The Christmas Invasion
"I'm sorry, comparisons are odious. It's chalk and cheese. Next question!"
Patricia Quinn, on being asked to compare the "enthusiasm" of Doctor Who fans vs Rocky Horror fans at Gallifrey One
Duck face and non-compliance with Kelly Sue DeConnick at SDCC!
(She said she liked my pants, too.)
Text message conversation of the now.
This is the backpack you're looking for.
"He's no good to me with food between his teeth."
Kieron Gillen posing with a group of The Wicked + The Divine cosplayers.
It’s an éclair au chocolat with a lightsaber on, thanks for asking.
Doof! Doof! Doof!
Some woman casually dropped this on the counter and kept walking.
ALIEN eggs in a carton.
Red right hand.
Chris Hardwick and Peter Capaldi at the Doctor Who panel at SDCC
Hardwick: Why do you think [the Doctor] is so enamored of humans?
Capaldi: Budgetary reasons.
"People ask me, when did you first feel like you were on Doctor Who? I think it was when they threw a rubber spider in my face and said ‘Fight it’ and I said, ‘Doesn’t it work? Where’s the operator?’ ‘There is no operator; it’s a big rubber spider. Fight it!’
Peter Capaldi, SDCC 2015 Doctor Who panel
Hodor.
It begins.
The SDCC 2015 Thursday schedule is live as of today and already the wailing and gnashing of teeth over double-booked slots is beginning. Currently vexing: David Aja’s “Behind the Pages” and Kelly Sue DeConnick’s writing workshop programmed against each other. And then there’s the Doctor Who panel at 2:00 PM. Odds of getting in: slender.
The nerdpromnomnom team—me ( hangingfire ), rocketsandrayguns, chicklittumbls, and notionblur—will be back in action again this year. Stay tuned.
Here are some photos from The Line For Hall H.
p.s. We didn't get in.
