people saying my evil clone would be called greenstonedust but you have failed to consider that 'evil' and 'opposite' are not the same. we all have capacity for evil and thus my opposite self would not be evil, they would be as complex and flawed as i am, just in ways that contrast my own flaws. my EVIL clone would be called shadowkiller666dust the fallen angel of blogging. and they would be cool as fuccckkkkkkkk.
Found out I was short fabric on another project and decided I wasn’t going into town to pick it up, so I pulled a jelly roll out to keep myself busy until I went back to town.
Figured I do a quick quilt top, you know, just throw something together.
And then I made two blocks of the forty eight needed for this Harvest quilt and boy howdy.
So we have this bin of partially used bobbins for the long arm. And we only have so many bobbins of course.
I decided that since the quilt top was so colourful, I’d put plain flat black cotton the back and use up some of these bobbins, making the quilting on the back really stand out.
Holy shit did it work or what! I love it, of course LOL
I used a medium purple on the top so it would fade into the patchwork and not show up too much on the background. The quilting pattern is called Pink Lemonade and it is one of my favourite quilting patterns.
I didn’t have any left over border fabric, so I found a nice blue that matched with that print and made it my binding. I debated using purple, but couldn’t convince myself to do it.
The blue looks good though, from the front and the back.
@bandomfandombeyond you asked if I had hand sewn this and how long it took, and no, I did not hand sew it, that would have been so much more work than my wrists and hands can handle!
I used a Brother sewing machine to piece the quilt top and the long arm sewing machine at my work to do the quilting!
I opened up the jelly roll and cut the background fabric on January 30th and finished burying the last threads on April 3rd (according to the dates on my photo roll LOL)

"Well, I have those dreams already," Pomni says. There's a flash of a terrified Jax staring her down. "And they're not nearly as nice."

"This is real," she says, turning to look at Jax. "I know it is."
She extends a hand to Jax, sending ripples through the space. "Because I know you."
Jax gives her pained look as he considers her, then shrugs it off. “Ha!” he chokes out, hiding his face with a shaky smile. “God, Pomni.”

He reaches for her hand. "One of these days you're gonna-
"Wake up." Pomni's hand clenches around nothing. On the floor of the pillow fort, she quietly looks on as Jax's abstraction sleeps next to her.

This phrase has already entered my vocabulary re: media criticism where like. The viewer has a concrete view of what they expect a story to be based on the tropes and cliches they're used to seeing together, and when that doesn't happen, they judge it as a failed depiction of what they assumed it was going to be instead of judging it as what it actually is.
"This show is problematic because the hero didn't kill the villain at the end": When does he steal the bread?
"These two characters who were close friends throughout the series don't kiss at the end! What the fuck?": When does he steal the bread?
"This feels like it's missing a conclusion! Like, the protagonist does bad stuff and because of a critical decision he makes as a result of his major character flaws, meets tragedy in the end!
