i turn 30 today. very strange and i have many thoughts about it that are hard to parse through the annual (mini) mortality crisis that occurs every single year on my birthday, but mostly i think i'm grateful. i've had a really wonderful life so far, all things considered.

#yesterday my not-advisor asked me what i had on my bucket list for my 20s that i haven't done yet #and i realized there really isn't anything i wanted to do in my 20s that i didn't get to

the obnoxiously sumptuous, recherché cold brew i started last night with pink pepper, white cardamom, and orange peel mixed into the grounds is the only reason i’m even considering getting out of bed before 10am today

two more insufferable cold brew recipes i keep on rotation for anyone interested:

for coffees with lots of floral notes, mix rosemary, lavender, and a few pods of cardamom into the grinds

for super chocolatey or fruity coffees: skin and/or mash some seasonal fruits, put at bottom of jar and cover with honey water (equal parts honey and hot water, cooled). mix allspice, pink peppercorn, and powdered vanilla into the coffee grinds.
