Dva Photo Shoot!
I think it was about a month ago that I decided to drag my friends to a local book/record store and had them take photos of me.Â
It sounds weirder than it was... I think.Â
The result was a very fun day though! They took a good amount of photos, and to my surprise I liked many of them.Â
I wasnât surprised that I liked the photos because they lacked photography skills - yes, neither of them have professional experience, in fact it was one of my friendâs first time doing anything with a camera - I was surprised because I really liked the way I looked in the photos.Â
Despite being into cosplay for several years now, and despite having posed for photos before at conventions, I can never get used to the idea of having my photograph taken.Â
It was part of the reason I dragged my friends into helping me with the photo shoot ; I wanted and still do want to get better at posing for cosplay photos. I want to be able to capture the essence of a character the next time Iâm asked for a photo at a con. Even though I know that I donât look like many of the characters I choose to cosplay I do want to be able to capture their personalities.Â
Iâve still got a long way to go before I can comfortably pose in front of a camera, but these fun little photo shoots are helping.Â
