Just got some incredible advice from a guy who owns 3 successful businesses (and I really had to keep asking the right questions cuz at first he just said hard work lol). First 2-3 years in business, especially first 6mo-1 year, you start a simple business and then leave the money/reinvest the earnings back into the business, up to 60% of profit on marketing. Expect usually lower profit margins while you build customer and vendor relations. Then you can increase profit margins with lower cogs and see real returns as you do more volume. Obviously there’s a lot more details that go into it but that’s the best equation for business I’ve ever heard and I’ve done so much business training, education, and discussion with business people. Also means I gotta keep these side hustles while I build up my main biz and there’s nothing wrong with that.
