the time this au starts he’s gone to different schools and I guess is going to a new one where Conner is also attending? Also his parents are now dead in this 😔 and he’s very secretive compared to Superboy and is the one that attaches more weight to a secret identity

they somehow go to the same school idk don’t worry about it i throw logic out the window in this regard for my silly lovesquare shenanigans 🫡 the World building isn’t the main focus it’s just a backdrop to their dynamic anyways . Here. Take my cringe.

A random comic from the lovesquare au during an arc where kons self esteem as superboy was really low. There was supposed to be a part before this explaining it and a whole actual plot but I gave up on it. It mostly revolved around the perceived distrust he believed Robin had for Superboy, as well as criticisms from the public regarding his actions (sort of like in some of the ‘94 comics) making him question himself. I drew the above comic basically a year ago but since I gave up on the other one I might as well just post this now.

Anyways this will barely make sense but Conner -> Tim / Robin -> Superboy is sort of supposed to be like the early timkon dynamic in the comics where they’d sometimes butt heads, but then the Tim -> Conner/Superboy-> Robin is supposed to be like later timkon where there’s more obvious admiration lololol

Superboy -> Robin: Admired and is obsessed with Robin

Robin -> Superboy: Thinks he’s annoying and cocky

Timothy Drake-Wayne is the prestigious son of the wayne family, Conner Kent is a farmboy from the countryside

Tim -> Conner: crushing on/gets flustered by conner

Conner -> Tim: thinks he's stuck up and pretentious

Superboy, flying behind Robin: Gee, Rob. How do you come up with plans so quickly?

Robin, looking back: Maybe if you spent less time thinking of those dumb one-liners, you could help…

Superboy: Hey—my one-liners are great!

Bart: Everyone knows Robin’s just a myth, dude.

Conner, smitten: Only cuz he prefers the night, where he has complete control and freedom to do whatever he wants—he’s so coool.

Bart: You sound like you have a crush.

Steph watching Tim blush from behind: Are you okay?

Superboy floating above Tim with a hand on his shoulder: Don’t worry, Mr. Drake-Wayne-or-whatever. I’m the best bodyguard you’re ever gonna meet. See I’ve got this thing called TTK…

Conner, handing Tim his camera: You take really cool photos! Maybe you should hang out with us more often—no offense, but you need to loosen up, dude.

Tim eagerly nods.

Superboy, offering his hand: I’d be a pretty lousy hero if I couldn't even cheer one guy up so…you cool with heights?

Tim, taking his hand: Yeah, I’m… more than cool.

Superboy carries Tim bridal style across the night sky.

Tim, holding onto Superboy: I don’t think I expected you to he so…

Superboy: Charming? Handsome?

Tim: sweet.

Superboy: Oh. Guess I’m surprised too. Didn’t think you’d trust me to do this.

Tim: …I think you’re trustworthy.

Superboy: Ha! Tell that to Robin!

Conner sits next to Tim at the table

Conner: Hey…I heard…from a friend…that you were feeling down, and I know we haven’t always gotten along but you’re still one of my friends…

Conner, holding out a slice of pie: So I made you a pie! Actually, I didn’t make it…Ma did..but she said pie always makes you feel better—but you don’t have to eat it if you don’t want to!

Tim: Oh wow

Tim, taking a bite of the pie: Dude—this is so good!

[Timkon lovesquare au] okay here’s the part I never posted here! This was a two part comic with the first one exploring superboy going for more traditional superman look (sort of based on an mlb episode where chat noir changes his whole suit and demeanor) after getting shunned by the public and media while this part was about Tim’s belief in him inspiring him to just be superboy

I’ve honestly been so busy with two jobs and having like no free time that I barely draw but I want to add more comics to this au 😣🙏
