Page 1: BJ pulls it’s shirt off. It is braless and without its bandana. Long hair spills over its shoulders. It climbs on top of Rodney, leaning in close. Rodney is dressed down to her bra. With their faces just inches apart, they smile at each other. BJ begins to grow nervous as Rodney continues smiling. Eventually, BJ turns away.

Page 2: Rodney asks, “what’s wrong?” BJ lifts a hand to its face, avoiding looking at Rodney. It says, “I feel weird having sex with you right now. You’re high.” Rodney replies, “I’m always high.” BJ says, “Yeah, and I’m not…” Rodney looks up at BJ with a tense expression and says, “well, you can smoke if you wanna, but then I’d feel feel weird.” BJ squeezes it’s eyes shut and turns toward the ceiling groaning, “Can we just do something that’s ‘gay sex’ without having sex?” Rodney blushes and asks shyly, “like, stab each other with knives..?” BJ answers, “More like take my keyboard apart and put it back together.” BJ and Rodney sit on the floor in front of the sofa with a keyboard. Both are dressed down to their underwear. Keys are scattered across the floor and BJ holds one up to its face with interest. Rodney lays on her stomach and blushes as she pokes at the keyboard. /END ID]

[ID: “Rodney #6, neo’s world #18.” Rodney covers her face with her hands and says, “sorry.” She lays curled on the floor. BJ lounges next to her and says, “Do you apologize this much when you’re sober?” Rodney responds, “no, but I wasn’t kidding about being high forever. I wish I could go back, but I have to live with this now.” She pulls her hands away from her face and stares at her palms, sweating. BJ looks at her in sympathy then tensely looks away. It admits, “I don’t smoke cus I’m scared it’ll make me act normal.” Rodney responds, “please never get normaler.” BJ smiles and says, “I won’t.” Rodney tears up and continues, “I’d be so so sad.” BJ asks in amused shock, “Are you crying?” /END ID]

if a characters name is just a word related to their powers or job then they are transgender. because obviously their parents wouldnt know that information the second theyre born so how would they have those names. its because they named themselves

[ID: “Hey don’t get scared but this one has a slur in it, neo’s world #17.” BJ walks down the street with a rabbit person, smiling and chatting. Someone shouts “Ni hao” at BJ and the speech bubble pushes against their face, knocking them back and irritating them. A bird man grips a railing and leans over it, sneering and shouting “Ni hao” repeatedly. He seems to tower over BJ as they look on in blank shock.

BJ describes the events to someone on the phone as they stand in an entryway with keys hung on the wall and they shrug off their jacket. The phone crackles, “Why would he say that?” BJ says, “Because he thinks I’m Chinese, mom!” The phone responds, “Sure but, honey, you don’t look oriental.” BJ stands in shock, distorted and stretched with wide blank eyes, and the phone hovers by their ear. In the corner is text, “What. The. Fuck.” /END ID]

[ID: “Rodney #5, neo’s world #16.” Rodney imagines drifting on a floatie in a pond, surrounded by plants and a frog on a lily pad. BJ hovers over her, asking, “Do you have a ride?” Rodney dazedly replies, “wuh.” Returning to reality, Rodney sits in a booth with an empty drink and half-eaten burger. BJ tells her, “we’re closing.” Now on a bus, BJ and Rodney sit together surrounded by empty seats. Rodney rests her hands on her knees and holds her face in her hands. Eyes squeezed right, she says, “sorry for being weird.” BJ replies, “It’s okay.” The panel frame is drawn decoratively with bus stripes and moving tires kicking up dust. /END ID]

[ID: “Recognition, neo’s world #15.” BJ says, “Your total is $18.99.” The customer smiles and says, “I like your pin!” BJ is shocked and responds “Oh! Thanks.” The pin reads “He”. Both look bashful and the customer continues, “I just got top surgery last year.” BJ says, “I’m trying to get on T.” The customer walks out the door with a bag of food as he says, “You won’t regret it!” BJ waves and replies, “Have a good one!” BJ’s expression turns blank as he walks through the dining room, into the kitchen, past a cook, and into the storage room. Now, he smiles and flails his limbs around ecstatically. /END ID]
