wedding of Francis J Hansford & Fairy Moon, 1930
Wait, there was an actual person named Fairy Moon and she got married in a cave??? That is some fae shenanigans.
...did she take her husband's name?
Yes! Fairy Moon was the daughter of Frank Moon, an Australian speleologist (someone who studies caves). Here is an article about Frank that includes the cave pictured here.
As for the last name, I unfortunately haven’t spent enough time researching yet to answer!
why would I buy candy when frozen raspberries are like 5 bucks for a whole sack of 'em

This shot is kinda growing on me, even though its barely legible.
Shot in the local campus library on drug store film from like 20+ years ago. On a Holga 120n adapted for 35mm. So, one of those rolls thats all vibes no finesse lol. Anyway I made it black and white because I liked it better that way.
I want to be excited about pride month – I think its a good concept – but it's hard for me to get into it.
Maybe its my local pride organization, which basically only throws drag shows and a couple of under-attended panel events.
Maybe its being a trans woman and feeling like its just easier for other queers to find community. But that's a whole can of worms I don't have energy for.
Maybe its the fact that, in spite of all these rallying cries of "pride is a protest!" in practice there's just a lot of emphasis on boring parties.
Probably its all of the above. I dunno.
