Still terrified. No, more terrified to fall asleep. I'm doing everything I can to stave off exhaustion. I don't know how long I can keep this up.
Confession
Every night is a struggle. Every night I am terrified to fall asleep. My heart gets faster, my breath shorter. I wake up with a start when I begin to doze off multiple times. When I finally fall asleep I have nightmares. I know I'm lucky. I know it could be so much worse, but it's exhausting and makes my evenings a mess of anxiety. By the time 5 o'clock rolls around, I'm fretting about going to sleep. Every night I'm convinced I will never wake up. I don't know what to do, I don't know how to overcome this. What do I do? The thing is, telling anyone terrifies me. Admitting to others what I've been hiding for so long is more terrifying than my nightly battle, because then they could call me crazy. They could ridicule me, they could tell me nothing's wrong at all and that there's nothing wrong with me. I'm overreacting. I'm being a baby. Every night, I don't want to do it anymore.

Meet the man who survived both Hiroshima and Nagasaki
70 years ago today, 29-year-old Tsutomu Yamaguchi was visiting Hiroshima on business and had been walking to his office. In a 2010 interview with ABC News Australia, Yamaguchi spoke of the horror he felt that day. He described that it appeared as if the “sun had fallen.“ Yamaguchi was lucky, though he suffered severe burns, he was able to escape the city. But fate would strike twice.
The U.S. Education system really needs to correct the way Hiroshima and Nagasaki are taught in classes.
