Happy Aleksis Kivi Day and Finnish Literature Day!
This day is a Finnish flag day in honour of author Aleksis Kivi (1834–1872), known for being the first professional Finnish-language writer and Finland’s national author. His novel "Seven Brothers", published in 1870, has been described as the first novel in Finnish.
The anniversary of Kivi's birth is also celebrated as Finnish Literature Day.
I bought this comic book - Mika Lietzen's Skotlannin matkakirja 'Scotland travel book' and fell in love with it.

The tramline 44 takes you from Montgomery station to Tervuren tram station.
What to see in Helsinki?
If you are in the city center, popular sights are the Uspenski Cathedral and Helsinki Cathedral.
Only a short ferry trip away, there's the Suomenlinna sea fortress. Don’t forget to visit the small library!
Fan of classical music? The Sibelius Monument in Töölö is a stunning sculpture!
The Helsinki metro is orange! It will take you as far as Vuosaari (except during summer 2025 change to bus in Itäkeskus). Uutela or Kallahdenniemi might be your thing if you like nature!
