We the undersigned wish to announce that the self-declared “ELF Union” does not speak for all, let alone the majority, of Super Junior fans. We announce our full and whole-hearted support for the inclusion of members Henry and Zhoumi into Super Junior activities, including but not limited to:

Super Shows (any and all stages)

Press conferences for the group Super Junior

Special performances by the group Super Junior

Promotional activities by the group Super Junior

Solo activities of the two members supported by the ELF fanbase and Pearl Sapphire Blue colour

Introductions as members of Super Junior and participation in the group handsign and greeting “We are Super Juni-or!”

Inclusion of promotional material for any and all projects related to Henry and Zhoumi on all official lines of communication between the group Super Junior, their company SM Entertainment, and ELF.

Lastly, we would like to make clear that while we do not purpose to speak for all ELF, we declare the choice of name for the group “ELF Union” to be fraudulent and misleading. We are disheartened to find that our fandom is still not whole, but refuse to compromise on what we believe to be a policy of respect and inclusion. For us, Super Junior will always be a group of 15: starting with Leeteuk, ending with Henry.

From fans wishing for their family to be whole.

Looking at the bigger picture AKA why are people mad at Hyukjae?

I see a lot of people saying they are disappointed in Eunhyuk after this speech, but I hope more of those people take a second to look at the whole story. Only13 started a petition that wanted Henry and Zhoumi reduced to SJM activities only. They stated explicitly that they consider them guest members and that they don't want any solo activities of those two members to be associated with Super Junior. They also don't want them to appear in the introductory MENT for Super Shows, or the closing part. Nor do they want them performing any song that is not explicitly an SJM song.

Did Hyuk say that is what was going to happen? No. If he was truly pandering to the vocal minority then he'd have announced HenMi would again reduce their involvement with SS5. Instead he made the point that Henry and Zhoumi are just as important as the other members of SJ and would continue to be treated as family, without causing the huge flaming uproar that would be the result of announcing they are officially SJ members.

Think for one second: if Hyuk announced that SJ was officially adding Henry and Zhoumi to the lineup, what would happen? Would Only13 just up and leave the fandom en masse? You are crazy if you think that. What would happen is we'd go back to seeing those heartbreaking moments where Only13 tries to drown out Henry and Zhoumi's lines. We'd see them bullied at the level they were bullied initially. Basically, it would make their lives hell again. Only13 have proved time and time again they are the most psychotic part of our fandom. I doubt they are above bringing back those awful tactics, and I think if the boat was rocked too much we'd just see these terrible things happening again.

Eunhyuk made a speech that is hopefully sufficient to shut Only13 up without saying Henry and Zhoumi would lose any rights and privileges they have acquired slowly over the years. It sucks to compromise ---- but do you instead want SM to instead make a decision that will release the kraken on poor Henry and Zhoumi once again?

I don't.

Heechul needs to come back and go full on bitch mode to Only13. I hope he does. I hope he is just like "WHAT THE FUCK DID I HEAR HAPPENED WHILE I WASN'T HERE? YOU FUCKERS STILL EXIST, EH? WELL LET ME TELL YOU.."

Hyuk gave a smart response. He shot down the "guest member" thing by saying they are permanently part of SJ's family. If he said they were in SJ officially it would have made hell break out and just caused HenMi more pain (Only13 would become more active at concerts again probably). So he just shut them down without making them angrier.

It sucks that they'll never say they are part of SJ. It sucks to have to pander to shitheads, but this is how business works.

We can all dream of a day when SJ can just tell Only13ers to get the fuck out of the fandom.... maybe Heechul can rock the boat when he gets out? Oh god I hope so
