Everyone was anxious for the routine meeting to start, simply so it could be over and done with and then everyone could go their separate ways as they wished. If you had to guess, nothing important would be discussed, probably just Tony showing off some new gadget he wanted you all to ooh and ahh over. All you would have to do would be provide him with the validation he desired and leave.
The usual crew was there. Peter, who still looked nervous after all this time, was sitting closest to Tony on Tony’s right. Natasha sat diagonally from Peter, talking to Clint on her left. Two seats down from Clint was Steve, and across from Steve was Thor. Neither Bruce nor Wanda was there yet, and you had just arrived. Though the group could have been considerably larger had any of the rest of the team been invited, the meeting room was still too crowded for your liking.
If it wasn’t just you and Steve, it would always be too crowded for your liking.
