There's freedom in realizing not much matters in life but a major cause of my depression is that the meaningful things are withheld from blameless people while the most violent are showered with it. The only solace is that maybe the fear of God will strike when they are faced with all their sins after they die.

This may sound naive but I never really realized how embedded racism is in a liberal zionists' POV that it affects their perception of reality to extreme degrees. Logically, I knew they were racist. I knew they viewed Palestinians as not as important (if at all) as Israeli Jews. But seeing them argue about the inherent sanctity of human life while everyone is quietly ignoring the suffering of Palestinians going on in the background, as if that's a given in their world, shocks me anew every time.

Are you so important that you think your life should be prioritized over others? You are a person. Your life means nothing as much as mine does. But you're so selfish that you think that your sorrows outweigh everyone else's. And they have the audacity to philosophize over nothing.

There are actually multiple reasons for this, most of them are intentional racism from the side of the israeli people and israeli government (as in it's not just governmental policies, which contribute heavily, but also indepedent attitudes to renting to Palestinian Muslims in particular).

The most obvious one is that israel is considered the "jewish state" and as such, the "land of israel" is for the "jewish people" meaning they own it and have unique rights to build and develop on it, whereas Palestinians are often refused to build. It's often viewed as an "invasion" for Palestinians with israeli citizenship to buy land and due to the Jewish National Fund and Israeli government, the "state land" is only "state land" for the jewish people, again, because of the jewish state. There are even jewish orgs that discourage "race mixing" between jews and non-jews that participate in preventing Palestinians from joining jewish towns.

Mayors, government officials, building owners, and land owners in general outwardly tell jews not to rent to Palestinian arabs, and there's no real government protection for Palestinians in this case. And this is an issue not just because it's fucking racist as hell, but because there have been no new Palestinian villages/towns since 1948 because of the government restrictions for Palestinians ability to claim land.

So for Palestinians, there isn't really another choice for them other than to "rent" from jews if they need a new house or something. Now of course, this doesn't meant they *dont* build — they do... But they run the risk of having their housing get demolished because they didn't get a permit.... that they wouldn't have gotten even if they applied for it.

Now you might say, "why don't Ayrabs given land to jews in Ayrab towns? check mate you camel jockey" its because if Palestinians give land to jews then Palestinians will almost certainly never have access to that land again and also it's the responsibility of the majority in this case to accommodate the minority.

There's a Palestinian org called Adalah that deals with civil rights issues in "israel" and the west bank, they have reports on this for decades. It wasn't a secret or anything, jewish communities around the world just do not care that much to make a big deal about it lol. Actually a lot of american jews specifically go to and enjoy israel because of how segregated it is.

(still on a social break) One thing I realized about not being on socials for months is that people use anecdotal, personal evidence in place of actually having a political opinion supported by factual events wayyyyy too much and it's become such a standard way of operating in online spaces that saying things like "my iranian friend said she appreciates the bombing of her home country" and then you do some digging and find out they're an american/canadian pahlavist who looked at venezuela and think "that's what's going to happen to iran" and generally have an incredibly juvenile understanding of middle eastern politics and amerisrael wartime intentions. It's really shocking to me that people like this are taken seriously but then again they're taken seriously be a) people who are also incredibly politically illiterate and b) people who have a very obvious political, pro-hawk agenda.

No, Iranians in iran do not like being blown up by amerisrael? And no, Pahlavi will not save you and RETVRN iran to its former glory, this isn't even a child's understanding of politics, it's something else entirely.

And this is kind of a side note but whenever they say things like "western leftists stop lecturing xyz about-" just, real quick, what does "western leftist" mean exactly like who comes up in your mind when you think that because it is one of the most vague terms dems especially use. Like what are you trying to say exactly, stop using buzzwords and say exactly what you mean. I honestly don't understand what their points are and I think that's the point, they want to cloud their actual choice which is "i'm coolly ambivalent to endless middle eastern war as long as it doesn't affect Israel as much as Israel affects everyone else." Like they're just saying random things so they don't have to say that statement outloud.

You can't "two thoughts can be true at the same time" your way out of this, no one needs your in depth political analysis thats not even historically accurate and is littered with anecdotal evidence to support your arguments. Either you are for the war that is currently happening or you're against it, like just say it and follow through if you're actually against the war none of this bullshit, juvenile philosophics, you lot are genuinely not smart enough to engage in productive conversation so just do something.
